I just took off at 11S in Orbx's PNW...with ASN giving a very heavy cloud base and overcast. The sim today at this moment in time is giving me 18-22 FPS. What is totally weird, is that under normal circumstances, whereby the sim is giving up only about 18 or so FPS...I'd get very little, but STILL THERE, micro stutter. Today though...it is as smooth as glass, as I took off out of 11S and did a hard bank (in the Raptor) towards the coast..and then did a fly over of Seiku harbor. I then flew inland at about 500 feet over the mountain tops (I'm in pause right now to post) and with all this heavy cloud (ASN), still have smooth as glass advancing animation. So...I do…

Major rebuild of ftx vector is released. Available to download on flightsimstore for free for current 1.0 users. But beware - from opinions posted on orbx forums I can see that the elevations corrections seem to work with mesh product installed, pilots as a best choice. There is also tool to disable aec for particular airports. List of control panel features: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/74827-vector-11-control-panel-pics-of-options/ To be honest I have not tested it yet because I need to go to work but will inform you afternoon when I get back. Thanks Orbx! Hope it was worth to wait

Help, about a month ago i read about a cloud based program that was similar to AivlaSoft's EFB. I use SimBrief and I thought that this product would be perfect, keeping the majority of the program off of my computer. It could be used on a second computer and like the other EFB, it would show your aircraft as it taxied through the airport. I thought that I had bookmarked it but...................

Found an older thread with a link to a German page.. Using the settings within at the following link I finally have smooooth flying around 30fps+ in the CYSE area. German Page Link: http://tinyurl.com/nlxawl7 See my screenshot here: http://i.imgur.com/hqOzYs6.jpg One other shot at slightly different SIM time: http://i.imgur.com/bi4CT32.jpg Perhaps I was doing something wrong before, but this German post finally put all the pieces together for me!

Is it the Medium, or the High setting for Texture Size? I was running with Medium (1024) but saw someone else running with 2048. Can you benefit visually from running ORBX-G at 2048?

I gonna make this thread fast and to the point.: Please click on my System Spec's...to see what I own for a CPU/GPU combo. I run my system in HT. I always have. I have always had the best graphic results with the CPU running '8' cores. I now claim my system gives me blur-free textures and updating graphics. I can climb to FL450, or skim the trees at over 500 knots...and the forming and NON-popping uptake of Orbx Global is mind-blowing! Totally clear....completely formed, even at 500 knots, tree-top.... P3D's coding is not the issue for blurred textures. Orbx products global and regional are NOT the issue for poor texture update or performance. Nope.…

Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my p3d as you can see in the screenshots. I have FTX installed and some airports addons. I always test the program after every addon installed and they worked fine. After like a week without opening p3d, i tried a flight this weekend and when it loaded the terrain was all messed up. I tried so far removing p3d config, terrain and scenery config and had no luck solving this. Do you have any idea about a way to fix this without re installing (i have addons I don't want to re install allover again)?

Hi, after I installed the some planes and scenerys i see very strange effect. I don`t know what and when has changed, but for now it`s present in all planes in dirt and in water (some black and square smoke).I don`t have backup my default effects folder and i don`t n know specifically what it is - it`is some effects (fx_wake,fx_spray,fx_tchdrt ....) or some effects texture file? Also try a variety of graphics settings but nothing seems to help. Please help my, what this wrong file is and where I am get it download (original), because it would be very complicated again install whole simulator? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46420127/2014-6-20_wrong%20dirt%20eff…

Just bought this aircraft and installed it in both FSX, and in P3D2 using the EMT. In FSX everything works fine, but the graphics on the VC are very blurry (can't read the instruments). In P3D2 via EMT everything seems to work fine, graphics are very good, but there are no engine sounds. Sounds in the cockpit are fine - switches, pulling the parking brake, etc. - are OK, but the engines are silent - from both inside the cockpit and external view. Does anybody else have any experience with this aircraft in P3D2? Another question: is this the best Beech 18 for FSX / P3D available? I used to have the FS9 version of Milton Shulpe's freeware Beech 18, which was very goo…

I used a variety of addons for FSX like FEX and FSWaterConfig - are there any textures for P3D you guys recommend? The water looks pretty good by itself and it almost appears as if there are waves when you're on floats... pretty neat.

I am installing ftx global for fsx on my system. In the readme file net.framework4.0 is required to be installed prior to ftx global. My system has net.framework4.5. Is 4.5 ok? Thinking that it should be an upgrade I went ahead and ran the installation wizard. When fsx runs it look like it always has , no difference in scenery.

I am writing this to say, which developers will go the Netflix route with P3D and which will go the Blockbuster route? I remember when Netflix first started and everyone thought it was a terrible idea. I mean, who is actually going to wait for movies to come in the mail? Are you kidding? Blockbuster swore that it would not work. People would rather come into our stores and pay high prices for a video/dvd and return it the next day or pay a high late fee. And to top it off, when a really good movie comes out, we'll get 3 copies! Along comes Netflix offers the same thing essentially, but with a little upgrade. Lo and behold, the idea starts to take form and now we can't…

There are claims that the Duke is compatible with P3Dv2. Others (including RealAir) claim it isn't. Still others claim you have to futz around with the name of the P3D executable to get it to work. I tried to install the Duke using the FSX installer, and while the aircraft "kinda" works I discovered a number of visual anomalies including undesirable transparency in parts of the panel, bright bluish strobes positioned in the air off the ends of either wing and above the tail (at night), high draw latency (on either the panel or the aircraft) when switching between VC and spot views, no RXP 530 support (even though it was presented as an option in the config utility), and m…

I have my simulators installed outside drive C. I noticed that after installing P3DV2 on drive D in my C drive, about 11 GB have been allocated, the free space that was previously 99.6 GB after installing P3DV2 went to 88.4 GB. I cleaned the temporary files folder, but the 11GB were not released. P3DV2 leaves remnants of the install mode on drive C, or allocates a paging own space? In case of installation debris, which should be removed automatically inform anyone know where it is so I can remove manually? With P3DV1.4 it does not. João Alfredo

When installing SAK Patch 3 this evening I got the following message when it opened up FTX Central. Region Files Validation Report Custom Files Validation Report FSX File Doesn't Exist D\Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\Texture\Bridge Roads DDS I posted this on the limited users support forum on the official Orbx website but am posting it here too because I might get a quicker response. Do I have to reinstall Global? Do I have to uninstall it first if I have to reinstall it? Noel
