I've just released my imagination... Let's say that during landing u overrun touching point a bit, so as result u have to apply heavy braking. At the end of the runway brake synoptic is showing amber brake temp. warning, 5 or more. U just vacate runway and suddenly plane stops because wheel thermal fuses melt down and all air from wheels is released. I think that simulate of thermal fuse action would contribute a lot to 777 simulation realism. Deflated tires could be simulated by stopping plane as with parking brake on. Visual and sound effect would be even better of course. I do not have a clue if this is possible to implement, but as i see PMDG can do a …

Please bear in mind having : 1) a PMDG plane 2) a bounch or third party airports 3) REXE 4) few small add ons running like airport taxi GPS, AES, etc.. I assume nothing below 5 Ghz would render around 25-30 fps. Have you perhaps tried the AMD FX 8350 ? Thx

Hi! If you're like me,eagerly waiting for the PMDG 777 I have a suggestion for you on how to kill some time: Create your own 777! It's pretty impressive with its size, about 45 cm wingspan. All you need is scissors, glue and a color printer. Oh, you need patience as well ^_^ Find the instructions and the sheets to print at Canon Papercraft http://cp.c-ij.com/en/contents/1006/ Good luck! Well...... According to Emirates Airline officials, the Boeing 777X is set to debut within 9 months time. I really hope PMDG will make the 777x before the 787 if the T7X really does become a reality within 9 months. Just can't wait!!! The 777x can go farther on less fuel with more passengers and also much, much bigger wings however I'm not too sure about the folding wings. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/emirates-sees-new-777-model-in-6-9-months-488931.html

"How Boeing Defied the Airbus Challenge: An Insider's Account" by Mohan R. Pandey. Boeing manager on the 777 program for ETOPS operations, and led the battle with Airbus who attemped to derail the 777 success by fighting against changes to existing ETOPS procedures. Lots of insight into the bird itself too, and how they built reliability and maintainability into it to allow ETOPS certification on delivery vs two years of operations (for ETOPS-180). Writing wasn't the best but the story is great. Spoiler Alert: Airbus fans will not like this book.

http://www.aviationw...3_p0-548819.xml Not that I expect will see this on the PMDG version, since it's going to be a whole new model, but I felt it relevant. And funny. E: And I typoed the topic. Lovely.

Do you plan on adding any fuctionality with the FMC that will be able to allow you to request a flight plan / route of flight?? Will the checklist or any aircraft specific features be accesible through the scratch pad middle console screen?? Will the bells and whistles that you normally hear when operating the FMC or Middle Screen be included?? I.E. Loading a Flight Plan

What would be the learning curve for 737NGX pilots? Obviously it's a new plane but I guess a lot will be similar such as the MCP and FMC?

/mode mad on / Hi gentlemen, You remember that conversation about what PMDG still hides about the 777, and what would be the new things ? Well, I even said that the last thing PMDG would have to model to be close to reality: the toilets. I know there are now two main wings in this forum: those who believe, those who don't. :p0302: I believe that it will be modeled. I know that this is a real challenge for the PMDG team, but they always break the tech barreer in simulation for years now. Now, one more element to try to convince you: I'm pretty sure that PMDG was about to integrate toilets system in the NGX, but that they didn't at the last moment, for…

Im all out of B777 YouTube clips and DVDs, watched countless hours of footage, now im lost ... I need to get stuck into the real deal, any more suggestions whilst we wait ? As for the seriously hurry up bit, I would rather wait and have a solid product than find anoying quirks in need of loads of patches.

Dear all, For my project of the University of Amsterdam for Applied Science, we've to do a project about Flight Planning & Operations with a malfunction about the following: Chiller Boost Fan u/s ATA: 21-26-02 There's alot to find on the internet, but cannot figure out what's the 'Chiller Boost Fan u/s'. Thus this came for me with the following questions: - What is the 'Chiller Boost Fan u/s' of the B777(-300); - If anybody had the ATA 21 for me, are you able to send me a PM about it? Kind regards, Steven

Guys, We're not going to entertain discussions about other products that are competing with our 777 here - sorry, it's just better that way if we don't. If you want to debate such things, that's what the Avsim general forum is for.

Just a curious question for the lot, How much is TOO much money to spend on this fantastic aircraft? What amount would you have a hard time clicking purchase? What would the add on have to be able to do for you to justify spending the amount you say is too much?

Good news for people without all day to sim the long haul routes who want to fly the 777 on 'unrealistic' short haul routes. Here are a couple of great real world excuses for using big planes (these were for the A380) on short to very short haul routes. BA will initially be flying their new A380's on short haul European routes to maximise cabin crew and pilot training opportunities, by using the planes this way their A380 crews can fly up to 4 sectors a day. Even better, when Air France were introducing their A380 fleet they flew them between Paris and London (just over 200 miles apart) partly for crew training and partly to not have the planes sitting around betw…

On long haul flight especially with the 777, VHHH>KEWR is 16.3 hours. Is anyone like me and fall asleep overnight and when you wake back up you only have 3-6 hours to go? Obviously if the flight is for fun, it would be a pointless act because your doing a 16 hour flight for a reason to eb there the entire time right? But I'm talking about the times when your flying for your VA like United (the one that has that specific flight). Will this become a regular accurence (trend) do you guys think? Will the T7 be so nice that "long Hauls" will be a new trend in the flight sim community? So basically what I'm asking is how big of an impact will this long haul type aircraft hav…

I am really glad to see tha Pmdg is still going at it and getting new aircraft out. The 777 thats in progress will be great since with the high quality detail, plus many other companys may make it but PMDG really gets medal for the aircraft they make. I wanted to ask will the new 777 have a better rnav or vnav on it?
