HI Guys! This question is for beta tester or whoever can answe and i am sure only beta tester can . This is maybe a really stupid question but since i am getting bored i ask for it. In some or many FSX plane if u load the plane over the MTOW at the VR it lifts up easily like the weight of the plane is within the parameters. I would like to know if possible if i load the 777 over its MTOW can i lift it up easily or i can have problems of rotation? Same is for the V speed. In case i abort before the V1 does the p,lane stop before the end of runway? and the opposite is if i try to abort the flight after V1 do i overshoot the runway? Of course u can say depen…

HI guys Just a quick question regarding PMDG's plans on how to release the 777. Once the 777 is ready for release, will it suddenly appear for sale on the PMDG website with a post in this forum saying so, or will there be some warning in the form of a new post by RSR to inform us it will be available for purchase at this time on this date?

Hi. Similar to all others I am also waiting for T7. Can anyone from beta testers come with above requested procedures? And also use of moving aileron towards crosswind and its compensating rudder deflection in opposite direction inorder to prevent S turn on runway. I mean how and when at what reference we have to start doing it? If I asked more then I'm really sorry and if it is already discussed and shown u can give me the link. Thank you.

A few people had some requests over the past weeks, so I decided to jump back in and make a video. I don't think it's as refined as some of the others, but it addresses the requests. Note: Due to the nature of the flight, and the messing with the systems I did prior to recording, the plane didn't behave as it normally would. This is okay, I promise. Don't freak out. Yes, I know the RTO didn't work on the last takeoff (mostly because of how I abused the plane and didn't properly clear all of the failures), and I know the VNAV descent was off and out of whack (again, mostly because of how I set the flight up in a rushed manner). This was recording n…

Gang, Capt Randazzo has kindly lifted the restrictions of those of us in the beta group to share our views of this wonderful aircraft with you! By his good grace, we have been allowed to discuss whatever we wish about the aircraft and be honest with our views. So none of us are writing paid infomercials here Yet, I say wonderful completely genuinely. From the moment you enter the virtual cockpit you will find yourself immersed like never before. At first glance you might be tempted to think that with the familiarity of gauges such as the PFD and ND, that this is just a very big NGX. You would be VERY wrong. The 777 complexity is in a whole different ballpark to t…

Hi all, On another plane (A320) you can setup the MCDU to display over a webpage so you can put it on your ipad. Will a similar feature be available for the checklists?

An interesting tidbit on the 300 APU to Pack Takeoff Before engine start, selecting APU from the FMC scratch pad to the SEL-APU field on the THRUST LIMIT PAGE arms the system for APU to pack takeoff. Approximately one minute after starting the second engine, the bleed air supply system configures for APU to pack takeoff. When APU is selected to the SEL-APU field after both engines are running but before takeoff, the bleed air supply immediately configures for APU to pack takeoff. In APU to pack takeoff configuration: • the left engine bleed valve is closed, • the L ENG OFF light is illuminated and remains illuminated, • the APU provides air to air deman…

Will PMDG give the rtow charts for 777? Or we will be using topcat for performance calculations. Auto vspeeds from FMC is not that realistic.

But I am a bit obsessed with it & plan to master it and know that thing better than any other aircraft. Just a random question of interest- is the 777 one of those new aircrafts that shows the airport chart taxiways on the middle screen as you taxi through the airport? I just saw a video of the A380 doing this, and I thought does the 777 do that? I know the 777 does do some interesting things.

Robert in his post earlier this week mentioned a "cruise compression" feature for the 777. I don't think I had seen reference to this before. Is much known about this feature? How does it work? How is it different from simply a X4 FSX setting? Anyone in the beta or development team used it and wish to comment on it? Thanks, Doug (A pilot with little time to cruise... )

We decided to do things a bit differently this time and open up a 777 specific forum ahead of the release instead of just before it as we have in the past. It felt like the General forum was getting a bit cluttered with all these 777 threads, so this is the place to put 777 related threads from now on. Just to nip this in the bud and make it completely clear: the opening of this forum is *not* an indication that release is imminent! I've moved over all the 777 threads I could find from the General forum into this one.

Hi, having watched some of the beta videos there is one tiny thing I've noticed: the number 6 on the MCP is not the same that can be seen on RW photos or videos. Could it be software version related or even customer option? See http://www.airliners.net/photo/Malaysia-Airlines/Boeing-777-2H6-ER/0278843/ for example. I hope you guys won't consider this as rivet counting Regards, Robert

I've been flying the NGX a little too much, to the point where I haven't used it in a week. *Gasp!* The upcoming release of the T7 has kept me from flying anything. Ever since the first time I compared a NG to a T7 I always felt that the T7 was just a big NG, with less pilot input due to having everything automated. So my question is, how exactly is the T7 that different from the NGX, systems wise. They have the same displays, seems like the eicas is the only difference. Of course I'm getting the T7 regardless, but I just don't know what exactly people such as the beta testers mean when the T7 is "waaayyyy different" Besides the size and flight chars. Thanks …
