great to meet you avsim.net admin found your site via yahoo but it was hard to find and I see you could have more visitors because there are not so many comments yet. I have found site which offer to dramatically increase traffic to your website http://xrumerservice.org they claim they managed to get close to 1000 visitors/day using their services you could also get lot more targeted traffic from search engines as you have now. I used their services and got significantly more visitors to my website. Hope this helps :) They offer most cost effective backlinks Take care. Jason

  3. When anyone asks Microsoft if Flight will have ATC, jets, world coverage, NAVAIDs, etc it's like you're talking to a brick wall. The closest thing I've seen to an actual response is: "All information that is public is posted at www.microsoftflight.com. If it's not there, I can't tell you. :-)". I couldn't even find one CES video on YouTube where someone asked one of the many questions we all have. Not a question being asked where the response was "No comment", but not even someone asking. The MS Facebook page is littered with specific feature questions that are obviously being read but not answered. . .For sure the questions are being asked and they are begin ignored.…

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2399885,00.aspI saw this article today. I never really comment on this but I must say this is so dissapointing. I was hoping for more (I will hold out to see if the dlcs that they produce later are worth it).Judging by the prices of the DLCS in the article 19.99 + 14.99 + 7.99 = 42.97 so after taxes might as well say 43.00 for an uncomplete game and two dlcs that were part of the normal FSX game.I think I might just take my chances and spend the extra 30 dollars for X-plane and give the 3rd party developers the extra money for extra content.

  5. Does anyone know if AI is included with the initial Hawaii release?

In the past year or two, racing simulations have taken a beating on consoles. In response studios are turning to the PC where they can create the type of racing simulations they want, without the creative or financial constraints large bloated publishers were placing on them. The former developer of the Need for Speed "Shift" series has done just that, but has even gone one better! The community "buys" into the cost of development via membership. This funds the project. In return, those that donate (depending on amount) can attend actual development meetings, have access to builds of the game, or just have their voice heard in the way the sim is created. So far th…

  7. Listen to the last video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0XuoC79IKoYand hear the guy say what FLIGHT really is.Go to 3 min 28 sec and listen and then you know this isn't a FSX succesor in any way.Sad , but true.

  8. I know many will want to focus on Hawaii right now, but here is a good question in case there are some folks that want to look ahead to what may be available beyond Hawaii. Perhaps Microsoft may read your comments.Based on what we know about Flight, what future scenery editions and/or supporting aircraft would you like to see Microsoft or a third party developer(s) produce this year?

One thing I keep hearing over and over and over is that Flight is "arcade" and not a true "flight sim", yet the reasons why people say this has me very perplexed. One of the main reasons I see people saying this is the gold rush or hoops course. Its a mission you can do, or you dont need to. If the existence of missions disqualifies Flight from being a "flight sim" then you must also disqualify FSX and FS2004. Another one is that Flight "encourages" players to do things you should not do in real life. Again, FSX had missions that asked you to do things like FLOWER BOMB A NUKE CARRIER. Again, FSX is disqualified? One of the big ones I hear is "Flight does not have ATC".…

I am optimistic about ‘Flight’.I think that it has the potential to take everything to do with armchair flying to a totally new level. Both as a game, which can have various levels of complexity, and as a simulation which also can have various levels of complexity. It seems to me that when there is the opportunity to make revenue by expanding a core product in any direction required by the user base then the possibilities are endless.Having said that, I am totally sympathetic to everyone who has expressed disappointment that there will not be a FS11. However, it is also not too hard to understand that the ‘Flight’ marketing model has the potential to provide Microsoft wi…

Lately when we, as a flightsim community, talk about the successor to FSX .. we talk about Flight and XPX. Why doesn't FlightGear enter the discussion more frequently. I believe that flightsim has great potential ... do you?

  18. It is generally agreed that MS will not introduce Flight with an empty Flight store. Assuming that MS will have expansion packs at Flight's release time, how useful would Beta testing be if it did not include testing the expansion packs? Is the beta only on just the free demo or more?

Just noticed that MS is trying to hire a Program Manager for Flight (posted on their Facebook page). There have been rumors of people leaving MS, as well as other internal conflicts. Maybe a replacement posting? Seems late in the game to hire for this position... Anyways if someone is looking for a job...http://www.microsoft...__MSStudiosJobsOne of the main points of the job description--"Drive our DLC merchandising strategy, overseeing our pricing, bundling, and promotions, to maximize our revenue potential, coordinated with our overall messaging."

I've read that Microsoft does scan this forum, so to bring things a bit into balance, I'd like to say: Thank you, Microsoft, for...1. ...giving us FS and all those years of pleasure.2. ...creating MS Flight: even though we don't yet really know what it will bring us, it's something new. You didn't have to do anything at all when it comes to flight simming/gaming, but you did, so thank you for that.No matter how you look at it, things can ONLY get better, not worse (really!), so... thanks!

... FLIGHT will most certainly have showed it's true potential, quality, and a proof of concept to be followed by thecompetitors, if any real competitors remain....I am starting to figure out where from most of the negative posts on FLIGHT may well stem from...Ah! Again, just in case you haven't read other posts of mine, I am not a beta tester, and while I have been a long time user ofELITE, MSFS, and xplane 8/9, but mostly a Condorsoaring and PS1 (future PSX addict) fan, I must admit that I can onlyunderstand MS's move, and support it.I'de rather have what I am already able to see in youtube, than to have to restart and mess around with a myriad of add-ons...If Apple onc…

It is only about six years ago, that the great Emperor in Redmond declared war on FS9 and made a few new decrees about the next generation of the Emess Flight Simulator. Tempers were short, third party developers up in arms, even us lowly painters were wittering on about bumpmaps and speculars as if they were voodoo. As a one time avid supporter of a small group of bushies who loved a little place in the PacNW region of the top left corner, I was often drawn to writing vindictive prose about the subject because small user-founded interest groups would have to change their ways. In my case it was the Emma Field crowd who were being pushed out because FSX made it impossibl…

  23. I was installing a patch to my FS 2000 PRO installation and took the time to read the included text document. Here are some quotes from that document that I just had to share:As with all of our major new product releases, the product team has been closely monitoring the Flight Simulator newsgroups, Web sites, and forums to gauge what our users are experiencing with the product. From these sources and a number of emails from enthusiastic Flight Simulator fans, we have addressed some important issues that we felt we needed to provide to our customers on a priority basis. We are pleased to offer this additional update, which will work for both Flight Simulator 2000 and Fligh…

Setting aside Flight for a moment, rumors from IGN (respected source) are surfacing that the next version of Xbox will block all pre-owned games. I know this doesn't fit in exactly with Flight, but it has merit in my view that Microsoft and other game companies are waging a war against the consumer (the days of any goodwill are over). It's not a new issue, but Microsoft appears to be holding the spear. That means no more second hand sales of games and constant bombardment of DLC and microtransactions. Will this spill over to third parties and modders being blocked from adding new content? My guess is someday it will happen...http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/121…

  25. Having watched Austin's latest XP10 presentation several things have been made clear about what he's doing. They are either good, bad, or indifferent depending on how you look at things.I'm curious to see how everyone feels. Obviously, most on the XP board love it so there was no point in starting this there. The contrast however can be drawn directly with what FLIGHT will likely be (i.e. covering the world) and how it accomplishes that and what we want to see technology wise going forward.Laminar Research set out to make a "plausible" world but not one that models the current world we live in (his words, not mine). From his description given, this means roads will be the…
