I asked this ages ago, waaaaaay, before the BETA started, but it remained mostly unanswered. Can anyone from the BETA team tell us if the T7 comes with a performance manager akin to that of the NGX? (Y`know the utility that lowered the texture quality of the flight deck). Cheers

Hate to nitpick but are the chocking procedures also Boeing recommended? I am a ramp worker and the way I see the 777 chocked in the screen shots are a definite no no. Main gear chocks are to never go between the wheels on a bogie. It should be the front and back of the bogie. The reason is that the chock needs to be in a position that is can be removed without difficulty. Trust me, when a 777 rolls back on the chocks, it is troublesome to pry it loose.

Will this bird be accessible to all? I mean like I wouldn't have to be able to recite the entire manual off the top of my head to do a flight? I'm not expecting it to be a walk in the park I know but I hope it will not be for hardcore professionals only?

I understand that a warning for high fuel temperature can be triggered by certain system malfunctions like an overload/overheat of the IDG (not sure for the T7, though). From curiosity, will the same warning be triggered due to the FSX/wx engine bug of occasionally producing high temperatures at high altitudes? (Yes, I can confirm: This is a weird question.) B)

folks, can any of the beta testers confirm that the T7 still uses failures based on wear and tear like the NGX? If yes, same engine or was something enhanced? thanks

Can any beta testers either not currently, or currently using EZCA comment on whether it is a purchase that would be of great benefit while flying in the 777? I wouldn't be using it for any ground or shake effects but mostly for camera positioning. I've never needed those features in the NGX but I have a feeling this add-on will be needed in the 777. Care to comment?

In the screen shots below from the thread for Amalgamated 777 BETA Images, to get the FMC to pop up shown in screenshot, is there click spots for this or was a software like EZDOK used? If EZDOK was used, is it easy to configure it to popup the FMC, Pedistal, and Overhead? Thanks

Hey Devs/Testers, I am more of a 74'/737NG guru so the T7 has me stumped on a few things. I am reading through the Honeywell FMS manual (for Block Point 15), in particular about holding patterns. In the 737, I know the FMC will calculate what entry is required (Direct, Parallel, Teardrop [Or Sector1, 2, 3 for those of you who use that terminology]), however in the NG it will not display the actual entry procedure into the hold on the ND. So my question regarding the T7, is the entry procedure shown on the ND? According to the manual; When the map range is 80 NM or less and the holding entry segment is the active leg or the next active leg, the holding patt…

Hi. Couple of years ago I watched a pilos eye DVD...it was DVD back then . This featured the Austrian 777 from Vienna to Tokyo. During approach into Narita Intl. the following was shown: Now these look like FIX rings, but they are white and cyan, not green. Also if I recalled correctly they seemed to be dynamic in size, like if their size was a dependant on airspeed/altitude maybe?...just guessing. I had his screenshot laying around for more than 4 years, so hopefully some 777 nut (there are quite a few of you here!) will know what this is. Best regards Nick F

Hi all I'm really excited at the prospect of flying the 777 especially using the time compression feature. Does the FMC allow import of native FSX flight plans or plans produced by other programs like Ideal flight which I use a lot? Thanks to all the beta testers who have posted here. Jay

I saw on one of the screen shots from the pinned photo thread that a neat "Cabin Ready" annunciation was displayed on the EFIS panel. I was wondering how one "interacts" with the "cabin crew". Is it something through the FMS or what exactly in the approach phase prompts that message to appear? does it allso display prior to takeoff? Thanks!

Hi guys, this is my second post about a 777 sound. The 777 is by far my favorite plane when it comes to sounds, including the engines, hydraulics, and all that good stuff. I'm sure many of you have been in a 777 landing, and I can't help but notice how unique the touchdown sound is. I think this is mostly due to the fact that it has 3 rows of landing gear, because on every 777 landing, I always hear a "thunk thunk thunk," right on touchdown. It is a little hard to explain, but I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about. Here is one of the MANY examples (can be heard on nearly every landing), and it has such a unique and neat sound. I think it may be one of tho…

I was wondering if the lights on the 777X behave like in the real world where it takes about half a second to be at full brightness or if they are just on or off like in the NGX. I hope I've explained that well enough! Thanks!

Hi, i wrote this question already in another thread, but i think this topic gets more and more important. FPS seem to be not the main concern with the PCs getting more and more powerful. However, the VS 4GB limit of the 32bit application FSX is a hard limit and therefore a real rpoblem when using a combination of high end payware addons, as maybe 95% of the simmers use nowadays. Of course, you have always to balance performance and visual - but who really wants to fly a vanila FSX today? So my question is fairly easy - what ist the VAS of the 777 in comparison to the NGX (i guess the 737 took about 700mb). Did any Beta-Tester experienced any OOMs . if so when,…

Greetings Everyone, I have been very much enjoying all of the BETA photos and videos with thanks to the team. In the midst of all of this I have curiously noticed a difference in the standby instruments between a couple of the videos that have been posted. 1. This one with the "older separated" 200/300/200ER layout - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4wpI_xwfkI&feature=youtu.be 2. This one with the "newer" ISFD 200ER/LR/300ER layout - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67Rtsz5wQrs Are there actually LR's out there with the "older separated" layout? If so, is this a function that is similar to the NGX in the sense that one can change from one layout to the …
