Hi, Do y'all think it might be possible to put in a "skip to waypoint" feature in the 777? Some kind of menu in the CDU that let's you skip to a waypoint would be very helpful for long flights. Thanks.

I think it's JAL (or ANA) that has the star pop band on its 777s called Arashi. Any paints of this planned for the PMDG?

It has almost been one year since PMDG announced the PMDG 777. It was on the 26th of July last year when they let the previews begin. Maybe PMDG has something up their sleeve... Just saying. Stay patient my fellow 777 waiters! Dakota Lowry

Just landed after a very successful early morning test flight from my home airport KPHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor, Arizona to KDFW - Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. (FSDT scenery, REX Essential+ OD sky) This is not meant to be anything other than some cool screens of the airplane and an attempt to show you guys what I'm doing in testing - behave yourselves please.

PSYCHE! I was wondering if anybody from the team could comment on whether anybody was stupid enough to actually follow through on a credit card payment for the sum of money you ask for at this time for the 777 on your website? There has to be at least ONE person in the deep deep black who tried.

Hey guys, I just had a quick question that I'm sure many of you know the answer to. On any 777 landing you've been on or have seen on youtube, it is easy to tell that at around 30 feet AGL, there is a hydraulic hum that sounds similar to the flap extention and retraction noise. I read that this process is the sound of certain hydraulic pumps activating at exactly 30 feet above the runway. Can anyone confirm this? I was also wondering if this sound can be heard from up front in the cockpit, because it sure would be a nice little touch to hear while landing the PMDG 777, but I know that whatever it sounds like in the cockpit in real life will be correctly simulated in the…

... going for $165,000,000.00! I think it's close now. I remember with the NGX it was only a few weeks till release once the product appeared on the ecommerce page. http://www.precisionmanuals.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=99&idcategory=15

I was just watching the JustPlanes Air Canada 777-200LR CYYZ-CYVR-YSSY DVD and in the first leg (starting around 8:30 in the video) they are setting the takeoff speeds. The EFB shows V1=154, Vr=154, V2=156. They enter Vr as 155 in the CDU and FO Steve T. says "We'll change our Vr to a different speed; it can't think in the same speeds". Can anyone explain that? And is it the same in the 777 and 737? I don't recall having any issues if the speeds were the same in the NG. Somewhere in the past 18 months I picked up the habit of changing them if they were the same but I don't remember why. I couldn't find any mention of it in the 737 FCOM v2 or FCTM.

I mean I know July, Aug or Sep are expected dates for the 777-200LR to be released. Does anyone remember how long it took PMDG to get the 600/700 NGX out after the NGX was released? I'm looking forward to the 777-300ER but I suppose I will have to buy the 777-200LR as it will be the base version right? I'm also wondering is it going to be a huge demand on PC resources, more than the NGX? I love the NGX... Just I don't want to be expected reasonable FPS when I get it and it turns out to be slow. Anyhow I was enjoying the NGX the other night. What a brilliant product! I hate going to ask "when is it ready?" So I am not. I am only asking for fellow fans to give me th…

Gentlemen it's been a while. Hope you're all doing well! I wanted to ask a few questions I had myself but also provide a topic with all the small miscellaneous thread [i.e. not release date, and is the 777 going to be made for Fs9?] that can hopefully be achieved in one place, rather than hundreds of topics being made. If I can, I will add your question to this original post with the answer if possible. My questions to the PMDG team/masses. 1) Anti Ice The 777 has an auto-anti ice system. I was wondering with the inconsistency in drawing icing conditions within FSX, is this going to be a feature? How are PMDG modeling it? 2) EFB Much has been discu…

Hi fellow PMDG lovers, The usual question (it was just a matter of time before someone asked this. Maybe it even already was asked in which case all my apologies) : considering the amazing quality of the 737NGX system and gauges depiction, and considering it will most probably be at least as good for the 777/747 v2, would it be possible to create a version WITHOUT a VC ? A version that could be partially run on a networked PC in order to get the most out of FS in terms of landscape graphics but leave the system/gauges rendering to another PC (a la SimA/PM) ? I am no software developper so I have no idea how difficult it would be, what it would take, how differ…

Listening to news coverage, a B777 pilot said that the "triple 7" has no structural crosswind limit and can land in a 50 knot crosswind. Is this true? Can't wait to try. Eric W

I've noticed that the T7-200 in production has GE90s. But I was wondering for folks like me who want to fly this beauty in American Airlines paint. But I realized that they use RR engines don't they? Will there be a RR engine variant, or perhaps a PW in the future/ expansion?

Hello Everyone While we wait for PMDG's 777, I thought I might share an interesting documentary. This documentary covers the development phase of the 777 from project inception to the inaugural flight with United Airlines. It is one of the most detailed and accurate aviation or for the matter of fact engineering documentaries I have ever seen with 5 hours worth of content! Yes. This is a VERY long documentary and I highly recommend it be watched over a couple of days.(unless you have lots of spare time) This film is out of print, but lucky for us someone on YouTube has uploaded it. They really didn't do a good job organizing it so I have put the parts …
