PMDG 777

i just completed another KBOS-EINN flight encountering the usual winter foul weather on approach to EINN. I had to hold for 15 minutes while the approach heading cleared - lots of red and magenta. I then had to manuever around several nasty cells and I'm afraid the guys in back won't be sending any attaboys my way. When I divert from the CDU/FMC flight path I usually reset the next waypoint in CDU by pressing LK1 twice then following the breadcrumbs to the waypoint when a clear path presents itself. In heavy weather the ND magenta flight path gets lost in the clutter. The vertical RNP/ANP has a few pixel window bordering it so the display is visible even in the worst weat…

The request is then sent but after a few moment I receive the following reply .... Invalid Forecast Uplink ........ I am have ActiveSky Next installen and fully working. Good day all. I am wondering if anybody has issues with FS2Crew and 777? (It only happens with 777) My problem is when I command Start Engine in FS2Crew FSX crashes. Everything is working fine up to the point when I command Start Right Engine and then CTD. If I start engines myself then no problem. I posted this issue in FS2crew and CTD forum but so far no luck. Hello all: It seems that just recently something is affecting my textures of the 777. I am updated to the most recent version 1.10.6155 for the 777-200. I've tried multiple liveries and they are all doing the same. It may be something I turned on but I don't get any external lights, and there seems to be 2 items dangling from the aircraft. One from the top of the vertical stab and the other off the rear cone APU exhaust. It looks like a rope with an orange triangle at the end of it. I also get random flashes in flight of the ground equipment which also does not show up when selected during pre-flight. Is this maybe a dx10 issue? My 737 package still works great b…

Afternoon everyone. I would like to ask the frequent flyers of the PMDG 777 a brief question about approach flap selection. Yesterday, I was just about to start my approach into Frankfurt. I selected flaps 20 in the FMS and verified the selection when I went through the landing checklist on final. However, just a few hundred feet above the ground, the GPWS began to shout at me, "Too low! Flaps!" Of course, this warning prevented the altitude callouts and my landing was quite rough. I've never had this issue when using flaps 25 or 30. Is this a bug or have I missed something?

Hi, I tested INTC CRS FROM function yestarday... and observed strange behaviour of aircraft (200LR). Aircraft, fly over fix from which I set outbound course and then turns to intercept this course but turn was fairly steep – thus it crossed outbound course. After few seconds, it tried back to course, so started turn in opposite direction to catch course, but crossed the course again. Generally speaking – it looked like „zigzag pattern” flight. After a few „crosses” it finally stabilized on outbound course. I think it should starts turn to intercept course from fix around 2 nm before that fix – right? Hi, I'm sure the FCOM explains my forthcoming question in detail SOMEWHERE in it's cryptic volume, but for the life of me I can't seem to locate the answer I'm looking for. Specifically, in a cold and dark scenario without external power usage, is the APU started without first doing a fire bottle/warning detect test beforehand? When the battery master is turned on from a C and D scenario, the normal standby power mode is not active and the fire protection loops can't be tested until the APU is started and it's generator in on bus. Does the 777 automatically do a fire protection loop test in the background before the APU starts is this condition? It is …

Wonder if any one knows how to fix this issue. I recently bought&installed PMDG 777. I undock the CDU (for example) and it loads fine, but when I drag that undocked window into one of my other monitors in my home cockpit the undocked window goes black/blank. if I drag the window back to the main fs screen it loads fine there, just does not like to load on any of my other monitors. I have never experienced this before. in fact in a default FS aircraft it works fine, only in PMDG777. I thought I might of messed up something in FSX, so I did a total un-install of everything I own, reinstalled FSX, SP1, SP2, FSUIPC4, and PMDG777. Still get the same results. …

Hello Gang! Quick question on RAAS. If we have the unlocked version of RAAS installed in FSX, is it safe to uninstall the locked version that comes with the PMDG 777? Not sure what type of impact having both instances installed in FSX may or may not have in performance, but I'd just rather have one RAAS version installed vs 2 of the same. Any input is appreciated. I have recently started using TOGA for take off thrust setting....So I advance the throttles to 51% as per manual, press the screw on the MCP, or the TOGA button on the throttle, then the thrust seems to go to the max thrust setting - then retard to around 70%??? why does this happen.??? I have to then manually control thrust as I was doing anyway, on the takeoff roll.

Hallo, I expierence an uncommanded but constant left turn direct after take off with 777-300. Autopilot is off, Manual flight, Autothrust active. I have to actively force against with Aileron movement to overcome the left turn. Is this normal? Anyone an idea what is the reason? Thank you in advance for comments. Best Regards Andreas Hövel

Last Friday I started a flight from WSSS to WSSS east bound along the equator. The flight was nonstop, about 26000 statue miles, and took 46 hours and 13 minutes. Obviously I had to refuel during the flight using FS Actions. My objective was too see if FSX and the 777F would operate that long without problems. They did. It was flown at a normal rate with no compression/acceleration or auto-step climbs used or any airports or scenery disabled. It was uneventful and boring.

EDIT: Ah, I see (or better: disregard!!) The SP1C update came over the Operations Center... So nothing new... BTW: the SP1C files downloaded and installed via the OC are stored in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center\Product Updates\PMDG_777_200LRF_SP1C_UPDATE or \PMDG_777_300ER_SP1C_UPDATE respectively.

on why after a transatlantic flight from EGLL to KJFK I am failing to pick up the G/S only the LOC ON MY T7. All the flight, up until that landing is routine. I am landing at 4L and am using the Parch 1 star from my last waypoint Ebony at TOD. I have my altitude set at 2500 all the way for the decent, I am not flying with ATC to give me vectors only the FMC.

Hello all! After flying the 777 for almost a year, I recently noticed that my custom waypoints were being 'ignored'. I have, for as long as I've flown the 777, successfully entered multiple custom waypoints in the (example) format: " JSV034/20 " ('JSV' being a VOR, '034' the bearing and '20' the distance.) Since I installed SP1C, the FMC will accept custom waypoint entry only once, but then if I decide to insert another, it is simply 'ignored'. (without the display of "INVALID ENTRY" or anything like that). Note: I have tried this entry into the LEGS page, RTE page and FIX page. and still experience the same problem. I have just bought the PMDG 777 and it is a fantastic plane, I also have the 777 300 package and both are fully updated. Does anyone know how you get the ILS morse code on audio? The FMC chooses the correct frequency and the ILS works ok, I just would like to be able to hear the morse code for reassurance. Any help out there please?

Hi, I'm in the process of mapping a secondary keyboard for use as an overhead with HIDMacros and FSUIPC. However, I can't find any way to assign key commands to the overhead apart from lights and engine start switches. Is there a way to do so; perhaps importing LINDA configuration files into FSUIPC? Hey Guys, I've recently been having this problem where the odd time, the Arrivals will not show any options for runways and approaches. I have no idea why. I recently updated the AIRAC to 1412. My PMDG folder in my FSX directory even shows the airports with all their runways and information in the SIDS/STARS folder. Has anyone ever experienced this? Or can make a suggestion at what could be wrong? I've been trying to upload a picture of the FMC showing 1/0 pages and no information for Arrivals, but the forum keeps rejecting my formats Thanks guys!

Hello Ladys and Gentleman, today i red that the Dynamic Friction Modification for FSUIPC is one of the "must haves" to get the most realistic experience with our T7. I downloaded this file and i´m testing it right now and it´s really a difference. There isn´t much throttle work needed with this parameters. But is this realistic? Do you need this "mod"? I´m really looking forward to your replies and experiences with this modification!

Hello Everyone, When I attempt to uninstall the PMDG 777, I go into the installer, and click remove. It instantly shows as the program is uninstalled, but it really isnt. When I go back to re-install the 777, the same options are available. (Modify, Repair, Remove). I click remove again, and it does the same thing. I went to the uninstall a program feaure in my control panel and attempted to remove it there, but the same thing happened. I might have possibly deleted some files by accident. (Yes, I realise that the readme told me that I was not supposed to delete any of the files.) (I read the readme after I deleted the files)
