Guys, It's time for me to get a new plane. I have been flying the PA46T for the last couple of months and like it a lot but I need something new. What about the C90B? What does everyone think? Is the quality the same as the 46T? Can you easily install the reality GNS 530? Documentation better than the 46T? You pretty much had to figure out what all the switches and buttons do on your own with that plane. Thanks!!

Hi, I guess most of you would like to have your AC powered while on ground without draining the battery. I was hoping for some kind of added value to the modeled switch in the C90, - I mean, why make the switch work but without its proper function? Does anyone know if this feature has been mentioned from Carenado ? best regards

Gentlemen, I recently acquired the King Air, and I find it all good, except for one little issue. Every time I put the plane into cruise flight, and bring back the power a bit, my annunciator panel lights and other warning lights all switch on, my EFIS switch off, and I have to turn that back on and reset the annunciator panel, BUT my engines and general flight components all work! Anyone experienced this, or better yet, found a sollution. It could be that I am doing something wrong too of course. I did ask Carenado, sent them a screenie to, but it seems like it is not a known issue in the plane, a rarity, which is good, but I still need to find out where I …

Hi guys, My rig isn't all that great so I've decided to quit the heavy hitting FPS stuff like the NGX until I can upgrade. How is the FPS of this particular aircraft when compared to the NGX? Is this a huge FPS hitter or is it closer to the realm of default aircraft? Thanks!

After a two years break I am back to FS thanks to Carenado's C90 !! I was exclusively flying the Aeroworx B200 in FS9 for years (was a member of their beta testing team) and as we all know they ceased to exist and their King Air did not make it into FSX. I am glad Carenado will do B200 in the not too distant future but have purchased the C90 nevertheless. I couldn't be happier, a very well done plane. Raisbeck/Blackhawk do a C90 conversion which bring it quite close to a B200 performancewise and I am wondering whether anybody has already tried to tweak Carenado's C90. The improved Raisbeck/Blackhawk figures can be found on the web but the question is whether f…

Did you notice that you can pull back the prop lever completely and still be able to have about same prop power so that you can basically takeoff and fly to your hearts content as if the prop lever is properly set to fine? Yes there is some sound difference when you pull back that throttle lever but you still can fly around as if the prop levers have not been set to fulll coarse. yes I know you can advance a plane with prop levers set to full coarse but to be able to take off an fly and climb at 1000ft/min is definitely WRONG tested by real pilots..? maybe but they might know how to fly a real plane but have no idea to test a flightsim game.. Sorry the prop le…

A new sound update for the C90B released today on Avsim.com titled sound_c90_king_air.zip Have not tried this as at work now. The co-pilot program "It's Your Plane" has interfaced the C90B for both VFR and IFR co-pilot assistance in all flight modes. Some of the checklist items are not right, but otherwise a great program. The C90B is a rather complex aircraft to fly in heavy IMC IFR single pilot if one is not well versed in its operations making this program great for sim pilots just getting involved with the plane. I haven't used the C90 for few days and all was normal during the last flight. but today i just don't know why but i'm no longer able to set the autopilot. Display is completly blank. If i depress the heading button or vertical speed button, tool tip shows that the heading is "on" or the vertical speed but i have nothing on the display. I,ve tried to change aircraft and it works with other aircraft but when i come back with the C90 still nothing on the autopilot. Thanks for your help.

This issue is not 100% related to the c90 but it effects flight in the c90 the most so I will put it here. I finally figured why I can not taxi this airplane (or why it takes 500+ lbs trq to break away) there is something wrong with my rudder pedals. I am starting to notice this in all planes that I fly. When I bring up power and the plane does not move I can pan down and quickly "tap" the P-Brake in and out (off-on-off) and the plane will start to roll (at the correct power setting) Then any application of toe brakes will start to slow and stop the aircraft and I am back where I started with having to apply immense amounts of power to break away. Any of your …

I looked through all the PDF files I could find in my download directory, in the FSX Carenado directory, in the C:\carenado directory, and in the FSX simobjects airplanes specific folder for this model and can find no reference to any key combinations to operate any special features for this model. All I can seem to do is open the door with the default FSX key combination. Are there any other features available? Chocks, engine cowlings, baggage compartments? Anything?

Hello, I purchased the C90 to practise emergency procedures etc for my real life twice yearly caning in the Flight Safety B200 sim. Whilst I think an outstanding job has been done, I am finding that when ever I practise an engine failure on departure etc I am getting a huge amount of oscillation while holding a constant rudder pedal input and then when feathering the prop it occurs again. Whilst it keeps me on my toes, is there any way to "wind down" the oscillation. You don't see anywhere near this in a B200 and I can only guess but I would say the C90 does not/should not do this either. Im happy to alter any .cfg files as required, I also have Air Wrench v.9…

Hi guys, I wanted to know something. I have tried this Plane at my friends house and I'm quite impressed by this little piece of nice work. However there is some stuff that I need to know. I don't want to buy a non realistic plane and I noticed numerous non realistic thing. And the biggest one is this: I wanted to try a windmilling start in Air cause by an engine shut down (or a normal start in AIr) using realistic procedure. I put not enough fuel in the left tank and waited to see what was happening... The Fuel Panel was correctly configured. At 0 Fuel, the Engine L NO FUEL XFR illuminated, I shut down the Transfert pump as stated in real procedure... But…

Off to Lakeland, Florida and National Flight Services to pick up a newly acquired Beech King Air C90B, N903TT. It will be the third in our fleet. We will be dropping off another of our C90Bs, N905TT, for maintenance. Our enroute forecast is somewhat iffy as we leave as there is scattered unsettled weather up and down the east coast. Here is a good shot of N903TT, waiting for us in Lakeland. N905TT climbing out from Asheville as we begin our trip south. Note the improved REX Essentials cumulus clouds. Uh Oh! Descending over central Florida into impending weather! Should have known! But the excitement of the new acquisition spurs us on to Lakelan…

I think it's called the HSI or horizontal situation indicator. Anyway it's the top LCD display gauge situated between the Air speed indicator and the altimiter. Sometimes it comes on and works fine and sometimes when I start a flight it doesn't and I'm not sure why. When it doesn't work, it still shows things in the display like the words "Rockwell 1995", the icon for my airplane, "FD" and "GPS" inside a red squares, but it doesn't show the ground or the horizon, it's just all black. There is a few switches inside the cockpit that I don't know what they do, but none of them seem to have any effect on this gauge/display. I wonder if this is operator or if there is a proble…

first off a little bit off topic.. but I noticed that when you turn cabin temp mode on to auto or manual heat it is very noisy.. is this correct? I want to quiet the sound but if it is noisy in real life then I'll leave it be. ok.. from the Carenado manual Normal Checklist p2 10. Oxygen Control ....pull on, check mask flow push off I know there is no mask.. but is there a way to test oxygen flow anyway? and how? 22. Engine anti ice.. on really on?? why turn on the engine ai now? makes no sense to me fire detector test?? how is this modeled? I don't think so.. am I correct? gear down annunciator test.. - how?/where? hyd fluid sensor test -…

Found Elite Simulation Solutions offering a custom King Air Quadrant as a standalone unit. The description says it has a detent at the idle position and calibration to allow full travel into reverse. From the picture it appears there is a Ground Fine range as well. The calibration is done through their software and is done in 3 easy steps of moving the levers and hitting the Set button. They have a Loan Officer available to help setup a 5 year payment plan. Anyone with experience in using this quadrant? Take a look here: https://www.flyelite.com/shop/king-air-b200-throttle-quadrant/ Russ

Hi all... I got the King Air a little while ago and have been having an absolute blast throwing it around! Great airplane and very good simulation of the real thing. I set up a number of EZCA camera presets, some in the VC and other in the external view... all of which worked perfectly until I installed the new updated version of the C90B... the version that now comes with P3D option. Now, whenever I chose a camera in EZCA, ALL views are from the VC... even those I had set to be external. Ezca still displays the camera name, but it also says Virtual Cockpit and of course, parts of my airplane are missing in the external view due to it being the VC model displa…
