For all of you that are interested in using all the figures that Emirates currently use in their 777's - here you go! (All up to date as received from someone currently on the fleet!) Cost Index - 36 (Typically Mach .83) The 777 does prefer .84! Fuel Freeze Temp - Default -40 but for ULR's over the pole you use -47 Westbound and -40 Eastbound. However I'm not sure if that will change a thing in Flight Simulator since I assume all freezes at Standard -40. C.G - 300ER: 17.5%, 200LR & Freighter: 20%, 777-300 & 777-200/ER: 30% For all of you that didn't know that you have to enter fuel freeze & C.G in the 777's FMC - now you do! Please note they're Emira…

Ok, so the finals week is just around the corner. And when I mean around the corner I mean next week :-0! I would love, love if the T7 came out this weekend. Would definitely help me out with studying. Nothing like doing a nice trans-atlantic flight while studying for your Commercial FAA Test :-D..but I can or we can only dream, huh? Usually I am pretty patient with PMDG and their release dates but the love for the T7 is just eating me from the inside out! One more thing! I would love to thank PMDG for their products and their amazing, amazing job on the reality of their products.

I recommend this DVD: Can be bought at this webiste: http://www.worldairr...rCanada772.html I got it a couple of days ago and I found time watching it this evening. Especially the Vancouver-Sydney flight is fantastic. A really good captain and F/O explaining a lot of the basics of the 777-200LR cockpit (including the EFB, and some digital ATC communication systems). I hope no one has posted this before, if so, then I sincerely apologize. Myself, I can't wait for the 777! I'm longing to fly some Trans-Atlantic flights on VATSIM in the cockpit of a 777. See you in the virtual skies and greetings from Sweden!

Hey Guys !!!! I had one of my best days in my life yesterday, i am currently doing Aviation Management at Georgian College in Barrie, near Toronto , Canada. My class was taken to the Toronto Pearson Intl National airport yesterday for a full day tour of the airport. To begin with i am in the final stages of completing my Canadian Commercial Pilot License. But funding problems are keeping me away from flying for while. My hopes of finishing the rating before spring next year is pretty much next to none. I am an avid flight sim enthusiast as well, started way back in fs2002, but never really got into the FMC stuff till FSX. Let me go in detail: Read on g…

Hi fellow simmers, Sorry for the title, I know it's bad but I couldn't come up with anything better... Well, what I am asking for is, can anyone tell me where I can find the FCOM(s) for the 777 and/or other documents that can help me get going with learning in depth the 777 systems so that I am ready when the PMDG 777X is available? Youtube videos, trustworthy, are also appreciated. I will probably buy the Angle Of Attack 777 when it comes out as I am a fan of what they do, and I like supporting them but for now I would like some documentation. Is the whole Captain's package from PMDG the one and only way to go? It is, sorry for my language but, so damn expensive. …

I wonder who can answer all of these fun facts about the 777 correctly??? The first to get them all correct gets a free copy of the PMDG B777. Nah, just kidding - but you will be smarter than everyone else!!! 1. When did the first Boeing 777 enter service? 2. How many parts are there in a Boeing 777 airplane? 3. What is the maximum cruise altitude that the Boeing 777 is capable of? 4. Which British band wrote a song in which the Boeing 777 is named? 5. What is the name of the song of the abovementioned British band? 6. When did the Boeing 777 attain ETOPS certification with the FAA? 7. The Boeing 777 was the first airplane to attain ETOPS certi…

Just a quick note to remind all users it's NOT ok to post copyrighted images into a forum post. It's never fun to be the one opening a nasty gram from a major photo website with legal notice to remove images. Been there, done that, and don't want anyone to be in that position on our forums. A suggestion might be to provide a link to the website where the picture is hosted if their policies allow that. Please know that if this is spotted, which has been increasingly prevalent, pictures will be removed and your account may be moderated depending on the severity and frequency.

AVSIM has it on good authority that Rob Randazzo has been through an epiphany. In his dotage, he has realized that he never did get flying the SAAB 340 correct (he never could figure out that rudder to yaw ratio thing), and decided that his roots really lie in twins; as in lower altitude twins. That and hopefully, with help from his friends, that he could get a rudder big enough to satisfy his need to saw bone those rudder pedals. So, as AVSIM is famous for doing, we are revealing tonight a super secret project that is an AVSIM EXCLUSIVE!!! All we have is a picture. No detail. No hints. Just a picture. We are told, with less than good authority, that if this were the …

Greetings all, In the 777 FCOM 2, there's a reference to a grid heading on higher latitudes (70 and up). The picture on the ND shows "Grid 237". What exactly does this mean? Many thanks.

Hey guys I can't wait to fly the 777, but I was wondering, do you guys know any flights that depart/land from/in California, that are no longer than 3 hours max? I read there used to be one from San Diego (ksan) to San Fransisco (ksfo). And while I am posting this, anyone know the best Southwest virtual airline? There are quite a few! Thanks, Daniel

Honestly I'm more of an UAE and BAW guy but since them as well as AFR, and UAL (the top 4 biggest operators of the 777) I had in my mind, will someone do a complete Paint Job for the entire UAE and BAW 777 fleet? or even your favourite 777 operator? I like to have a variety of different registrations which makes it a bit more realistic rather than flying the same aircraft lets say e.g G-RAES from EGLL-KJFK-EGLL-OMDB-EGLL-HECA-EGLL you get sort of tired with it. And ontop of that It does irritate me a bit when I look Vatsim and read someone's remarks and notice they're flying the same REG aircraft as me, if you know what I mean. The point I'm making is that to make i…

This was posted some 10 minutes ago on the PMDG facebook page. Just relaying it forward to here. "Tonight we have just put together another major update to the 777 for our internal team. As usual we are being very quiet about the state of the project, and what stage it is in. Those of you who have known us for a long time will recall that we go through these silent periods right before a major release begins to gain momentum toward the finish line. This one is gaining momentum. We promise- nobody is happier than we are! We aren't sure precisely when we will show you the big flight deck update, but it isn't far off now- at the very least, we'll talk Rob into u…
