I can't give any major details as of yet... but soonHere is what is being worked on -Bell/Textron 430, 407, 690 ( Bell/Agusta )EC 135, 145 BK117and a few others - all with VCs, perhaps even APs - note they are still several months out - But I went ahead and paid for the rest of my rotary-wing ticket just so I could better test them out - Note there will be NO 206 Airfiles here - the group has decided if we cant get the dynamics right - then we will not bother - Eye candy is nice - but if it flies like crud - why bother... right?Richard GreenVATUSA4Events and VA Director

Is it possible to convert a '98 helo to 2k2? If so, how? Thanks in advance!!!!!

WEll at least to me they are awesome. Great startup and shutdown. I found them in a Dauphin package at simviation. The sound set is by Manuel Gonzalez. Here is an excerpt from the sound readme: (all credit goes to Manuel Gonzalez, the sound system to the best of my knowledge is his copyright)STARTING- When starting the helicopter, the RPM must be 0 for starter to function.- To prepare for helicopter start-up

Does anybody know what happened to him? He hasn't released any choppers in a while, and I really liked his birds. Hope he's still around. :)

My French sucks, but I had to post a quick note after finally digging into this bird again. When Antti's Dauphin first came out, I spent a somewhat frustrating couple hours with it, and finally got it to get off the ground! (yay!!???) Since then, I hadn't really fiddled with it until now.Tonight I downloaded the updated version (1.1) and proceeded to really dig into the docs. It took me about an hour to get my controls sorted out and assigned via dauphin.cfg hacks (my setup is: gameport CH Combat Stick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals), and then another hour to figure out the autopilot functions. I was able to do a (mostly) autopilot-coupled approach to the SJC ILS 30L - I …

Is there a way to reverse control axises? So far it's great, other than having really tiny print...Glad someone finally did a helicopter with this much detail, and it's not all that bad on the frames either.

Just completed (well, sorta) leg 1 of my trip back to California from Meigs Field in the Dauphin, and, man, was I sweating! Bad fuel management on my part called for me to divert to the nearest field. Fortunately, my wife and a friend of ours spotted Norton Municipal (Kansas) off our port side and I promptly set up an emergency descent and approach on the grass strip that was, fortunately, heading into the wind. While we were on short final the number one engine flamed out, then just as we were flaring for touch down, right next to the fuel pumps at Norton, the number two engine flamed and we touched down a bit rough, but thankfully, were only about 10 feet off the gro…

I don't understand it. I fly about 60 miles, shutdown the chopper, restart after about 15-20 minutes, take-off as normal, except the torque pedals don't work any longer. They're just completely locked up! Does anyone have any ideas? I've already deleted the yaw line in the Dauphin.cfg after the lockup, but that didn't work. I reinserted the line and it's still locked up. I've also deleted the FS2002.cfg file. I read a couple of posts about including a set of start-up and shut-down wavs for the Dauphin; however, there was no mention as to how exactly to incorporate this into the sound.cfg that Antti says not to modify. If anyone out there has successfully implemented this, would you please tell me how you were able to do it?Thanks again."Learn from your parents' mistake...use birth control."(I M A UCLA) BruinAddict *:-*DemetriousAsus A7V266 MBAthlon XP 1600+ (@ 1.53)512MB PC2100 DDRVisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 (Detonator 29.42 WHQL)NEC MultiSync E1100+ 21"SoundBlaster Live! of those buttons/switches...even the ones not covered in the manual. I know not all are necessary for successful flight within FS; however, I like to simulate full start-ups. After all, that's exactly what attracted me to the Dauphin in the first place.Thanks in advance."Learn from your parents' mistake...use birth control."(I M A UCLA) BruinAddict *:-*DemetriousAsus A7V266 MBAthlon XP 1600+ (@ 1.53)512MB PC2100 DDRVisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 (Detonator 29.42 WHQL)NEC MultiSync E1100+ 21"SoundBlaster Live! So I couldnt sleep last night, after finally getting the Dauphin to work properly. I decided to make another test flight, x-country, using SB.I got all set up at KSNA with plans to fly to KAVX. SNA_V_APP was online. I filed IFR direct at 4000ft. Needless to say APP was suprised to see a helo filing IFR. I probably would have normaly filed VFR but forgot to hit the little button on the flightplan.I took off in mostly clear skies, picked up the SXC vor (strange event on that, VOR wouldnt lock on, but LOC did) and off I went. About halfway to AVX I was in the soup big time. The metar at AVX was showing 1/4 vis fog mist you name it. I manuvered in over the island, but I…

Hi All,Thanks to Antti Pankkonen and his excellent helicopter w/ working autopilot I am once agian enjoying helicopter flying. However it seems a little difficult to hand fly. I have been used to Ian Steadfast's Dauphin which [imho] think is an excellent flight model. do I need to learn a greater finesse or are there any tweaks i can do to make it a little less sensitive?Thanks in advance,Tom

I noticed that a few people seem to have either given up on the Dauphin working with the Microsoft Sidewinder or they are currently frustrated. So I figured I would pass out my completly funtional .cfg info. number_of_devices=1;cyclic_pitch=1,Y;cyclic_roll=1,X;yaw=1,rZ;collective=1,SLIDER0;force_trim_release=1,BUT1;beep_trim=1,POVO;snap_view=2,POVO;pan_view=1,POV0;toggle_landing_gear=1,BUT7;toggle_cycl_fd=1,BUT5;toggle_coll_fd=1,BUT3;toggle_coupler=1,BUT4;go_around=1,BUT2;brakes=1,BUT6;low_realism_setting;
