Has anyone tried the Perfectflight Whiskey" Model Cobra just released? I paid my money two days ago. After three emails asking where it is, I have yet to receive the link. Anyone having a similar problem? If you have been able to download the bird, what is your reaction. Fingerprint 32

I always wanted to fly helicopters but bought a Cessna instead.Cessna is gone, and my income and medical went the way of other things in retirement. So, here I am flying helicopters (Ranger and Dauphin) with a keyboard. Being impulsive, I ran all over town looking for a joystick and some CH Pedals, but no joy.I can take-off, hover, and land with the keyboard, but somehow, I get into trouble and just can't seem to "get accurate" enough to land between two houses as one poster said. I want to try doing that.Question: Is keyboard input similar to joystick input insofar as the "delay" is concerned? I don't mind flying with a keyboard, actually, and it makes small "tweak" input…

Just in case none of your have noticed, MS has decided to included an R22 in this version of FS. It would appear to possibly have a true flight model of a piston engine helicopter as well, i can't wait to see screenshots. Any thoughts? I thought for sure this forum would have been buzzing.Brent

Hi Folks!I got a new flight control system for xmas: The Saitek x45 flight control system! Horray!I've been using the x35/x36T for over 4 years and was almost completely satisfied. There were a few things, which i didn't really like about it: The calibration troubles i've had for thousand times, and the fact, that saitek doesn't provide drivers for Windows XP for the old x35 system. Now exactly these problems have been treated with the new one. It calibrates to outstandingly correct, that you have no problem to perform a perfectly stable hover for 15 minutes. And the rudder function integrated in the throttle is perfectly centered as well, so you don't have to adjust your …

Hi everyone, I would really apreciate you help with my problem.I had no problems with the previous Dauphin, but with this one I've been having problems.I followed all the instructions provided to configure the dauphin.cfg file. My Joystick (MS SIdewinder Precision Pro)is set up correctly in it, along with the correct axis. THe problem is, when I disable the joystick and open the pedestal view, my controls go crazy. My cyclic and rudder axis become inverted. If I apply right rudder the helo yaws to the left, and if I apply foward cyclic the chopper pitches up!The Dauphin.CFG is in the a/c directory, and sincerly I dont know what else to try to fix it.Here is a copy of my d…

Yet another Dauphin situation! When i attach my ServInfo button to the panel so that i may fly it on Vatsim, i find an empty spot and attach it and save just as i have with ALL my aircraft. When i start FS2002 Pro and get in the cockpit i see my button attached where i put it but find all my other gauges in a stack in upper left corner of the windscreen on the centerpost.Nice neat stack, still functioning from what i can tell but not on the panel! Any clues or suggestions would be great help! This is on both the latest versions and i even did a fresh download to try it again with same results.I now have 2 Bond versions and 1 of the other with this situation! Thanx in advance…

Hi all,Has the transition down function; or the way you work it, changed since since the last version? I installed vsn 2 & found that the heli-link version worked as previous, except the TDwn function no longer works. It arms, but doesnt slow the heli below 40kias. The manual doesnt suggest any change to this part of the autopilot. Also, has anyone had problems with the dauphin.cfg for the Bond helicopters version? I mean anyone who has the heli-link version working. I had the Bond one working, but then foolishly changed something & the change seemed to affect unrelated parameters. So i copied the Dauphin.cfg from the heli link machine to the bond machine. Doesnt w…

Hi everyone,I have a quick question about the Dauphin. I'm using the latest version of the Dauphin in fs2002 and lately I have noticed that when I switch to the pedistal view it seem like the autopilot take full control of the helicopter and it start moving on it's own, but the auto pilot isn't turned on in any way. I do have the joystick disabled and the dauphin.cfg configured correctly. Also if I shut the autopilot off after I use it and enable the joystick I can't get the engines to respond to my throttle ( using Saitek X45 ). I find this all very confusing as it is doing the same thing to the older versions too. Could it be my joystick drivers?Any help is appreciated …

I'm slowly working my way thru learning how to fly the Dauphin. I've got everything concerning the autopilot working pretty well so far, however, I have a question regarding climb settings. What I want to happen is have the Dauphin climb to a pre-selected altitude and then level off. The manual states that 'Preselected altitude is displayed on the FDC unit and it can be changed by clicking on the display'. I see where there is a display at the top of the FD (with four boxes/orange numbers) but I'm not sure if that's what Antti is referring to. AS and HDG are clicked on (green), ALT is off and VS is on. I've got the climb set to 500fpm and that works fine but I can't figur…
