For all you new posters out there who want to find some information about the PMDG 777X Base package! -It will not have an EFB -It will not have a 2D Cockpit- -It will not have a Weather radar ( WX Radar) -It will not have a taxi cam -It will have RAAS included. Hopefully this will clear a lot of stuff up, and answer the many questions that are asked daily on these forums. Note to the Moderators and PMDG Staff: This thread is not intended to be mean, or angry hate to those who post these repeating questions. It is merely a thread which explains the FAQs. If this was the wrong thing to do, please lock/Delete this thread and notify me! I apolog…

With all the hype over the 777, I couldn't help but wonder: how does it feel for the developer to export the plane to the simulator for the first time? At what stage in development is it done? And what really makes you guys feel that's it's finally done, like ready to be sold? Thanks for the time and attention and for the answers! Eduardo Rubini

A few people asked for screenshots earlier while I was watching the recording of Froogle's live stream from earlier. That got me thinking that, instead of screenshots, I'd do a video. In order to satisfy my promise to go over a few display items, it begins with some showing of the Aerologic 777F. After that, though, I really wanted to show everyone the flight deck powerup, which is really cool. From there, I just take it from KIAD-KORD on a normal (full, non-accelerated) flight, and during that time, run you through all of the company/sim options, most of the CDU pages, and a tour around the flight deck. I don't think I left too much unturned, and even managed to …

Right now i get about 30fps while on the ground and 40-50fps while in the air on mostly high or max settings. I am planning to get the 777 but i dont know how much fps i will get. If i lower my settings would it be possible for me to get 20 or higher fps with the pmdg 777? Here are my specs: -intel core i3 370m 2.4ghz -nvidia geforce gt 425m -4gb of ram -windows 7 home premium -500gb ddr drive I would be more than happy running the 777 with 20fps or more. Do you think it would be possible if i lower my settings? Thanks, Karlo

Just doing some pre-PMDG training on the 777CBT, this evening, particuarly on the ECL. Came across this NON-NORMAL checklist I present the PILOT/COPILOT DISAGREE CHECKLIST :He He: :He He: :Nerd: ...and before you ask, no it is not in the real aircraft's checklist database (In particular the BOEING datbase, however the airline could add it if they wanted to their own db ).

Hi...I'm wondering if the 777 features this in real life as the 737 is the only aircraft that I know has this. Next to the Seat Belt switch on the overhead panel, there is the attend button which has a ding-dong tone, different from the regular fasten seat belt chime. I have not seen any other addon feature this, but have heard it in real life. So I was wondering is the PMDG 777 will have this (or the real one for that matter) switch that tells the flight attendants to sit down for departure, arrival, or turbulence... thanks and happy 777th post haha

Captains! One of my favourite things about getting to grips with the PMDG 777 is not just that you learn how to operate a new machine in the ‘day-to-day’ sense, but that there are wonderfully complex systems beneath the surface, designed for those ‘one-in-a-million’ events most of us will never encounter. I’ve fast learned that the 777 handles uneventful flights, well, uneventfully. Don’t get me wrong, this plane is an absolute joy to operate, from start to finish, but those of you who have cut their teeth on the NGX will find yourselves surprised at how many processes and actions the 777 actually does for you “behind the scenes”. I still find myself looking up at th…

Was doing a test flight this morning after seeing someone requested a preview of the KLM livery - so I decided to do the flight in that livery and take some shots. For all my Dutch friends B) ^_^ Flap that rudder around skip... Going for one of those cool underneath shots - however only the devs can seem to pull that one off.. Gear down, flaps 20 & landing checklist please... Idle reverse to keep those outside from moaning...

Good evening everyone (or afternoon, depending on where you are) at first: sorry for adding one more topic to this big 777 forum but I have no clue where else to ask this. So my question: Where can we expect the 777 to be available and how long after the initial release? What I mean is something like: Maybe 24h after release in PMDG's webshop it will be available on amazon and just flight for download. I ask because I still have some amazon gift vouchers and just flight loyalty points and it would be nice if I could use one of these to purchase the 777. It would be worth waiting if the time frame between release in the PMDG webshop and release on amazon …

This is a little late, as I said I was going to have it up by Friday, but being the weekend before my birthday I was kept busy. I actually recorded one on Friday and thought it sucked, so I scrapped it. This one's a lot shorter. If you have requests for a future video, leave it here and depending on what they are, I might be able to throw something together. Enjoy!

I am not too familiar with the 777, and as such have been using this site: http://www.meriweather.com/flightdeck/777/over-777.html, to familiarize myself before release. I can't seem to find the attend button to call the FA's like on the 737, though. Also, I can't seem to locate a button for the EGPWS self-test. Where exactly are these located on the 777, if it even has them at all?

Watching Kyle's latest video he spent some time talking about the COMMs page and about how it's basically inactive due to there not being one standard for text communication in the FSX world. He mentioned Hoppie's ACARS client, which I've used in PS1 in the past and have played around a little bit with TOPCAT. It would be awesome to integrate this with the 777. So, I know things are still in a pre-release stage, but does anyone from PMDG know if the SDK will include access to the COMMs page? I'd be interested in writing a shim between this and Hoppie's client if there's access to it.

I know the NGX and upcoming 777 have the option to pause at Top of decent however what about when a failure occurs? I don't generally fly with failures on but with the superb looking checklists I think it would be interesting to see how well I could follow these checklists and react to the problem. My only problem is that when I get a chance to fly I cannot guarantee I am going to be able to sit at the PC for the entire flight even with the new accelerated time feature, so would it not be an idea to have the sim pause at a failure so as you don't miss it and come to a monitor saying you have crashed?
