C90B King Air HD Series FSX | P3D

Thought i'd check here to see if anyone else has a 'stuck' overspeed needle on their Airspeed Indicator. If so, then i'll contact Carenado.

  4. Hopefully a quick question.... i recently returned to FSX and been investing in the Carenado Fleet. I got the C90 at a B& M store, so not the download. I have everything working so far except the Garmin. As you can see from the attached, this is all I get. I know(hope) the answer is simple. I love what has progressed over the past few year with FSX and all its supporters. While I don't miss the days of DOS and a green line for the horizon, the realism is certainly something to behold. Hopefully some might have the answer to my dilemma? I thank you in advance.

Hey folks, I´m a new owner of the C90B. So far I like it, flies fast, easy and the cockpit is pretty neat. BUT what ruins the fun for me is that huge and bad looking Avidyne moving map and the GNS430 beneath. Both look pretty ugly and barely usable. Especially the Avidyne map is mostly unreadable and thus unsuable for anything else than just basic navigation. Typing in some flightplanes with the GNS430 is barely impossible, the bad resolution and usability kill the fun. FPS-wise no problem (others said it tends to be very FPS-hungry). Is it normal that these two gauges are pretty much unsuable or did I just miss something in the settings?

  6. One thing that is frustrating for my old eyes is that I cannot see "own plane" in terrain view because the white does not work for me, Also in the forward view "own plane" is obscured halfway by terrain colors So I added another Black bitmap and adjusted the code to show a black little plane when terrain has been selected, and I move the map up a bit as well as the plane, so that it is not so much obscured anymore and better in terrain view. At least my eye catch it quicker. Config changes For those that want to have the avidene start up always with brightness dimmed so that the Aviden GPS is not so much overexposed, (I do because 90% o…

Starting from the usefull tutorial created by Kurt Kalbfleisch and official Carenado C90B checklist, I've created my own "one-page-two-side" checklist for my flights. I hope you can find it usefull Note: bold items should be performed only during first flight of the day Luca

Just a though ~ And this is definitely the project manager in me shining through, but does anyone have a complete list of the bugs we've found with this aircraft? Is someone keeping a list they can post here? I, like many of you, have really been looking forward to this release and think it has the potential to be an awesome add-on (as someone who logged several hundred hours in the Aeroworx BE20, I've been longing for a King Air in FSX for a long time!). However, it seems that there are still some issues that need to be addressed - some minor, some major, here and there. Perhaps if the user community bands together and presents these to Carenado in a consolidated for…

I was wondering if there was anyway to reduce the Textures of the Carenado C-90, from 2048 to 1024 ? I just purchased this C-90, think its an alright plane, but, the Textures are a tad bit much consuming on my Computer, even with a reeally decent graphics card and 12 Gigs of Ram, and a Quad Core processor. Really don't feel I should have to lower all my settings just to Fly that particular Aircraft more Fluidly,,, kinda sucks,,, very Taxing on my System, compared to other Aircraft I've got from them and other payware too. Any ideas ?? Thanks ! Jetranger.

Anyone here have knowledge of how to change the start up state of this model so that the parking brake is set to "on" when the model loads? The only parking brake setting I find in the aircraft.cfg file is a setting that just indicates the parking brake is available.

As shown by the image, the autopilot is set to NAV 2, on VOR radial 245; the plane is 99.3 NM from the station, and the CDI is centered. By this point, I would expect the autopilot to turn and intercept heading 245, with the green arrow pointer on top. Instead, it keeps tracking about 260, and it won't change direction from there. Can someone explain me if there is something wrong I am doing? Or is it this an erratic behavior? Enrico

  15. Hello everyone, here is my question: when you start the engine, or taxi, do the prop pitch levers have to be full forward? I noticed if you pull them towards you (aft), that of course slows down the plane, but maybe this manoeuvre is not correct, and instead you have to go into beta range and reverse with the power levers, to slow down the airplane. One last question: the prop pitch levers can be moved into the feather position (aft); do pilots pull them into feather only when they have an engine out? The king Air c90b is my first turboprop airplane, and I would appreciate if someone more knowledgeable could clarify these points, thank you and take care, En…

Hello, I am a brand new owner of the C90B. As I was looking at the instrumentation, I noticed some changes from the piston planes I usually fly. In particular, the throttles ( Power Levers in a turboprop, I think), have four possible settings: reverse, grd idle, fly idle, full power. I use the throttle quadrant from Saitek, and I am wondering how to set the throttle from Saitek to match those four settings? I have FSUIPC registered version, but wouldn't know how to set the throttle axis up correctly. I would appreciate if you could help me out, and tell me how you do manage the quadrant in the C90B, many thanks in advance, Enrico

Hello, i just purchased the C90B and i am very impressed with the way it looks visually and the interior of the VC and how interactive it is... just one slight problem... I moved all the documentation onto my tablet and am sitting at an airport cold and dark getting ready to startup. I run the the first page of the checklist entitled "Before Starting Engines". All good there... next page "Engine Starting (Battery)" is the issue. I turn on the ignition and starter; i know when you hit the starter the ignition flips up automatically. The RIGN light illuminates on the panel. When my N1 hits 12.0% i engage the Condition Lever to 'Low Idle' and then thats it. As i look at …

I can turn the ADF off and on as well as flip the frequencies. What I can't due is tune the ADF. I'm hovering the cursor over the ADF knob with no results. Also can't get the windshield wipers to turn on - I can place the knob in the parked position and that's it. Anyone have a solution? Cheers, Frank

Hello everybody! After going through Yoda´s wonderfull Flight Tutorial of the C90B I was just asking myself if it is possible to do a kind of startup xml-script for the C90 to get her completely cold & dark from the first load. I would first be talking about the Inverters and the Autoinginition beeing activated from start by now ... every time we have to switch them back to "off" before we can do the startup-procedure ... or is it only my setup here doing these things? Don´t know if and how this could be accomplished, it was just the first thing that came into my mind after completing the tutorial. Just a thought!

Gents, I had my first flights in the T-44C this week (C90A retrofitted with Proline 21) and figured I would not how well Carenado has portrayed this aircraft. We are all always in the pursuit of "As Real as it Gets" so I thought I would let you guys know that I actually use the Carenado C90 to practice my single-engine and instrument work. It flys very well and acts as well as you could ask for an aircraft limited by the FSX engine. That being said just flying the T-44 in general has been awesome, easy to fly and easy to land, and much more comfortable than the aircraft I just flew (T-6B). If anyone has any questions or scenarios about the aircraft please send m…

I don't think I ever got that before on any plane, nor with the C90 : both the compass and the GPS are showing my track as 314 degrees - but the EHSI is happily showing 014 degrees ! I noticed that after take off. There does not seem to be anything I can do to change that. I may have read about this in the past on the forum, but can't remember. Is this just a case of restarting FSX and hope it won't happen again ? Wonder what caused this. Any idea, please anyone ? Merry Christmas to all !

Greetings, Are any of you experiencing a click spot issue on the transponder? I cannot adjust squawk code because there are no click spots. I turned off "Instrument reflections," but that did not correct it. Is this a bug or do I need to attempt a reinstall. I finally got he RXP430 to install correctly and this thing is awesome to fly! I just have this nagging issue with the transponder. thanks for any help!

It is a beautiful scheme and since I can't paint, I was wondering if there was a kind soul out there that could give this one a go? Thanks in advance!
