PMDG 777

    It happens quite often to me (~20% of all landings) that the autobrake disarms immediately at touchdown (without doing anything like manual breaking, retracting spoilers, etc). At first I had the "bouncing issue" that is described in the manual in mind, because - maybe - it would let the aircraft shortly being airborne again for a split second so that the autobrake would disarm. But no, I changed the mesh as recommended and it happens anyway. I also remember that users reported that for the NGX - does anybody still remember what was the solution for that?

    Hi Guys! I Installed just now the 777 amd then i made a go around and all ok! then i quitted the Sim and opened the operation manager and told me there were an update and i downaded and updated it but actuall i received an error like the programm has stopped working. Anyway anytime i launch it i have this error an this programm never open. Any idea? Thanks

    In real life and if I recall on some of the beta shots of this bird alternate airports beyond the set range of the ND were displayed with an arrow showing which direction they were off the screen. Anyone know if this is modelled and if so, how to display it. Many thanks.

    Firstly, I've tried searching the FCOM vol. 2's autopilot section to find an answer to this, but haven't been able to find anything really. I was in the descent (approach technically - BUBIN 6A into OMDB) and was perfectly on the descent path and LNAV. I reached GIRMI where there's a 230 knot speed restriction, so we slowed from ~260 knots down to 230 knots all perfectly planned for in the FMC. However, when we got down to 230 knots, I decided I wanted to go back to 250 knots as we still had quite a few track miles to go.     Hi, first of all I just wanna say congrats and good job on this fine product. As an avid flight simmer and real life 777 pilot, I thought it was pretty impossible to model the speed trim function on the 777 accurately and also the auto throttle function during landing whereby you leave it on all the way to touchdown. PMDG once again beat the odds. Well done on the Non Normal Checklist as well! Anyway, I experienced a few minor problems. 1- Innacurate STAR tracking at WMKK/KUL NIPAR3A rwy 32L arrival at position NIPAR.     First off, I would like to say I am very happy with the aircraft, but this issue is staring to irritate me. In level cruise flight with AP engaged and on course, the aircraft will start doing wild roll oscillations (almost reminds me of a dutch roll, except the airplane stays mostly coordinated and doesn't change altitude except as a result of the EXTREME bank angles), sometimes going up to and past 60 degrees of bank. It goes in both directions, and occasionally seems to correct, then rolls again!     I'm sitting at the gate following the tutorial and the memory jumps well over 4xxxmb (i have a system monitor gadget) and the FPS was 0.01! :huh: Beat that all you simmers....And it still did not crash...go figure!

  11. PMDG, first of all AWESOME job on this aircraft (the 777). Loving it! The 737NGX is my other favorite so you guys are the backbone of my fleet. I fly United a lot and am curious why your United fonts are off on all your repaints (they're too stretched out vs the real aircraft I see daily when I take my wife to work at KIAH)? I mean, you guys do everything to the nth degree, but this one tiny issue is glaring because of everything else being so perfect. Any chance of doing a livery update for the NGX's and 777 to correct?? Thanks! -Jim PS - Either way I still love your work!

    Whist at the gate I press control J to have a gate come to the PMDG 777 however the gate only comes a few meters from the entry 2 door, it comes nowhere near the door. Is there a fix for this? Thanks, Arun

    Hi, I noticed a bug with my 777, and it's now really complicated to fly this bird correctly. So let me explain to you the problem. During a normal flight when the plane is on movement. When I try to go to the fsx standard menu like the weather the map the time or when I press on echap or alt to hide the fsx flight screen. When I want to come back to my normal FSX screen with my pmdg 777 cockpit what I see is really strange. Sereval screen: Completly black Land or sky completly black Cockpit with cuts inside ( I see sole instruments and behing the ND or PFD the land texture....) When I start the aircraft in a cold and dark state, and follow the procedures for engine start, I get a caution warning light right after I flip the fuel cutoff state to the run position after starting engine number 1 (the second engine in the start sequence). It's always after the last engine starting that the warning light comes on, and it does not extinguish for the whole flight, even when I click the warning light button. Any ideas? Thank you. BTW fuel pumps are on and hydraulics are pressurized in the correct order.

    Hi Every time I install the PMDG 777 I am unable to align the INS in the PMDG 737. I have pasted below the only post in a thread that I just opened detailing the situation. "Hi I have been trouble shooting the three problems listed below that I have had since installing the 777. 1. Test equipment appearing when not chosen as an option in the FMC. 2. Ground equipment not appearing 2. Unable to align 737NGX IRS (not typing error) Last night I did a system restore back to the point just before I installed the 777. This fixed problem 3.   19. I was preparing my arrival at MMMZ with the 777F today and noticed something unexpected. I was reviewing the approach route on the Navigation Display in PLN mode. It was centered on a waypoint on LEGS page two, but whenever I entered either a speed or altitude restriction, I noticed that the ND would center on the first active waypoint. If I entered a restriction and then erased it, the ND would return to the waypoint I was originally looking at, but if I executed the change, the ND would stay centered on the first active waypoint. I wasn't able to find anything in the manuals regarding this issue. Any ideas?

    Just re-updated my Airac to 1309 for both PMDG and AivlaSoft's EFB, and approaching T/D into OMDB, I get a ILS/Freq error. FMC shows 113.70, EFB shows 110.1o both for Rwy12L, yet when I try to pre-select of change that 113.70 frequency, I get an Invalid Entry message. First time I've encountered that. Any ideas how to change that ILS frequency? Thanks

    Sorry, this is a really basic question, but I'm really struggling to see where I'm going wrong to simply disconnect the AP for a manual landing, and KEEP it disconnected;-). Doesn't seem to matter what I do, AP keeps REconnecting. That can really spoil your day on the IGS13 at Kai Tak (which imports perfectly in the 777 CDU) Thanks

    Fellow simmers, There are a few of us, myself included, that have unfortunately experienced poor system performance with this marvelous bird. After searching these forums for a while I picked up a few tips here and there that, put together, seemed to give me a significant improvement in frames per sec and general smoothness. I thought it might be helpful to share them. Please note that i am no expert at performance tweaking. I do not guarantee that these tweaks would work for everyone.
