PMDG 777

hi all.I'm just curious to know if the upcoming 777 will be modelling the Electronic Flight Bag instrument. If so, how will this work and will it be fully featured or limited? I mean, for an examle, how will it display the electronic charts, will you upload a chart file (possibly in .rte format) into the EFB so then displays it on screen. Similar to how you load a co-route into the FMC, or will it require additional software, such as a payware service like NavigraphAnd what about the 'onboard video surveillance' feature? It will be fantastic if this instrument is modelled and fully featured.Thanks.

Is anyone else finding that the t7 has incredibly loud engine noise. Just sitting in the pit at FL400 in CRUISE it sounds like the engines are right in the cockpit with me. Almost deftening in external views as well. Shouldn't the engines be barely audible in the pit at high altitude and high speed? I have my FSX sound settings setup per the PMDG Manual all at 50% but even with the engine should level dropped to 24% its still way too loud.... Are the sound settings system and/ or soundcard specific? I have a top of the line brand new SB card but am wondering if its supposed to sound this loud.

I just created a basic 2D panel merging gauges from PMDG and POSKY 777. Am I allowed to post it somewhere so people can use it and make a better panel? Thanks

Hi all, On December 3rd, REX released an update to their REX Essentials Plus. Updating to 3.8.14 etc.... Now, let me start off by saying I know that last year in August 2013, REX announced they would support the uploads feature of the 777, but I never heard when or if this actually happened. Since first having the 777, I have always had this feature and it worked with REX. I was able to request, upload and load weather in the legs page and the descent forecast page. Both if I filed a flight plan through REX or just used the weather engine alone. Since updating to the most recent update, this feature now does not work. I get invalid message in my scratch pad. C…

Hi All, I apologize for asking this, but what is the trick to getting a 777 steering after it lands? I remember this being asked after shortly after it was released, but a bunch of searches did not turn up the original thread. In brief, I land OK, slow to a high-speed turnoff, but the nose wheel doesn't turn. The throttles also don't work unless I use the F3 and F4 keys. The throttles will then move in the cockpit view and the plane will roll. The joystick will not turn the front wheels, though. The brakes are not on, taxi and landing lights are on, no smoke or overtemp from the tires, I know it's something simple, but I dunno what it is. Thanks for any help! dan …

Greetings all, I was flying into EDDF/Frankfurt, after having installed the latest update from Aerosoft (Mega Airport X, with the newest runway). I selected the 25L approach in the FMC. The ILS info appeared on the PFD (showing "I-FSW/248, and the ILS indication below that. However, the numbers after DME were just dashes ("DME ---). The FMC NAVRAD page also showed the correct info (ILS 111.15/248 A). When I pressed the LOC button, it lit up green, along with the LOC indication in green on the PFD. I then pressed the APP button, which also turned green, however the G/S indication on the PFD remained white. I closed FSX, and ran the "Make Runways" utility. Re-started FS…

Hi guys, I was getting an RAAS warning every time I started FSX so I think I disabled it but can't remember what I did or my post on this forum concerning it. My question is: can I turn RAAS for the 777 back on, or do I have to reinstall?

This night t i was flying from OMDB to FAOR,flying time was 7 hours and 45 minutt,i was going ti sleep and afther 4 hours my autopilot was diconnected O_o and aircraft was not possible to fly... Specs: Intel I7 4790K 4.4Ghz GTX 7802 8 GB of RAM

can anyone please tell me why I cannot open the FWD or AFT cargo doors on my T7 I am on page 2 of the FMC doors and lsk 1l,2l or 3l do not work

I noticed that if I autoland the B777 at the FMC indicated aproach speed, it touches at an unusual high angle of attack, almost hitting the tail, so I must add almost 10/15 knots in order to land properly.- Is that an issue ? Thanks Jorge

Hi everybody, Maybe it is a bug from FSX, but when I simulate a dual FMC failure in cruise and I use the ALTN LEG page to go direct to a point or a fix with coordinates, the sim freeze and go out to windows. Is anybody has the same issue ? Thanks, Vincent

So I noticed that while i was flying the pmdg 777-300er, that only in the Emirates livery there isn't a switch for the no smoking signs... Tried to fully re-install the addon but the issue isn't fixed (it isn't that big of an issue, just wanted to point it out)

Greetings Captains, I have encountered an odd issue when trying to perform an offset within the Boeing 777 fmc. If I go to the route page an enter L02 in the offset column the plane offsets to the right and if I type and confirm R02 I offset to the left. Am I doing something wrong? Brandon Mckay

I can open FWD Acess and E/E Access, Cargo Bulk but not the Cargo FWD and AFT doors, any ideas why?

I have random failures set off, but sometimes after landing I cannot taxi anymore and noticed that the parking brake warning at my display shows, I tried pulling the lever and the animation shows it moving to the off position but nothing changes.- At the FMC failures page, I noticed that seven of them appeared active, all related to tyres and brake temps, each of them has an active yes/no and armed yes/no option, which I dont know how they work but tried all combinations.-. Hi I just downloaded ASN and I am trying to use it with the 777 heres is my issue. I use FlightSim Commander for my fight plans I save it, load it into ASN it enters the weather I save it again then fire up the PMDG. when I go to load the plan only the FSC plan shows and I am unable to load the wind data etc. Is there a way to save ASN plan as a plan the FMC will read? Is there something I am doing wrong that I can change? thanks in advance Al

Since it is in a very early stage of developement many of the functions are not yet available. I'm currently running 737NGX on this computer and I run NGX in some paid sceneries. Also I have rex override, too. I get framerate about 10 to 20 in CB with NGX. Hello everyone, Since the past few weeks I have begun to consistently get the 8 minute freeze problem when flying the PMDG 777. Usually about 3 times on a 6-8 hour flight. When the problem happens, I am usually only running FSX, ASN, and Smartcars (virtual airline tracking). From what I've read on Avsim the problem may be caused by ASN or an "apphang". When the freeze begins, the FSX screen is white and says "not responding" and then exactly 8 minutes later the sim unfreezes as if nothing I currently do not use any tweaks other than Highmemfix, wideaspectratio=true and disablepreload=1. Good Day, Since the last update i am facing for the first time the out of memory (never had it before) and after reading about the OOM issue and testing every advise on that, i still unable to fly the 777 even for a short flight with disabling all the add on scenery ... I have tested all the refrenced tweaking and still hearing the DING DING , comparing to another add on aircraft as Ifly 737 on the same flight my VAS is only around 2.7 I ll really appreciate your help Sid khezaz
