I just purchased the PMDG 777 today and sure enough when I loaded it on to fsx, it said: "Installation of licence library failed." and when I start the aircraft , the gear does not work and niether does anything in the Virtual Cookpit. Now before people tell me that ive pirated it, I just BOUGHT it today, and got my confirmation email too. So there should be know way, that could be an issue. Please help me out, ive been getting really frustrated trying to figure this out. Please if you know anything, please reply, I want to get to flying this great FSX addon! Now I've tried: 1. Restarting my computer 2. Deleting everything relating to PMDG on my computer …

I know this has been brought up in the past, but what is the latest status of being able to purchase the 777 manuals through the PMDG website? They have not been available for quiet some time now. Is there any kind of update on when they will be available again or are they not coming back at all? Thanks.

VERT PATH FULL appeared on the FMC scratchpad. The message could not be cleared and because of that no entries could be made into the FMC. The various pages could be accessed but no entries made. Speed and altitude calculated by the FMC disappeared from the legs pages. The hard coded altitude constraints from the ILS Approach and STAR remained on the legs pages. He is how this situation developed. Auto Step Climb was enabled. At FL390, an auto step climb to FL410 was begun by the plane. I received a message in the scratchpad saying SERVICE CELING 40800. The legs pages changed the altitude to FL410. The plan stopped at 40800. I descended to FL390 using V/S. I disabled the …

Hi all, Having seen now quite a few screenshots and YouTube vids about GSX, I'm still a little undecided if it's a worthwhile investment that really adds to the level of realism of the PMDG 777. If I compare it with AES though, GSX seems to be the (much) better deal with regard to FSX ground ops. What are your thoughts? Is GSX an essential add-on for the PMDG 777? Best regards, Paul

Recently I came across a document for the T7 and it gave this bit of info on CI Eastbound cost index: 300ER (70), 200LR (62), 200E R (76). Westbound: Fly on M 0.83 with a CI 62 you will have a good mach # of .83 your whole flt. Im trying to find a CI# for a .84M. Can anyone help me? I am also looking for a CI for a full flt set Mach# for .83, .835, .840, & .845, without putting in the FMC CRZ or MCP. Any Ideas on how to figure that out? Thanks for you help.

Hello, while skiping thru the Manual today I found something that caught my attention: Procedure Turns. Especially the symbology on the ND as described on 10.40.19 FCOM 2. Sooo...are they modeled? And if yes at what airport can I find them? Thanks in advance Frederik

For the second time in a roll, trying to set things up for a flight, just when I'm about to input the Cost Index, as I click the LSK for insertion of the value, FSX hangs - with the "closed hand" mouse icon all the way from there, I mean, FSX is just frozen, but not other applications. It's scary because I've never seen or read about this before, and today it just happened twice!

I'm newbie in the PMDG777 and during my first flight yesterday I noticed something cool, the aircraft does taxi on idle B). Maybe that's old news but I haven't checked this forum for months. Anyway, I also noticed that my brakes are not effective at all for some reason when I'm going at about 15kt I have to press on the brakes for almost 7-10 seconds in order for the aircraft to come to a complete stop. I know that if your aircraft is heavy maybe that would make sense but it was just for a quick test flight and I only had 15 tons of fuel. Any idea why that is happening? I later tried the PMDG 747 and the brakes were very responsive. I'm using saitek rudder pedal…

I'm flying EGLL to LGIR today, and had read a good idea to avoid OOM. By saving my flight after TOD and restarting FSX; thus resetting VAS. The problem is I lost my IRS so now I can't even leave the cockpit for a pee! The only add on in scenery checked is EGLL. my MBP & PC both suffer with long hauls. Any suggestions how to save the IRS aswell?

Hi, Do the T/C and T/D can be seen elsewhere than on the ND? My interest would be to get the estimated time of T/C and T/D that are not displayed on the ND.

Hi everyone, I recently installed the Aux tanks for the 777 and tackled a flight from my VA's home base in KORD direct to YSSY. The route I pulled from SimBrief is 9550nm and with a fairly good load of pax and cargo I completed the flight in just under 22 hours. Thoroughly enjoyable! Quite a remarkable aircraft this! Kind regards

Hi, I'm trying out the PMDG 777 I bought a few months ago, and I'm encountering a few problems with the route and TOGA, - ON takeoff, The T7 is not following the route and keeps going in circles or else in zig-zags, I followed many tutorials, to no avail. - On takeoff, when I press TOGA, it doesn't accelerate and I have to abort until it works. Hope to hear from someone soon, Jake Meilak

Hi all With limited free time, I am trying to do some short test flights on the fly, without going through too much of the manual. So here are my problems 1. If I load panel state SHORT, I can never get default ATC to work. ATC works however if I load panel state LONG. 2. If I load panel state LONG, I can never get the APU to start. I have GPU connected, fuel pumps on, press and hold APU to START and it clicks back to ON after 2 seconds, but I never get the message APU running. (APU gen is on). A fault message appears for a fraction of a second just under the Start switch, I checked FMC and can not see any faults. The APU works if I start with engines run…

I did have several pauses during my first B777 flights (ranges from 3 to 11 seconds) and couple of FSX CTD with no error message (well I would call them force closed  ), any way I did try several things to solve the problem till I reached one point when I removed Realtek Audio Driver from my system and used Windows default ones and so far no pauses nor any CTD (I have done more than 6 flights so far), used to have problems every other flight at least. I hope this might help others to explore more on the issue.

I have a little problem in my 777, the engines flameout regularly for no known reason. It doesn't matter whether I'm taxiing to runway or at 30,000 feet. I have begun to leave my apu on so I can start them up again but it is very annoying. I have no master or caution warnings , packs are working, plenty of fuel. Running with active sky next and pfe deluxe. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a suggestion for PMDG concerning the B777 Introduction Manual. This manual contains a huge amount of interesting and useful information. However, finding a specific piece of information is difficult due to the lack of a Table of Content. Presuming that the original version of this document is written in MS Word, it would be a cinch to use a Heading Style for all the headings in the document, and then create a clickable Table of Content from these styles. Then when you create the PDF version of the document, make sure the clickable feature is carried over onto the PDF version. This would make life much easier for the users, namely your …
