Hi I have been trouble shooting the three problems listed below that I have had since installing the 777. 1. Test equipment appearing when not chosen as an option in the FMC. 2. Ground equipment not appearing 2. Unable to align 737NGX IRS (not typing error) Last night I did a system restore back to the point just before I installed the 777. This fixed problem 3. I then reinstalled the 777 and problem 1 and 2 were fixed. Tonight I decided to do a flight with the 777. I loaded the 777 and everything was fine. I selected the short turn around state and again everything was fine. I connected ground power and turned of the APU and saved that state. On looking outs…

I am having an issue with the upper ICAS. I loose the out flow valve indicators, diff press, duct press and landing alt info at the bottom of the LCD. When The plane powers up, its there, and sometimes stays longer than other times. There was only one flight that these items stayed the entire flight. When they do disappear, they will only come back when I select the Air condition page. Anyone having this problem? regards Doug

Hi guys a few of approach and landing into OMDB - the 777 is a fab plane and those REX clouds add to the experience... I wish everyones 777 was working as well as mine....hope you all get your issues solved.

Anyone out there know how to program the FMS to carry out an enroute offset? eg: Bad Weather avoidance. Could do it on the NGX, but haven't been able to work it out on the new bird. Rgds, Steve

Fellow T7 Drivers, Was doing a quick lighting test the other day (FSX set to dusk) and I noticed that I couldn't see any illumination from the Chart/Worktable lights? I don't think it was a master brightness issue as the Map light was illuminating the CA and FO seats respectively as expected. I was expecting the Chart light to illuminate the little clip board on the window sill ala the NGX? Has anyone else seen this? Am I overlooking something? Cheers

Hi All I hear all these wonderful and glowing reports of how well the 77 is. Well it certainly isn't for me. Let me preface this by saying I currently have the J41 and NGX all working fine on my computer which is still a pretty decent set up and had the PMDG B744 and 737 in FS9 - so I am by no means a PMDG hater. I have an Australian ATPL and about 4000 hours and currently flying Emb 120. I have a reasonable grip on the concepts involved although happy to admit no direct experience on the B777 although the B767 was used as the study aircraft when I got my ATPL. I have read the manuals, FCTM etc yet encountered a few very annoying issues (read bugs mentioned in other…

So flying around with the 777, and so far the things I've had trouble with are all with the MCP. Aren't the buttons supposed to be on/off? I'm not at all able to disconnect things as A/P, LNAV, VNAV, HOLD buttons etc. For instance, pressing Z to disconnect the A/P does nothing. The button is physically pressed, but nothing happens. The only way is to right click the hot spot beside the A/T button. Obviously that's not how it's supposed to be. Any ideas?

Hello, what is the correct entry or format for the TAI ON ALT in Descent Forecast page of the FMC? When I enter FL150 or 15000 I get an "Invalid Entry"...

I was in a flight today from LEMD to KBOS at FL360. I had step size set to 4000 feet (I think this is realistic?). Anyway, the FMC showed me a step climb point and as soon as I reached it I turned the altitide up to FL400 and thn got an FMC message saying "MAX ALT FL392". I am surprised that looking at the first pages of this forum the majority of the topics are related to what are supposed to be inherent flaws of the product...I say "supposed" because I do not dispute that some people may have really found bugs that have been missed during the pre-release testing of the aircraft, but I suspect many of those "flaws" come from people not having read the manual or having their hardware/software system not properly tuned. In real life and if I recall on some of the beta shots, alternate airports beyond the set range of the ND were displayed with an arrow showing which direction they were off the screen. Anyone know if this is modelled and if so, how to display it. Many thanks.

I see this "Pilot Response" come on screen sometimes in long cruises and I believe my action is to press the warning button (or a FMC button works too). Is this like the safety feature in modern trains? To keep the attention of the pilot from sleeping? I did not know this feature was in any aircraft! It is another interesting and amazing feature created by PMDG. Just out of interest though - in case I need to leave the PC - can this be turned off? I did not see it in the FMC settings, by maybe I missed it? Maybe it has a different name in settings? Thanks Shomei Yokouchi

Now don't laugh, but but my T7 seems to be suffering from flatulence... :mellow: Is anyone else suffering from this issue? About every 20 minutes my T7 makes this sounds that can only be described as flatulent... :mellow: I'm not sure what causes it, I've noticed it 4 times now at this stage, sitting in the VC. I've tried switching views to external then back to VC and that seems to reset the timer, so I'm thinking it might be a looped sound thing? :huh: This is the first time I've noticed it and I'm on my 3 flight with the T7, so I'll see later if reloading FSX stops the issue as I'm pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday. Hi guys, Do you have an issue when selecting a runway on the DEP/ARR page that the FMS says there's an error with the ILS frequency? I have tried 2 different airport, same error. The NAV RAD page doesn't display the correct ILS frequency for the runway. It just displays a 108.00 frequency so I have to manually enter it. Usually in this bird that should be automatic right? Is it a limitation or a Navdata limitation? Regards, Teo

First i often flew in PMDG MD-11 and it was great experience too So, when i configure a FMC i can't get info about my PER INIT REQUEST when i click over. It's the same on the TAKE OFF REQUEST page.This appear in grey and i can't get information about requests... What i forget ? Step first i go to Fs menu take a fuel and second in perf init page to configure the fuel and other parameters Step 2 i go to enter my destination fly number SID/STAR etc... and writing my route in the FMC; Step 3 i come back to perf init, trust limit and take off to get my VS speed …

Hello, I am sending this message because I purchased the FSX 777-200 package last night (September 5, 2013) and I am experiencing pauses between 20-30 seconds each, every few minutes and it has been happening in every single flight that I have done and it's driving me crazy. I am not sure how to fix the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I tried flying other planes (PMDG 747-400X and the model extension PMDG 747-8i/F) and no problems flying those planes. My system is a Hellfire GTX from Jetline Systems with Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core i7 quad core, Nvidia GeForce GTX770. Thank you Kind regards, llavi01

I might have missed something here but I can "popup" the rspective dispplays (PFD, ND, eicas...) but I cannot drag them (to other monitor). Although the comm panel I can...am I missing here something? or are they just fixed to on spot ? Please advice

I was around 5 hour into the flight when I decided to mess with the plane a bit using manuals and see what things do what. So I got into the FMC and at one point I encountered the "License" option inside the "PMDG Options" menu. I saw two options there that I wasn't familiar with from the NGX. "ACTIVATION CODES" and "UNREGISTER PRODUCT". Just out of curiosity I wanted to see if the plane could display my activation code on the FMC screen. So I clicked the LSK next to it and suddenly FSX hang, nothing worked, nothing was clickable, could not do a single thing. I had to CTRL+ALT+DELETE …

Hi everybody, I've noticed that when I load up my PMDG 777 in FSX at night, all the Traffic 360 ai aircraft night lighting at the gate (tail logo and cabin lights) goes off. When I press "L" on the keyboard and I maintain it the AI lights starts blinking. I've tested with other aircrafts and they work well. So should come from the PMDG 777. If you can help me would be really nice Thanks Cheers
