PMDG 777

Before I delve into my problems, I own a 100% legitimate copy of the PMDG 777-200LR/F and -300ER. This is not a cracked version. Yesterday I ran a clean install of FSX on my desktop, in preparation of starting my 777 home cockpit. However, when I loaded up the 777, all the panels were dark, the Addon Manager wasn't on the upper bar, there was no landing gear, and I couldn't click/move any of the buttons. It looks a lot like photos of cracked addons that I've seen. Some of the other FSX aircraft are messed up, I tried loading the default 737-800, but the EICAS listed the N1 at 2.3%, despite the engines running seemingly at full power in external view. This morning I purchased the extended download service for the pmdg 747 and 777. I got an almost immediate response to the 747 ticket but I am still waiting for a response on the 777 ticket. Does anyone know how long it normally takes? Thank you Andy Daigneault

Reinstalled FSX and PMDG 777. No activation code asked for, downloaded PMDG 777 product activation no luck.... am I missing something simple. Thanks.

Guys I am hoping maybe someone can help me. This all seem to happen after the last update of gsx. If I load a pmdg aircraft. Nothing in the fsx addon menu is selectable. My asn will not connect. My trakir will not work. And my ch yoke and saitek throtle will not function. If I remove the fsuipc dll from my fsx intall everything works again. I have reinstalled simconnect. Fsuipc. My c ++ runtimes and removed all fsdt stuff. No joy. If it's a pmdg aircraft with fsuipc enabled nothing works. Any help. Been struggling with this for a week.

If you look at the autobrake knob for the 777 the maximum setting is called "max auto". What does the 'auto' aspect effect?

Virtual cockpit views and exterior views are all ok, but when I come into cockpit view (the view where there should be a 2D Panel but PMDG did not design it), I cannot see the landing lights or taxi lights illuminate the ground ahead. This is what I found after installing SP1, and 300ER too. Is there any fix about this? Thanks. Ken

hi I just got the steam editon and I installed pmdg 777 and it did not ask for my key when I clicked fly now I looked in cockpit and all Is black screen no landing gear and no buttons worked please help

Good day Captains, -Is there any real soundpack or any other addons for the T777, either payware or freeware? -Second question, whenever I retract or extend the flaps, the movement of the flaps doesn't look smooth, and same thing when spoilers are deployed. Even though, my FPS around 40-60! is that normal?? -Finally, is there anyway to configure the start up fuel and payload on the airplane to be empty or to a specific number? I always want to load the T777 when I start FSX with empty fuel but I couldn't. Best regards, Adel

Hi, sorry if this has already been asked, but I have a doubt concerning FBW trim and autothrottle during landing. I understand that, in a "normal" landing, the A/P is disengaged say at 1000 ft, while the A/T remains engaged until after touch down. The question is: as soon as the A/P is disengaged, does the pilot command the airplane vertically only with the control column (elevators) or does he also intervene on the trim switches on the control wheel? If I understood well, the trim switches change the FBW trim speed when in manual mode, thus I guess they should not be used in this case, since it's the A/T that commands a constant speed (in this case the Vref).…

I have been preparing myself for the winter month flights as snow, sleet and slush become more common place with WINTER officially here. However, I am not familiar with cold weather procedures. I have looked for this in writing, including the PDF files that come with the 777. I have not found what I am looking for. Wherein I have simple cataract-eyes, and someone can easily point me in the right direction, please be kind. What are the simple, yet proper, cold-weather procedures? Thanks.

Help ! I cannot get the pmdg 777 started in multiplayer mode. I end up with no initialisation of the plane, no landing gear and black cockpit screens, no FMC screen either. My buddies of the virtual airline all can fly their 777 in multiplayer mode. I use FSUIPC 4 because of earlier joystick problems. Any suggestions ? Hello, This might be a weird/random question but is it possible to turn off the sounds from inside the cockpit, more specifically the air conditioning that you can hear. Basically, I just want to hear the engines and that's all. (as well as GPWS etc) Regards, James

Hello To carry out touch and go's I setup the FMC as you would for a normal flight, with departure and arrival airport set the same. The main data I'm after are V speeds and a map reference of the touch and go runway for guidance purposes. What I've found is on touchdown after the first circuit the FMC deletes the departure/arrival airport data, V speeds, and ZFW reference. Is there a way around the deletion of this data for touch and go's? Thanks

I'm somewhat new here, as this is my very first PMDG purchase...until I purchase another aircraft later tonight. As I don't own a headset, I don't fly online. I'm confined to the default ATC. It seems though, that at least half the time, even with the radios on and tuned to the right frequency, they won't pick up ATC. Is there an option or setting I should play around with? Thanks, Marc

Hi everybody I have search in this forum and found some info about what i am about to ask but i am hoping for some more inside expertice B) I am using ASN over a network and having the brillliant uplink CO route and weather setup quite nicely and everything seems to be working fine but with a side note. The flightplan from FSX (the wx file created by PMDG777 is not loaded automatically into ASN and also not updated automatically along the route. I can do so manually.by loading the file so the wx file is good (i have enabled auto load flightplan from FSX in ASN) Is this a network issue ? Okay...I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong on an approach yesterday. I was flying into Indianapolis, KIND, rwy 5R. It was pretty much straight in, since I was coming from the SW. I cross KELLY around 5000 ft (I think). I selected that runway in the FMS. I can't remember when I picked up the LOC but it was a white diamond. I looked up in the FCOM v 2., 10.10.14, and it is the Anticipation Cue. I also got the white diamond for the glide slope. So, I'm making my merry way into 5R and noticed the white diamonds never turned to the magenta diamond. So i look on pg 10.10.16 and says "fills in solid when within 2 1/2 dots from the center". Getting used to the sheer depth of systems simulation on the T7. I'm not even surprised to see the FWD L fuel pump being driven by DC when the pump switch is OFF and APU running, because that is how it operates on the real thing (as I see it in the manuals at least). What really blows me away, for example, is to see the EGT after shutdown of the engines. Put the fuel control switches to CUTOFF and watch the EGT decrease as there is no more burning of the fuel inside the engine. Then, when the fans stop rotating, put the fuel control switches to RUN again, just to see EGT readings and watch the EGT rise again! I guess as there is no more bypass airflow cooling the comb…

I am getting a warning light on takeoff, and there are no messages telling me what the warning is. I thought it was an anomaly so, I restarted my sim, and took off again. It still gives me a warning and I cannot reset it! It did reset, but it would be nice to know what may have caused it. I had my flaps set to 15, and the warning didn't start until after I had lifted off. It reset some time after I reached transition altitude.
