    Hi gents, From day 1 and even after SP1 (and updates) I'd been suffering the same dreaded pauses (sim freezes from 5 up to 10 mins., after which it continues from where the pause started, but with fuel burned) some other people reported. On longer flights (longer than 6 hrs.) they would vary from 3 up to 5 pauses per flight. It never was a real show-stopper for me and sure didn't keep me from enjoying this magnificent bird, but it was annoying. Now the strange thing is that since the last number of flights the pauses seem to be entirely gone! Strange because I didn't make any big changes to my system or FSX at all.     I've been flying the 77W since the day it came out. Loving every minute of it. I had service based failures enabled since day 1 hoping that it would make me get to know the MEL quite well. I have since accumulated around 150 hrs across the 4 aircraft that I fly. I have to say that I seem to be getting the same old failures over and over again, mostly the bleed system (APU BLEED VALVE, HP SOV valves, etc) and an occasional NOSE WHEEL BALANCE problem. That's good, but it gets old after a while.     Hey everyone, Quick question, I've been unable to switch between the two time formats on the 777 clock. It seems that switching between MAN and UTC both give me the same time regardless of location. Is there something I'm missing? I know on the NGX it was as simple as pressing the button, I'm not sure if the 777 clock requires anything extra or if this is a bug I should report. Thanks in advance!

  4. When flying between the U.S. and Europe the transition altitude changes from 18,000 MSL in the US to 6,000 MSL in Europe. At what point in the flows is this supposed to be done? As far as the procedure goes, I set the TA from the CDU VNAV Climb page during the preflight when entering the flightplan. How do you make the change prior to the descent phase? Is there a publication that lists the transition altitude for each region?

    I keep getting a yellow advisory on the PFD "Landing Altitude". I don't know what this means, as unlike the 737, there seems to be no way of setting the cruise level altitude or the landing altitude, although there is a knob on the overhead labeled "landing" which doesn't seem to do anything.     Hi, I tested INTC CRS FROM function yestarday... and observed strange behaviour of aircraft (200LR). Aircraft, fly over fix from which I set outbound course and then turns to intercept this course but turn was fairly steep – thus it crossed outbound course. After few seconds, it tried back to course, so started turn in opposite direction to catch course, but crossed the course again. Generally speaking – it looked like „zigzag pattern” flight. After a few „crosses” it finally stabilized on outbound course. I think it should starts turn to intercept course from fix around 2 nm before that fix – right? Is it a bug or there is something I’m doing …

  9. Dear Captains, i just love the PMDG 777-200LR and -300ER. Today, i flew both T7 variants and i noticed that the cabin window glass of the -300ER seems a little bit darker, less transparent if you look on the -200LR windows. Is this normal, a more than small "bug" or is this an option? Please compare the cabin windows of both airliners and you´ll notice the same. Cou can clearly see this at night: The Cabin lights of the -200LR seems to be brighter, caused by the brighter window glasses.

    hello I have a problem with the PMDG 777 ND. For example RJOO to RJTT. ( ASUKA-SHTLE-Y71-XAC-Y233-PQE-Y108-KAIHO ) Departs from the RJOO, is taken as SID ASUKA4. Normally, fly left curve, as PMDG 737 NGX and also of course do real Airliners. NGX ND show exactly SID for ASUKA with left curve. Unfortunately 777 ND indicates not as NGX, goes right curve. :blink: Although the same AIRAC12/14 and Flight Plan use. This problem applies not only to me, also my friend too.     Hello peepz. Im not sure if this has been asked here before. But can you guys adjust your seats? The reason im asking this is because i want to be able to push my seat back and adjust my view with ezdok to zoom level 1 and still be able to see the nd and the windsheild altogether. Because sometimes the headrest of the seat wont make me click anything if im on it. Thanks

  13. For those who can, I am able to see the "hidden" layer within the VC number file for painting the 777, but I cannot edit the layer because it has a LOCK. How do I UNLOCK the layer to edit it? I have looked within the program I use, Photoshop Elements 9, and I see no where to UNLOCK. As a painting kit, why was this layer sent out locked if it was not intended to be edited?     Quick question, I have noticed that sometimes when I test the WXR system in the 777 is shows all the colors on the ND and an aural "Monitor Radar Display" this is heard when FS2Crew FO is running through the checks. However say later on I press the test button again, I still get the color test on the display but no aural warning. Did I miss a switch or something. Or does it only sound off one time? I could be doing something wrong, any input would be great. Angelo

    Hello I am experiencing the following issue where I seek for you advice (stock FSX, PMDG 777, ASN, no other addons - win 8.1) The autopilot does not disengage, neither the assigned yoke button, nor the keyboard, nor pressing the AP button works. For the keyboard key, I see the button getting depressed on the MCP, but with no effect. The only way to disconnect is by using the bar, but then I cannot silence the siren as the yoke button has no effect. As additional observation, engaging the left AP always also engages the right one, both lamps come up simultaneously even if I activate only one side. Any ideas? Thanks Ross

  19. HELLO, I am new with the 777-200LR. I love approach and landing and use FSIA for them. I use FMC mainly for ILS rwy code. I have a couple of problems: I usually fly with A/T+A/P+ILS; I disconnect A/T abt. 15/1000 ft. and A/P abt. 500 ft. The first problem is speed; with low fuel and low load and flaps 30 It does not go below 164 knts, when I disegage A/T below 146 knrs it stalls. I know speed it is supposed to be be less but..................................suggestions ? The second problem is that I arrive at abt 147/148 knts disengage A/P (pushing z) at 500 ft. and with the first inpunt I give with the flight stick a horn begins to blare and it does stop till …

    I'm at a loss and can't find answers. Since last week, all three 777 variants show up with white flaps at night, as if the alpha was screwed. Any livery, stock or downloaded, or my own repaints. It works as it should in daylight. I checked everything I could. It was out of nowhere, I installed nothing in the mean time, have had SP1C for a while, and happens with or without ASN, payware and stock airports, I can't make them work. Ideas?

    My PMDG 777 crashes while on approach as I am configuring the FMC. This issues is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING considering I just flew a 10 1/2 hr flight to come upon approach and face the dreaded OOM or CTD, or FSX IS NOT RESPONDING crap.     Hi All, Got a little request and please don´t turn this subject into a VC vs. 2D war. I am have been using 2D cockpits since I started simming back in the mid-90s and so the transistion to VC is not an easy one which I think many can rely to. My biggest issues is the views and a few days ago I bought Aerosoft Airbus (A318-321) and was surprise of one thing. When in VC and the cockpit is zoomed back to fx. .40, the view "outside" (runway view) isn´t changed as it normally does whcih means that I can see my instruments and look outside the window at the same time, one thing I have problems doing with the 777 ect. .
