I finally got the dauphin up and running and everything was working fine. Then last night I added the gps_export.dll to my modules folder and after that my pedals don't work when the joystick is disabled. I am not sure that the gps_export.dll had anything to do with the pedals but that was the only change I made to the chopper. I've done some research here on the forum and I see that some people have had this experience also, but I did't see any resolution. Any ideas?? I am using the 1.1 version of the dauphin. I go through the start up procedure and my joystick and collective come alive but the pedals... This is my config: CH Products - F16 Fighterstick; Pro Throttle;…

Mark Evans (a car is (re)born is currently building a chopper (pre-manufactured) on 'a chopper is born'. I'm not really a rotorhead fan (due to the limited view of monitor; maybe vr will change this) but this is a technical treat.

As Director of Operations for Cougar Mountain Helicopters, I feel that I should advise the simulator community that there is a Bell 412 Griffon helicopter marketed as being for the Virtual Canadian Air Force that has recently been released by Curtis 'Tim' Jones that is actually an aircraft that has been stolen from Cougar Mountain Helicopters. Curtis Jones is a currently member of the Virtual Canadian Air Force (and perhaps other VA's), and I certainly hope that they would not be very proud of his actions. The files contained in this aircraft (first marketed as one of Jordan Moore's aircraft on simviation.com, and presently marketed as a Dwight Blades aircraft on fsplanet.…

Since my FS2K2 is currently not working, I've moved back over to Fly!2 for the duration and decided to hop into one of their 407s. I have all the Realism options ticked for the helos, but left the two options for the dampening gain at default (about midway on the scale). Does anyone have any optimum settings for those two functions? Just curious....... I should probably leave well enough alone. :-roll I can take off and land the Fly!2 407s much more successfully than I can handle the FS2K2 choppers (any of them) even after weeks of practice. Yet they (the 407s) feel the way I would expect a chopper to feel -- they aren't EASY, but they are more controllable for me. H…

I read about people using a joystick with rudder pedals to fly helis. I have a Sidewinder Force Feedback PRO joystick and some old CH Products rudder pedals (both non-USB). Can I use them together in FS2002 and Windows 98? I tried just plugging everything in, but the control panel says my joystick has no power. Thanks, Tom

ACTIVE CAMERA PRO has its update to 1.3The head latency function has been improved (more natural head movement when turning). Now the virtual cockpit is panning slightly to the left/right.The user can now move the eye point up or down when in external view (not realistic but useful for spotters and aircraft designers). The ground turbulence and head latency can be turned on and off via a keyboard shortcut (useful while flying). Its a realy nice addon because I think its somekinde of"virtual feeling in the butt" :)regards, Hobbes

Calling all rotor and seized-wing pilots! If you'd like to fly online, AVSIM has a mutiplayer server running 24/7! To find out more, visit the Bush Net forum and check out the anchored topics:http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID79If you're at all familiar with VATSIM or IVAO, Bush Net uses a similar server along with Squawkbox and Roger Wilco. However, unlike full-blown ATC networks, Bush Net is more relaxed and doesn't have air traffic controllers. Just think of it as world-wide Unicom.Of course, since this is world-wide multiplayer, timing can sometimes be tricky. Most people seem to be online on Friday nights and weekends. Since Bush Net is still n…

Hi,Some of you may already know who I am, althought I don't get much chance to post topics on this board very often. I created the Bell Uh-1h Huey that gets referenced from time to time around here. Well, after I was done with the helicopter I decided to put together a website for the helicopter community. Something that I thought would be good enough to begin bringing the helicopter pilots back together (since the loss of Keith's Virtual Helipad), and give developers a better audience, with a better means of feedback from their users. Anyway, even though I haven't publicized it much its starting to take off a little (no pun intended) so I thought I would let you guys…

I would appreciate any and all helpful tips on how to properly land this thing because right now i am about ready to give up!! P.S. which are the best add-on choppers for fs2002??

A blonde pilot decided she wanted to learn how to fly a helicopter. She wentto the airport, but the only one available was a solo-helicopter. TheInstructor figured he could let her go up alone since she was already apilot for small planes and he could instruct her via radio. So up the blonde went. She reached 1,000 feet and everything was goingsmoothly. She reached 2,000 feet. The blonde and the Instructor kept talkingvia radio. Everything was running smoothly. At 3,000 feet the helicoptersuddenly came down quickly! It skimmed the top of some trees and crashlanded in the woods. The Instructor jumped into his jeep and rushed out tosee if the blonde was okay.As he reached th…

Hey all-A few weeks ago I went over to the American Helicopter museum located in West Chester, PA, USA (near Philadelphia) and enjoyed an afternoon looking over their collection. I found out they are having their annual Rotorfest in October (more info on their site), and took some photos of the place.I thought you bunch of rotorheads might like to see them while the forum is quiet...enjoy!Derekhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d7e74bd629c4e45.jpgThe lineup outside the main entrance...http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d7e7479621bc9cb.jpgand a view of the main exhibit hall.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d7e745c61cb03b6.jpgI know what I would like to …
