PMDG 777

I was just curious what the consensus was about purchasing the PMDG 777 as a starter airliner for a GA VFR guy? I've toyed around with flying the big jets a little bit, but that's about the extent of it. I also have zero experience with IFR. I'm always up for a challenge, but don't want to get slammed. When THRUST LIM selet to CRZ mode,the Airspeed will decrease very slowly.Does any have this problem or it's just my problem??This issue happen a lot of time!!!I

Hi Can someone please help as I have just purchased the 777 and love it , absolutely amazing worth every penny. My question is I seem to be running the proper procedures so I think, my only issue is when I disconnect external power from fmc and overhead panel I lose complete power in vc now shouldn't the power be continues after the apu is on and external power disconnected?? Please help thanks!

Hi I'm running PMDG 777 and i have Saitek Pro Flight Yoke installed, flaps and spoiler work perfect on the quadrant but the throttle is not working on quadrant !!! on the Yoke when i increase some power the plane will not go on left or right !!! Could please some one help me ???? E.Wawoe

Hello Simmers, I bought the PMDG 777 a few days ago and now i have following problem : I activated the plane on a second Computer and after that my gauges are always turning after ca 5 mins of flight. Hey there, I was on my way over to Brazil with the PMDG 777,(maybe 20mins in flight) where I just got this error.... FSX just frezzed, and crashed... Does anybody know what this could be? Hi, trying to understand why RAAS in PMDG777 not working. I only have the RAAS that came with PMDG777. there is a RAASPro folder in my FSX program folder that presumably was installed with the PMDG777 and inside these folders is a dll.xml file which seems to contain code to load a RAAS module. I did a flight today with the 777 from KEWR to EBBR but I had a problem with the fuel. I calculated everything to have a 10000kg reserve and when I programmed the FMC on the ground everything was good. But as the flight progressed I noticed that the predicted amount of fuel was getting lower and lower. In short, I landed with only 4000kg left in the tanks, luckily I did not have to divert or go around. I did another flight(same route)to make sure that it was not some failure or something like that. I was checking the progress page in the FMC and turned around for a minute, only to come back and see that the FMCs where completely frozen? What caused this? IS this a know bug with the 777? Everything is still working, the plane still flight the route normally and everything appears to run normally. This is what I see.

I want to share this unusual default FSX ATC situation with you. I came across this scenario by chance while flying EIDW EVRA with default ATC and default AI Traffic. While on descend there was an AI NGX approaching to land. FSX ATC routed it ahead of me to land and ATC asked me to go around, screenshot: https://db.tt/lGW6mX9v IRL the controller should have said "772 heavy follow the NGX on finals, expect late landing clearance" rather than clearing 2 aircrafts to land at the same time. I have winds at 50 knots at my back, a very light airplane, and the autopilot is unable to climb at an acceptable rate, it keeps climbing at 100/200 fpm. I searched the issue tracking and did not find anything. edit, I don't know what happened but I pressed lnav/vnav buttons again and it went back to normal. Strange. David Frank

On a long haul flight today, I had a complete loss of keyboard functions for the PMDG 777. Regained by saving flight and restarting the sim. I am running PMDG 777, vPilot and ASN on the same PC. All functions of vPilot and ASN were still working correctly, including keyboard input. To save my flight I could still use the FSX P key to pause the sim for saving. So the problem appeared to be restricted to PMDG 777, rather than FSX. Any suggestions?

Maybe this has been brought up before. Can we maybe get the tiller to work using a key assignment?

I know that the 300ER is approximately 10.2 metres longer than the LR, that the max takeoff weight is 4,000 kg greater and the max landing weight is around 31,000kg more. The 300ER engines produce 514 kN of thrust whilst most 200LR engines are derated to 490 kN and a few to 512 kN. I therefore assume that on occasions the 300ER vref landing speeds will be greater. I presume that taxing the 300ER will be more difficult due to the increased length (that's why a taxi camera is provided) and that tail strikes are more likely. Hey Guys I know, I know, the 777 is not just an NGX on steroids, but please hear me out. I'm about to buy the 777 and have been looking forward to getting it for some time so am very excited! However for the next few months I'm not going to have the time to study manuals and learn everything there is to know about her. I'm lucky if I find just a few hours a week to actually fly. We all know FSX does not use hyperthreading. Thus when overclocking, to reduce heat, I have hyperthreading off in the BIOS. I was wondering if the more modern addons like the PMDG777 can use hyperthreading? Edit: it is after all running outside of FSX! In that case performance might be better with a slightly lower clock but hyperthreading on!

I'm running 64 bit windows 8.1 and just noticed that FSX with PMDG 777 is labelled as 32bit, is this normal or should I be looking for a 64 bit version?
