I was thinking about rain tweak as I couldn't find any info on P3D forum about their intention to improve rain. P3Dv2 default rain looks similar to FSX DX10. Maby someone knows if it's possible to tweak the rain, at least to achieve effect like with SteveFX fixer?

I am at a continual loss with P3D. After a complete reinstall of Windows and FSX, I thought that perhaps now would be a great time to see if I could get P3D to actually work properly, once and for all. After two previous installs to try and get this sim to work properly, I have to admit defeat. I STILL can't get Vsync to work properly. I have tried so many combinations with Nvid insp, without Nvid insp, different cfg settings, with and without cfg entries, with Aero on and with Aero off, that I've gone dizzy. I forgot to add, I've tried different drivers too. I've also tried D3D overrider, which I thought would have cured the problem, but without success. The last straw …

I recently installed EZDOK 1.1.7 and in P3D 2.2 everything works just fine, only in P3D 1.4 I'm having some problems. When I set up the cameras and cycle through them from the EZDOK panel, all positions are projected as they are set up, but when I cycle through them with the programmed cycle buttons several cameras show a whole different position. Does anyone know what I can do to make the cameras project the right position when cycling through them with the cycle buttons on my yoke?

Hello All, I have been indecisive on purchasing FTX Global since it's release and have a few questions that maybe some of you can answer that would probably help my decision (and others) on going forward with purchasing FTX global or leaving it alone. Hello Fliers, For those who have Rex 4 and ASN, when you load them on your system then set the settings how you like do you have to click on the icons to start them each time or will they load automatic? Cheers Lamar

Awesome addon - has to be the best - but I'm having troble with the terrain clashing into runway 10 L. You can see grass glitch into it. Tried changing the mesh settings in FSX, no help. I have FTX global, too, and that and the libraries are up to date. There is no NC patch, right? Thanks.

Hello all Simmers, Thought I would turn to the forums for help with my aggravating issue. I just recently upgraded to a new system. Here are my specs. -AMD FX-8350 4.0Mhz -GTX 760 4Gb -8Gb ram Tried FSX with it at first, and never worked out. At large airports like LAX with default everything, I still got 15-fps. So today I decided to get Prepar3d. Everything looks amazing, however, with QWSim 757 at KJFK default scenery, I have 6-fps. Really bums me out. I though that the upgrade to the new system and new sim would end my FPS problems. Here are also my Settings. Scenery= Terrain Settings- all less than half Scenery object- Sparse water detail- medium…

Haven't flown a lot lately but getting back into it and in anticipation of the A2A Cherokee I am think of getting another Orbx airport add on for PNW. I have Darrington, Orcas, Concrete and Israel Farm. I did pick up Harvey in a recent sale but finding it a bit of a FPS hit. .( nice airport though) .thinking about Skagit or Jefferson to complete a circuit. Any must have airports I have missed in the general area? Starks looks real nice but that is too far away for my time limited short hops between airports., unless I buy two airports in the area? (Although my budget probably won't extend that far)

Hey guys, I recently deleted my FSUIPC.ini file and let it rebuild itself but forgot that my Ultimate Traffic entry was in there which makes UT2 start automatically when P3D starts... i cant for the life of me find where it was on the net!!! anyone have an idea of the entry that should be made that starts the program to save doing it manually? I just bought Rex 4, and i already have Rex Essentials. I don't know if i'm supposed to take out the Rex Essential textures before I load the Rex 4 ones in. Does anyone know what to do, and sorry if i'm not being clear about my situation. Thanks Trevor

I'm new to SIM so I was looking for an upgrade scenery and waht most members recommend was FTX global or GEX, but looks like FTX was more popular. So I've visit ORBX forum and checked screenshot from members topic, I was then surprise to see high detailed pictures but wasn't realistic looking it was like cartoonish looking or someone that take a real picture then apply a paint filter to it in Photoshop. Is it just me or it's because I'm used to real scenery when flying? I also found someone in the forum talking about rendered scenery like GEX and FTX global vs photo real scenery like megascenery earth and fsgenesis and that might be the reason it's not real looking …

Except for some minor irritations that need work my overall review of P3D is : Stunning! I was pretty well satisfied with my much-modified FSX except that it was always prone to the occasional crash. After patiently waiting for P3D to get some time and updates behind it I finally made the leap and am I ever glad I did. Having issue installing ORBX Perth Jandakot, Caloundra, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay into P3Dv2.2. Flight Sim Store lists all four downloads as compatible with P3dV2.2. Unlike ORBX triple installers, these four just give a selection of either FSX or P3D (no versions) after unwrapping. The installers find the FSX path, but can't find the P3Dv2.2 path. After unwrapping and selecting P3D, the installer says it has found the correct installation files, but next to the path it's blank, i.e. no "Lockheed Martin/Prepar3d/Orbx", etc. It's just blank. So when you hit the install button a warning comes up saying "No C/Orbx found". It's weird. All other ORBX AUS sceneries liste…

When selecting multiple cores, is it best to leave "0" (zero) unchecked and use the rest, i.e. 1 through 8 etc.? Thanks in advance

Don't forget that P3D v2.2 is also modeled for water immersion, as well as flight! I am presently cruising the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence River, between the shores of Ontario, Canada, and New York, U.S.A. The wave action..is literally that, against the hull, and my bow is creating waves AND spray careening off that bow. P3D has great marine activity effects. The stern is creating a twin prop mist, and the beautiful wake fans out into the waves astern. What I am doing, and with what watercraft, would probably (also the area is a vacation premium magnet...) siphon $1,000.00 or more dollars (with fuel, docking, etc..) a day from my wallet. I tried all morning to purchase Monterey but it seems that The Flightsim Store wants me to enroll in yet another online payment service called eWAY. I don't want to be led like lamb with the rest of the flock to yet another online entrepreneur who wants to make money off of a sale. I have money. There are things I want to buy. Hello I'm planning to buy the licence for P3D but I would like to know the results you're having. After about a month back on P3D v2.2 I am not certain that I have the "perfect" settings needed to make me %100 happy.....Here are my hardware & addons i7 3930k OC@ 4.3 GTX780 16GB 1600MHz RAM ASN, REX TD4, FTX GLOBAL+VECTOR, FSDT JFK/LAX/LSGG Few things I would like to discuss.... I can only have one or the other, not both, so which do you think is best, putting P3D on my SSD or putting scenery on it? My initial thought was to have the scenery on it for faster loading, but I'm interested in hearing from others who may have crossed this bridge already. Thanks!!

I have tried forcing Supersampling to work with prepar3D through the CCC, radeonpro, and the CFG File but none seem to work? This is really weird since supersampling works fine for every game and sim on my PC. Is anyone else having this problem with their version. I am using the Academic License.
