    Howdy All When climbing in FLCH or VS/FPA (or in VNAV with speed intervention selected) at an IAS, the speed window (and the selected value on the PFD) should change to MACH as the IAS reaches the equivalent of M.84 - this doesn't seem to be happening. FCOM 4.10.05/06 refers: Instead, what I'm seeing is: - Ops normal FLCH SPD climb at 320 KIAS until the equivalent Mach reaches about .835 - Suddenly the IAS jumps 6 knots or so (to 326 IAS); the equivalent Mach jumps to .851; the selected IAS remains 320. - Then the speed windows changes across to M.84 (as well as selected magenta speed on the PFD) - Aircraft pitches to reduce speed back to selected …

  3. I waited until the service pack to buy this bird. I've been fortunate to fly several hours in United's 777 simulator so I wanted to wait until the jet was polished and ready for prime time. It was probably close to 9 years ago - but my memories are pretty sharp because I'm pretty sure I'll never get to do that again. Here are some observations, some good, some bad related to hand flying the beast. Also, before I jump in, I want to say, visually, the plane is stunning - a real work of art.     Strange thing happened to me yesterday. I was flying the B777-200LRX from LCLK (Larnaca, Cyprus) to CYQB (Quebec City), a 4,774 NM journey. I used Auto Time Compression at 8X (controlled by the chronometer switch) from the time I reached cruise altitude, and kept using it except for the step climbs. Everything went fine until I had about 550 NM to go. I then noticed several abrupt changes in speed and altitude even though the wind direction and speed were constant (I use Opus for weather interface). I went off and on Auto Time Compression a couple of times to stabilize things. Then, when I was about 450 NM from destination, the Auto Time Compression suddenly shot up to a …

    Hello Just recently purchased the PMDG 777 (Base pack only) along with 777 Immersion add on. Have a bit of a graphics issue. Sometimes, when switching views (wing internal etc) I get no aircraft showing on the external view. Scenery is there but no aircraft. I can pan etc but just shows scenery. I've a high spec machine and all sliders at max. Any advice what this could be? Best regards Gary Watt

    Hi Folks I' ve expierencend a problem installing certain liverys for the 777 in the OPS center. after installing i can't see any options to select. the livery is shown in FSX but crahes when i select them. the livery concernes is the one of vietnam airlines from the library here. greets chris

    Hi to all, Sice two days ago i am not able any longer to load a route, preperad with PFPX into FMC, an error message appears " Invalid Route Uplink, i have checked the the ARCAS and they are ok, same cycle. Hello, On one particular landing (YMML WBSB) just prior to crossing the rwy threshold I get an aural sink rate warning followed by a hard landing; just prior to the runway, the FMC is commanding over 1300 fps just prior to touch down All modes for the auto land remain engaged (LAND 3, Flare & Rollout) & are otherwise executed correctly during the landing. Landing configuration Flaps 30 Vref = 144 Kts (139+5) Has anyone else encountered this & is there a solution ? Thanks

    I wonder if anyone has a solution to the following i've searched everywhere and cant seem to find an answer. I'm currently using the 777 on a 4 monitor setup. FSX is in windowed mode. I have undocked and moved the PFD ND etc and FSX saves the position and sizes. The problem i have is that when the displays come alive they are only displaying in the top left portion of the undocked window and not the whole window. If i then click the border of the undocked window it fills the undocked window. Is there an entry in the panel.cfg that needs changing? Anyone building a cockpit found the same?

    Hi, sorry if this has already been asked, but it seems to me that the PMDG 777 (I have the -200) autobrake is too effective, even if I land on a short runway and select autobrake 1 the airplane stops in a very short distance and I never run the risk of overrunning the runway. This way I never need autobrake 3... Is it like that also in real life? Thank you.

  12. PMDG Crew: I searched for this on the support site first with keywords of 'uninstall' and 'deactivate' and didn't get any results. Weird. What is the proper procedure to remove the 777 entirely if I have the 300 expansion? I was thinking: 1. Log into FSX and deactivate the -300 and the -200 base. 2. Uninstall the -300 from the Windows control panel, then the -200. Make sense? No opinions, would prefer real experience or a PMDG staffer.

    Dear PMDG support, Inview of a system crash a complete FSX install was required and which naturally also included the PMDG add-ons. 1/ The t7-200 base pack, NGX 737-800-900 and Queen of the Skies 747-400 all went perfectly. But when attempting to install the T7-300ER Expansion Pack the following message stopped the system from installing it. Quote: The setup has detected that version 1.10.6155 of the PMDG 777-300ER Expansion Pack is alreadt installed.     while some may scoff at what I am about to say.................in a final act of sheer desperation and frustration I need to come clean. Even on autoland I still do not know how to shoot an ILS approach correctly, the little knowledge I have gleaned comes mainly from Utube and from videos put up by kids (with wrong information) taking a break from playing PACMAN and the like, but you get my gist. I fly the PMDG 777 because of its high level of accurate automation (which I need after my accident) to enjoy this wonderful hobby/addiction.     Hi guys, I bought the 777 as an early Christmas present for myself. It took some time as I'm not a long hauler but I did it Yesterday I was using it for a third time, and when putting the altitude on the MCP down for descent I accidently pulled out the altitude knob. Maybe even twice (not to self: only use mouse wheel from now on). Ofcourse the altitudes on the FMC now we're 1900 feet and my complete descent path was gone. Now I was wondering if anyone knows how to cancel this and get back to the original descent path again? I'm currently reading the manual but as you guys know it's a lot of pages and it takes some time, so I hoped for a little shortcut here …

    The limits set for RTA seem to be very tight. I set the RTA for a waypoint which is 1900+ nms away as 18:09, but when it is calculated that I will cross at 18:09:50 I receive the Unable RTA message. Is this realistic? If so, what are the limits to this?

    Hi fellow pilots. Planning to upgrade from the Level D 767 to the PMDG 777. I plan to study the operations manuals from front to back and side ways before I try to fire up the bird. I want to make this a real life learning experience like I did with the Level D. However there is no way in hades I will be able to print out the manuals into a notebook. Simply not possible. My question is this: I have a Sony E-Reader that uses adobe. Is it possible to load the manuals into the E-Reader using the Sony Reader software?     Hi, Any ideas on lead time foe ticket response/resolve i have reached the activation limit on the 777-200/300 and would like to get them activated and flying ticket submitted 2 days ago (i know some may say that is not long ago) but i have i do feel the activation limit strange surely each license is unique and can only be used singularly so why not activate it as many time as need (especially when trying to get fsx stable and smooth with addons) the standard activation issue soon vanishes (leaving me frustrated and still not been able to finish my fsx install ) Nick
