Hi all. I have a dilemma, I have ordered a GTX 770 4GB to run P3D (Currently have GTX 560Ti). However, I have been reading around and it looks i may be better getting the 2GB version, due to OOMs (especially on FSX) Now, I do not intend to SLI therefore will only be using one monitor. Should I cancel and order the 2GB or stick with the 4GB version? Kind regards

As I get near to the installation I get a message saying c:Fsxorbx\etc etc can not be found. As the install should be in C\FSX\ORBX what is going on? Sorry, should read. " as I get near to the installation end"

As orbx have 50 percent off today I was thinking about purchasing FTX England and Scotland, As I already own global can anyone tell me if these two regions work well together?

Is there a P3D update for the Lionheart Piper Pacer or does the old installer work? I purchased it from Flight1 and they no longer have it on the Flight1 site. The Flight1 link on Lionheart's web page is also broken. Lionheart's site says it ready for P3D. Anyone know if I can use the old installer or do I need a new one. Thanks!

Well now...just a minute ago, I thought to see what ORBX's CYSE looks like in FSX. So..I fired the old girl up..and guess what? At the same airport...same parking location...same everything...where I had 27-30 FPS in P3D v2.2, I only generated 14-17 FPS in FSX! So what does that suggest...well..that LM REALLY leveraged the code...jeez...I lost half my FPS with the same exact scenery package with it running in FSX. I never would have expected that, let me tell ya! Back to the FSX flight...to see what else will be different.... Hello Everyone I've just got Prepar3d and the scenery looks very good for generic stuff, just followed the A3 from Guilford area which is where i come from to Portsmouth, my question is will the ORBX scenery improve on this, made a mistake and bought the England scenery the other day and it doesn't work yet in version 2.2 but i'am thinking of getting the global from ORBX i will only be flying vfr, am i wasting my money. I have noticed that some of the Orbx titles I have do not have an install option for P3d v2.x Can they be used in P3D v2.x or is that something that hasn't been updated yet? Thanks, Bill

Here I am, right now on pause halfway between 11S (Seiku) and CYSE (Squamish) at 9,500 feet in the Carenado SkyMaster 377 Turbo. ASN is giving a fabulous and varied cloudscape today, which has me with my .cfg file as posted (and one addition, I clicked on Vegetation Shadows cast and receive) happily flying along my flight plan at 22-34 FPS (really pronounced multi-layered cloud with good shadow play on terrain/mountains and its vegetation (wonderful!) and will eventually land at Squamish. I am in the Robinson B22. helicopter.shooting down the coast...and found some houses and other buildings sitting in mid air over hills, ect. I went to 1M, and all houses and buildings along the coast have landed back where they should be....on the ground! Just a tip...

G'day all. I decided the challenge of the BB Airbus might just be worth trying but I have hit a brick wall. I feel I have carefull read the Tutorial, loaded the FMC/MCDU correctly, installed the correct FSUIPC version and fueled up correctly. But I can not get the Austo Pilot to engage and very soon my Airbus goes round in ever decreasing circles and returns to the ground. CRASH. Some have said they have got this bird flying in P3D v2.2, so could you tell me how please? Thanks Mac

This is a very boring video of a test flight taking off from Kodiak, AK in the Milviz 310R in Prepar3D v2.2... That is, it's boring after the rather scary takeoff! :blush: In any case, focus on the frame rates with both GTN units doing their thing. They add nearly zero load on the sim, which is truly remarkable! Best viewed full-screen in 1080p, recorded with NVidia's Shadowplay.

...folks, I nominate Orbx's CYSE Squamish as the all-time CHAMP of adding a custom scenery to your flight sim world. This is one amazing piece of kit. From the wildlife roaming around the airport boundaries, that LOOK for the first time, like the real deal, as well as moves in animation as the 'real deal'...... All I can say..is that if you check every feature off, on the set up program...you will be in a world of immersion, that you have not seen from ANY prior Orbx release. Simply amazing to just at the start, shut down the spinning prop..and LOOK AROUND at the tons of animation (people flow, creature flow, grass/tree flow...) Absolutely, positively-----stu…

Well, after much testing, I've finally got it for my box. EVGA limiter set to 30. Unlimited frame rate AffinityMask=14 Bufferpools=0 NI=1/2 refresh rate I think I'm good to go. Mark

I've been dealing with this problem since FSX, after that in P3D 1.4 and now again in P3D 2.2 and I'm getting so damn tired of it, the pilot eye-point camera that stutters heavely. I can get rid of it for a couple of minutes at the most, by reloading the scenery library, but that resets ATC and I loose IFR etc so that's not an option and it keeps comming back and increases over time, making the camera movement increasingly slower. All other camera movements are fine, I got a decent FPS (30-40), Plenty of CPU power, GPU power and plenty of free RAM and P3D runs smooth, only the one camera has this problem. I tried fixing it with EZDOK and than the camera movements are…

This morning I had a popup on my desktop from nVidea with a link to upgraded GeForce drivers. I downloaded and installed it and it made quite a difference. Yesterday it took me 90 seconds just to boot up FSX and get to the selection screen. This morning, after installing the new drivers, I'm booting up in 15 seconds and after selecting an aircraft and airport ready to fly in another 20 seconds nVidea leaves a link on your desktop to optimize games. When you click on it it searches for your installed games and optimizes them. However not all games are supported. While it optimized FSX it would not optimize my FS2004 or Trainsim installations. What set me over the top was the peasoup green texture Global originally had for my beloved desert's tans and yellows and reds and oranges. I started my cruise aboard the Sirocco GT2 from the mouth of the Squamish River, in B.C. As I headed out into the Bay proper...there was not much water animation, very calm...but as I headed down the coast...about 12 miles...the wind started to pick up..and low and behold, waves started forming upon the water..and in some areas...good-sized swells, causing the hull to move up and down upon them. So...the water in P3D is not canned....but will react to wind speed, and wind direction. Hello, today I installed WOAI into Prepar3d. I did a copy of the prepar3d.exe and named it to fsx.exe and did a normal install with all the packages. But when I am on a Airport like Las Vegas or Frankfurt, there are very less airplanes. The densitiy is on 40%. Do you have any ideas to solve my problem? Thank you!

Hello, I installed some airports (free+pay) but now how can I remove them? The same for the FTX regions... No way to find an unistaller nor an instruction how to remove them. But I don't need 24/7 an VFR airport somewhere in the Rockys if I do some IFR flying around Europe. Anybody some hints on that please? Thanks!

What is the keyboard control sequence? I just docked my GT2 at a dock in CYSE....just wanted to share...the scene is at Dawn..and mind-blowing! WOW! P3D is just as immersive upon the water, as flying over it...and you have GOT to appreciate just what went into Orbx's CYSE, by being at ground/water level..and rubber-necking your head off! With the water settings as Ultra..and all objects as reflective...the scene at the harbor...is absolutely what you'd expect to see in real life.
