PMDG 777

    I accidently deactivated my 777 aircraft. When I reinstalled the aircraft + liveries, I can load the aircraft but no switches work. When I look at the aircraft, the landing gear also doesn't show (but the aircraft body does). When FSX loads the 777 it asks for the activation code (which I enter). It tells me the aircraft is activated, but when I get into the flight deck, the displays are dark and no switches work. Any suggestions?

  2. Currrently, it looks like PMDG 777 requires entry of CG to get takeoff V speeds. According to the PMDG 777 FCOM, entry of CG calculates stabilizer takeoff setting. It does not say entry of CG is required for takeoff V speeds calculation. Is this a bug ?

    About 3 or 4 weeks ago I wrote in this Forum about a flight from WSSS to WSSS eastbound following the equator that lasted about 46 hours. No scenery was disabled. You can see in my profile what airports and scenery I have. The flight went off without a hitch. This flight used a PMDG Southern Air livery on the 777F. About a week later I downloaded and used a Goldstar livery for the 77LR. It was the CPA Hong Kong Asia’s World City livery. I started a KJFK-VHHH flight. 4 hours into the flight OOM. I disabled some scenery and changed some FSX settings. I made it 8 hours before OOM. Today I tried the flight again after disabling almost all scenery and dialing back FSX …

    PMDG staff: I ran the 777-200 installer, did the Ops Center update, did the SP1c update and still have not been prompted to enter the activation code. It usually comes up when the plane is loaded in the FSX free flight screen, right? FSX Steam Edition 777-200 with SP1c No liveries installed stock textures, etc. What I've checked: --installed the correct software --FlexNet licensing service is installed but set to "manual" start and isn't running when the plane loads.     Good day, I've just purchased this sweet product from PMDG and after installation I started the FSX immediately to make sure the 777 were installed correctly. Then I tried to install the SP 1C downloaded from PMDG website, however, a message appears during the installation saying that I have the latest update and I don't have to install the new updates! What do you guys think?

  9. When first installing 777-200 SP1 the cockpit sounds (altitude callouts, etc.) played normally, but have disappeared (mostly) since then -- the engine sounds continue, but nothing else. By that I mean cockpit sounds occasionally play normally, but only through earphones when set to default (rather than the system speakers), so I know they're still enabled. Also cockpit sounds work fine with the 737 NGX and through the system speakers. So evidently there's something going on with my 777 configuration (I've checked all the configuration settings) that I haven't been able to find in the documentation.     Hello, Yesterday, I purchased the PMDG 777 from the PMDG website. I took it for a spin and activated it, but two things were not right. On the upper EICAS, there is a yellow message saying "LANDING ALTITUDE", and on the PFD, just above the altimeter display, it says LDG ALT in yellow. The other problem is on the exterior of the plane, as on the tail and APU, there seems to be lines hanging off with red triangles. Can some body please help me fix this?   11. What operators are using the new digital clock? Are all new builds after a certain date using the digital clock? I noticed from pictures online that Lufthansa Cargo are using it. Anyone else?     Hey guys! I just installed the pmdg 77l and 77w with a new system and a new fsx. But when i finish put my active code in the topic . It's said is sucessfully actived. But when i choose the aircraft,whatever 77L or 777-300ER. It was both like unactived. All the staffs is black. Even the FMC. So i think probably my active code not working. So what should I do next? Do i need to deactive all the PMDG 777 in other computer? Could the PMDG simulations help me to de-active it?? Thanks a lot IF you need my order code or something ,there is my Really Appreciate it!

  13. I just recently got the PMDG 777 after about a year with the NGX and was immediately impressed save for one thing. I like to handfly my approaches and departures and I immediately noticed that the aircraft would without warning pitch sharply up or down. I never had this problem with the ngx or any other airplane. I thought it might be connected to trim but I disproved that after some experimenting. Is this part of the fbw (I can't imagine it would be) or is it something wrong with my setup? Hi guys: I don't know if its me or probably more people are experiencing problems with their PMDG 777, as it loads to FSX Steam, all the electrics are off and unable to use them, because the buttons are unusable. If you are halfway through a NNM checklist with ECL, the numbers down the right hand side indicate green (completed) pages and white (incomplete) pages.   16. I have my PMDG 777 (777-200LR/F Base Package + 777-300ER Expansion Pack) installed on my current computer. If I upgrade my OS (Operating System) from Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit and need to uninstall FSX until the completion of upgrade, do I need to unregister PMDG 777 in the FMC and register it again after the reinstall of FSX ?

    Howdy All I've noticed that the PMDF B777-300ER VMO is modelled incorrectly. The PMDG aircrat has a VMO of 330 knots from sea level up until the MMO .89 limit is reached. This is not quite correct. Owing to (I believe) the re-designed wing tips of the 300-ER, the VMO actually increases from sea level to 350 KIAS, where it meets the M.89 limit at ~FL290 (in ISA). Thus when you climb the aircraft at 320 kts, you can see the VMO steadily increase away from your selected climb speed, giving you a greater margin in the event of an overspeed occurrence. I've seen climbs into jetstreams headwinds where other aircraft (including the 772 and 773) would have suffered a …

    Howdy All I can't seem to get the AP to engage after an Engine Failure After Takeoff. The TAC is working fine with the trim indicator showing an appropriate amount, there doesn't seem to be much rudder required (as it should be) yet I can't get the AP to engage. Can anyone else?     Every single approach I try to make into KSFO leads to a freeze at the exact same time/place and always while I am adjusting values in the FMC. It happens when I am on the BSR2 STAR and attempt to lower my speed at Menlo by entering 210/ (instead of the prescribed 240kts) into the LSK. I get an instant freeze whenever I try to replace the FMC speed at Menlo. Its a rather vicious freeze too - I can't even access Process Explorer because it seems I need to force an "end task" to get my desktop back (FSX is running in full screen mode). I do not have a "great" rig, but in the iFly NG for FSX I can pull 25-30 frames (which is acceptable to me) with FSRealWX weather.   23. In the NGX, you can do an rnav approach by pressing the approach button on final and the airplane helps guide you in. But I could not activate the approach button on final to an rnav approach. Also on approach the airplane did not tell me I was coming up to runway 08R at EDDP. After landing it did say I had X feet remaining though.

    I was doing a flight from London to Hong Kong in the 777f yesterday and decided to try an RNAV approach instead of an ILS. Not sure where I went wrong but on the RNAV-z RWY 25L approach once I entered the HOLD at GUAVA I could not exit it. I went on the HOLD page of the FMC and pressed the LSK for exit hold, but the EXEC light never lit up and the FMC wouldn't let me exit the hold even if I tried line selecting and copying the next way point over the hold on the LEGS page. Some other weird stuff happened right after; I couldn't modify the route at all in the FMC. Even trying to select the ILS approach in the arrivals page didn't change the route plan. I had to go aro…
