I use two monitors when flying, one for virtual cockpit and exterior views and the other for undocked windows with Autopilot, Gps etc. whenever I move the windows over to the second monitor they black out. If I try to move them back...fatal error! End of flight!...time for a brew! Any ideas out there? Thanks guys, Jim.

Greetings fellow C90 drivers. I am interested in doing a repaint of the Buffalo Airways Bird Dog. I saw this C90 on an episode of Ice Pilots. Thought this would be a cool repaint to try. I have done a Google search but have come up with not much selection or the images are low resolution and cannot see the details. If you have photos of this aircraft would you sharet them in this post? Or if someone has already done a repaint could you point me into their direction? Thank you in advance.... Kevin

I am trying to get all the controls for the C90 out onto my sim switch panels and it's proving to be rather challenging. I have been able to get most working, but I'm having a bear of a time with a few like Master Caution, Master Warning, and Transfer Test. Another example, I have the wipers working on a rotary switch on my panel, but can not find the code to park them when off. The run with the correct animation and sound in sync, but when I go to the off position they stop where they are and don't park. FSUIPC can handle many with the native FSX facilities or the extended FSUIPC offsets. For the rest I'm dabbling (for only the second time) in lua scripts and whi…

Has anyone had any unexpected aircraft system failures? Today I lowered my gear during an ILS approach and noticed the gear motor sound was very shot lived. The gear knob was red so I went to an external view and noticed all 3 wheels only lowered about half way. I recycled the gear but it still no fully lowered gear. I couldn'y find a manual gear lowering system so did a (successful :Big Grin: ) gear up landing! I wouldn't have thought the modellling was that sophisticated? Any one else have anything like it? P

I thought I give it a try and paint my GVA livery on the C90B. I decided to keep a traditional Beechcraft paint pattern on the fuselage, but had to have GVA motif on the tail.

Hello world!! I have passed the IVAO Private Pilot exam, and I have flown with the default Cessna 172 until pretty much today. My next step is the Senior Private Pilot exam, where you have to fly IFR, NDBs, VOR radials, SIDS, STARS; I could use the default Baron 58, which is probably a good thing to start with, mainly because the IAS is still relatively low, but I am thinking of flying something more fun, enjoyable, and here come my questions: Real Air Turbine Duke or Carenado C90B King Air, or maybe both. I have read pretty much all the 13 something pages of this thread, I see Carenado released two SP since first release, there is the RealityXP integration. Wha…

I was reading a write up the other day about a real world pilot, that prefer to fly the C90B and his reasons why. In it he stated it great to fly even though the the controls or aircraft response is a bit heavy. I love to fly the C90B but would really like to calibrate my yoke to replicate the response of the real Aircaft as closely as possible. At present my yoke is obviously way too senstive. Im almost sure FUIPC adjust sensitivity with response curve but are there any C90B flyers out there that has mapped the curve to this Aircraft? if so, what values do you recommend?

Hi all, I can't understand a very strange behaviour of the EHSI: I have a misalignment between compass and EHSI heading of 30-40 degrees. If I'm fliying heading 360° (on compass and on FSX Maps) in my EHSI "12 hours position" I see, for example, 320°. Everything works but this misalignemnt is very annoying while, for example, you're trying to intercept a VOR radial because you haven't ad immediate awareness of where you're flying compared to VOR radial. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks

Is there an easy way to raise the barber pole (max speed). I know it would be not realistic but i have raised select values in the cfg (thrust scalar and prop) to 1.10 in some weather situations i am getting a overspeed warning. Most of the time it is perfect.

Hello world, I would like some info from C90B pillots as to what comes with the plane, in terms of manuals, or checklists, settings with different combos for MAP/RPM at different phases of flight. I am not expecting anything like a POH, but at least some sort of performance PDF, same goes for the instruments it carries. Let me know, and many thanks Enrico

I was wondering if anyone has come up with a Mod or settings that will tame the C90B during taxi. I am usuing the Saitek Rudder pedals with registered FSUIPC for all settings. She remains very sensitive to brake inputs at taxi speeds greater than 5kts or so. have even tried to reduce some braking effects in the CFG file but does not seem help at all. Have checked all the normal things like dupe axis assignments through FSX and clean there. I love this bird but hate the jerking all over the taxiway and runway when using brakes. Help!!

It doesn't appear to be listed here, but I recently purchased the C90B for P3D and it's my favourite airplane right now. I don't know where else to say this ... ok, maybe the X-Plane forum, but will the Carenado folk read that forum? They might I guess, because I have a few of the Carenado planes for X-Plane ... but what I'd be so happy to buy would be a C90B for X-Plane done to the level that Carenado do so well. That's it I've said it Cheers! P.S. The edit .. I don't mind Prepar3D and it's a testament to it and Carenado that I have an abiding attachment to the Carenado C90B in P3D ... but I love the 'alive' feeling in X-Plane that I don't quite seem to get…

The doors were working fine for the first few flights and now I can't keep the door open. The animation plays, door opens full length, then 'disappears' back to closed position, and I can then draw it down again only for the same result. Any solutions? Win7x86 FSX SP2

Hi, I've searched but without success for the answer to this. On the AP panel, there is a 3-way toggle button for the EFIS timer, but I can't seem to start the timer, only reset it if it's running or stopped. I know how to select the timer so it shows on the display using the rotary switch. Could someone tell me how the timer is started? Thanks, Fabio

Hi folks! I've just taken delivery of the King Air C90B and I'm planning on taking it for a little jaunt around the world, visiting all the countries competing in this years Olympics (all 204 of them!). I've had a look through the included documentation and can't find anything to do with the range of the aircraft at relevant heights etc. Have I missed something? Also I'd like to use accurate fuel weights where possible. Does anyone know of a good fuel planner for the C90? Finally I have FS Commander 9 which doesn't have a profile for the C90. Is anyone aware of a profile being available that I could use. A lot of request, I know, but many thanks, in advance, for an…

Hallo I have poblems with the fuel gauges of C90. When i started a flight all tanks are 100%. Before take off the right tank had 100% the left tank 96%. The consumption is not similar. During the flight the fuel consumption is only from the left tank the right is always 100%. And now a funny thing. When i load the C340 from Cerenado and activate the fuel switch to right tank, finish the flight C340 and load the C90 again and the right tank is addressed and the consumption is similar. Is here an overlap of both config files of the fuel system of C340 and C90 ? I hope you can help me Claus

My problem: only the left fuel tank is used by both engines, creating rapidly a fuel imbalance. My settings: - boost pumps: ON - Crossfeed: AUTO - Transfer pumps: AUTO (the checklist indicates "transfer pumps: ON but there is no such option: options are only: OFF / AUTO / OVERRIDE). I checked this forum for similar postings and saw recommendations to load the plane after loading a default FSX airplane, as well as avoiding using the CTR+E to start engines. I also have installed the various update to the airplane. Does anyone have a recommendation for me ? thanks Jean-Marc

I sure hope that you are not serious about leaving FDE development. You've been a major contributor and those of us with some idea of what kind of work you do would be so disappointed. If you look at the people who are doing the real harsh complaining, you can recognize them as often being rude and untempered in other forums. I suggest that you not give them the credit of taking seriously. Some don't realize that flight simming is on the wane as it is. MS is really done with it and XP also struggles to widen its market. Third-party developers are few, and It would be great if we supported each other and pointed out what we would like to see done without all of the unneces…
