PMDG 777

Hi all can anyone explain to me why I am unable to update the T777 operations centre? it checks for updates and say's there is one and downloads it but I get an error saying the operations centre update exe can not be found any ideas? Cheers Rod.

Dear captains, I haven't been flying the bird much, but from the few times I've taken her up, I found something that either I missed it in the FCOMs or the Introduction document, or I just don't know where to look. Basically 4 things In the ND, when I switch to PLAN mode, is it normal to see an "A" (with a circle, assuming denoting aerodromes) consistently ~~ As in it is not possible to turn it off like in MAP mode? In the CDU "MENU", just about PMDG Setup and FS Actions, I see a couple of options for EFIS CTL and DSP CTL. I had a look at the Introduction document for what they are, but can't seemed to find it. Cannot get my throttles to advance, Every time I try it advances and then returns to idle right away. As a result i cannot move the aircraft. Is this a FSUIPC issue or something else. In the introductory doc is sais I may need to delete the fsuipc.ini file but cant find it. In the NGX I can advance the throttle.

So I was climbing out of Newark today in the UAL liver and once the cockpit was illuminated with the green glow , the front part of both my wings went see though , the flaps did not. Maybe it was a bad livery install, has this happened to anyone else ??

Out of interest, is it possible to buy the PMDG 777 in GBP as a currency option at download? Or would it be better to wait until Aerosoft get it and sell it in GBP? Thanks Alex Jones

Hello, I have encountered a problem where when I spawn up at UK2000 Gatwick in my PMDG 777 that within 2-10 minutes my joystick will have completely cutout and will have no input what so ever. But I can spawn up anywhere else in the world with lots of different scenery developers and at other uk2000 airports and I wont get this problem, it only seems to be gatwick... Any ideas? Running windows 8 64bit

Howdy Folks. I have to say that this 777 is a work of art. She handles beautifully. After reading a great deal for two days, I was able to get her lit up and up for a couple of circuits around FACT. Two things were observed during my first couple of tries landing on runway 18. One, when disconnecting the A/P, the darn warning does not shut up. It does not matter how many times I press the A/P button. The only way to get it to shut up is by turning the A/P back on. Second issue - after capturing the ILS for runway 18, the aircraft followed the glideslope well but for some reason it tracked left of the runway rather than centered. I will continue testing at other…

hey can somebody help me with starting of the engines on t7? is there a tutorial or you guys can tell me what to do? thanks. cause everytime i land and park i turn off the engines but dont know how to turn it back on.

I want to thank PMDG for their excellent T7, it works like dream on my low end system,and from what I gather from the posts in the forum, the guys with super computers were trying to sort out issues,and they guys with low end systems are seeming not have problem at all! KUDOS! The other T7 was very unstable and practically not usable on my system,even with the V/C tweak,but this baby right off the back worked like a charm! Thank you guys for looking out for the little guy!

Hi all, I may have missed this, but I'd really to know if (and possibly to what extent) crew communications are modeled on the B777. I just finished watching the JustPlanes Air Canada Polar Route and on final approach into VHHH, you could hear a characteristic 'ding' sound in the cockpit which was the flight attendant reporting the cabin in ready for landing condition. Is that simulated? On the DA Fokker 70/100 I really liked how you could tell the cabin to prepare for T/O and LDG and 'they' (well, the simulation) would, hopefully in time, report back to you. Hi it's not a issue but would like to reduce the sensitivity down on the brake trigger as when I press the button on either keyboard or joystick it stops very quickly. Is there a way to slow this down so it not as aggressive

Hello, I searched around the forum but was unable to find a similar issue. When I load up the cold and dark panel state from the FMC the system initialization starts up, the displays go off, battery, apu master is all off etc. However almost every other switch is left in the on position. I tried a re-install but the same problem still occurs. Any thoughts on the issue? Thank you in advance. Kind Regards, Michael Schwartz

Hi. Loving the T7. Everything is good with AS2012 but ASX don't have the textual briefing like AS2012. It is rather given as ATIS information at each and every waypoint similar to departure and destination airports. What to do? Finally does T7 wx import only functions for AS2012 or for all Active sky models? Thank you.

hi folks after shutdown prosedure i trired to set the brightness of the pfd and nd to dark before powering off the aircraft but nothing happened, i dont know if its me, there is some settings for it or the pmdg didnt incl. it ? here is a SS with the brightnes knob at lowest setting with the panel still light up.

Hey guys, I have one more question. When I'm flying, if I go about other things while it's cruising, and the pilot responses get to the warning level, when I try and do something or push the caution button, the alarms stop and it's gone from the EICAS, but the caution light stays illuminated. I know it's a little thing, but it's bugging me. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hi I have just tried to do the Tutorial again but can't find the 'Default Panel' state (engines running) in the CDU. I checked in the Panel State folder and I must have inadvertently deleted it somehow - strange !! I know I could start the engines and resave it, but would like the original file as saved by PMDG. Would somebody mind PM'ing me and send me a copy of this panel state file please. Thanks

Hey guys, I was just testing out the long ranges on this bird, and my route was taking me over Northern Alaska at this time, if it matters. When I got to this region, I got this symbol on the ND. I'll post a picture, it's on the top right, just to the left of the next waypoint and ETA of that waypoint. Does anyone know what it means? It's the part that says Grid 70 in the box.
