PMDG 777

Hi all, I am posting here since my question is specifically for the PMDG 777 and FSX only. All my simming has been done on desktop PC's and I know nothing about about laptops!! My old man turns 65 and ends his career on the 777 next summer, whilst he does know a bit about desktop flight sims he has always held the thought that it is a bit of a toy So! As part of his retirement present I would like to purchase a laptop, load it with the PMDG 777 and perhaps version 2 of the 744 at some point. I can't see him sitting there with a yoke and pedals flying, so the setup will really be for him to have the aircraft parked up somewhere while he can click away r…

Hi All, I'm just wondering if any of you know of short 777 connecting flights in Australia. I'm not a fan of long-haul and am looking for some realistic short routes to fly in Australia with this aircraft. I've flown Philippine Airlines' A340 from MEL to SYD on my way to Manila, so am looking for similar such routes. Thanks very much for your help! James

Release date Next 7 Days. According to the Air Daily X Billboard and this was posted on the 28th. So if my math is correct... carry the 4.... divided by 3... Yeah, it will be released by this time next week. Has to be so! AirDailyX Billboard says so! Hi! So the 777 will most likely be released next week around wednesday. That is the day that my wife, my daughter and I are going to our parents for a few days. My dad brought me to flightsim and he has made a home cockpit. So....if I buy the 777 next week, can I install that on my fathers computer and when we leave deinstall and reinstall at my home? I seriously don´t know if I can wait all those days with the aircraft at my fingertips without trying to test it. Will there be problems, when I activate the product at home after installing at my dad´s pc?

The title says it all. With the closure of the release date and the stickie of release week can we take as a hint? I think release is very, very close now.

So are imported flight plans with SID/STAR still broken as they are with the NGX or did this issue get fixed with the T7? It looks like they both use the same navdata and flight plan format. I know I can add it by hand etc but sometimes the results don't match and it can be a hassle to have to edit the same FP 3 times in 3 different programs. I run several addons so the FP must match between them all or things get crazy at the last minute.

No, not how long until release! Robert or Ryan, can you tell me how long ago work began on the 777? When did the first work commence on developing it, even if it was meeting Boeing people and not coding work? Just curious. Can you share this with us?

Hi Guys useless i tell you i am really excited to wait for this other masterpiece PMDG branded. I love this plane and i understood that the expansion pack will be the 777-300 ER. At this point i would like to ask what are the main differencies between the two planes? I am not interested in differencies like Camera for taxi. I talk of systems. Performances and so on. Thanks

Here is a really in-depth 6 episode documentary made by Channel 4 in London on the Making and Testing of the B777. Its good enough to keep the blood pumping and the excitement going as we wait for release day! :lol: If anyone else has any links to memorable or epic videos (about the 777) to watch as we wait for release go ahead and post it on here so we all have something to run to in those desperate times during the day when we start thinking about the PMDG 777! Hello, I know it's probably been asked before, but is there gonna be a 2D cockpit on the 777.? I know most of you simmers will probably not want it, and I do agree the VC on the 777 look immensely good.! But for me, when using the 2D cockpit I get better frames. Thanks Nathan Green

Hi A question for the Beta Team. Can the warning messages on the EICAS be changed from yellow to orange? The reason being I travelled on BA's 777 reg G-VIIO this week and when I looked in the cockpit that's how the EICAS messages were displayed. I have seen on the forum that there are options to change colours of items in the cockpit and hope this is also an option.

I've been flying the NGX a little too much, to the point where I haven't used it in a week. *Gasp!* The upcoming release of the T7 has kept me from flying anything. Ever since the first time I compared a NG to a T7 I always felt that the T7 was just a big NG, with less pilot input due to having everything automated. So my question is, how exactly is the T7 that different from the NGX, systems wise. They have the same displays, seems like the eicas is the only difference. Of course I'm getting the T7 regardless, but I just don't know what exactly people such as the beta testers mean when the T7 is "waaayyyy different" Besides the size and flight chars. Thanks …
