Hi all, I have a perfectly functioning version of P3D V2.2 (except for traffic!) running on a high end computer (i7 4770K, GTX 780 Ti) with Windows 7 professional 64 bit. I recently installed the FTX traffic AU V4.2 onto my system and there are heaps of airliners on the ground (I mainly fly at Melbourne International) but no airliners in the air even with the traffic slider at 100%. Using P3D default traffic there are usually 2 - 3 airliners over passing the airport but I want aircraft on approach or being vectored to land. Does anybody have experience with the FTX freeware traffic on P3D V2? How many aircraft are in the air on your system using P3D d…

I've tested this several different ways, but from what i'm seeing, i get about a 10 fps drop if i have FTX PNW enabled in the scenery library. This on hybrid mode. For example.. running a 40 second Fsmark07 test run: Hybrid mode: 30-34 fps NA mode: 37 fps Hybrid with PNW unchecked: 44 fps This is also with FTXg as well. Has anyone else noticed a drop like this.. i'm assuming this may only be for the area in the PNW (particularly the Seattle area). Purchased Eaglesofts DA42 for P3D and getting stutters so bad the sound even stops. (~1 sec intervals for about 1 sec each time). All other addons work just fine. (i7 3820 @ 4.3 Ghz and GTX780 ti) When trying to log on to the forums it turns out my access has been turned off. So I followed instructions and sent them an Email asking for renew my access on MAY 23rd. Hearing nothing from them in any form I again sent another email 6/2/14. Have they just left us with no support? If I can't get support there has anyone had this problem with DA42 and P3d. The way it is now its not even close to usable. As the title says trying to find my .cfg file for prepa3d? Thought it was under mydocuments folder on the C: drive but cant find it!(my prepar3d is installed to E drive).

I always run my i7-975 4-core in HT, and have used the recommended (for HT operation) 84,242, 254,255 AM settings for optimizing texure loading over up to '7' cores, with 1 left for system administration, etc. Well, I have settled upon a permanent setting of 254, as it has consistently given me great performance in fighting off the blurries. I have been in a flight at 2,800 feet for about 20 minutes, going up the West coastline of Lake St.Clair (Michigan), with great and varied cloud cover...that cover casting many cloud shadows onto the lake surface, and Orbx Global at the coastline...and due west to the horizon. 3d vision not working With p3dv2

I purchased the FTX NRM from the Flight Sim Store. I have tried several times to download and every time , it's a failed download. Ive even disabled Windows Firewall. Any ideas?

Hi all- I use PS exclusively in P3D and was wondering if tesselation has any effect on it. As reviewed here, A detailed relief can be formed only if there are sufficient vertices in the base mesh to depict the new shape. In essence—displacement mapping needs tessellation, and vice versa. ...does the underlying mesh of the PS qualify as the vertices mentioned above? If not, I'd like to set the slider off. I almost always fly in my favorite add on planes, the Realair Beech Duke, Lancair Legacy, Milviz 310, and Airbus X, none of which I believe are native P3D 2. So I was playing with settings trying to figure out what was bottlenecking FPS, and when I switched to some of the stock aircraft, my FPS nearly doubled , which when you're tooling around complex sceneries, makes a big difference between 18-25 fps and 35-50 fps. So my questions is first, what are some recomendations for some nice, FPS friendly add on aircraft? Secondly, is this just a compataibility thing, or do nice add on aircraft just spend that much CPU?

I have been looking for a nice regional airliner for P3DV2 and the selection list is short. I was hoping the PMG J41 would be available by now but it isn't so I have continued to look around. I have searched around and cannot find anything on the Carenado B1900D HD being compatible with P3dv2, does anyone have it and can comment on the what does NOT work? Does anyone have any other suggestions for a plane this size? Thank you

I've successfully managed to install the 2.4m textures from my Playsims Generation X UK Photographic scenery into P3D. The problem is if I try and use the higher res textures ie 1.2m or 0.6m it won't load them properly. You can see them appearing from "top view down" but not ahead or beside the aircraft in flight. It would be nice to use the higher res textures that come with GenX. Anyone else have any tips or ideas please? Thanks Adam

The documentation that is attaching this aircraft is very summarized, so I am having problems with the E50P Carenado Prodigy G1000 I guess this is a modified Garmin 1000 ? because that screen look like a Garmin 1000... Well I have some problems with this, I have a PDF file, talking about this, but only 33 pages I think and with a very fast description. However I would need a better document describing how to use this. I cannot see how to enter manually waypoints? may I configure a VOR/DME arc to fly it? may I program altitudes by tracks? Hi all, I use it with P3D V2.2 and Saitek Pedals. A Carenado C185 works fine. It is not possible to 'turn' the Otter somewhat with the rudder for correct crosswind landing, And, for a 2 minute turn I need a bank angle of 15 deg. The Carenado needs 5 deg. Switching the Otter's yaw damper does not help. Rudder Inputs are 'compensate'd within a Second and have no more influence. Sim realism settings should be as outlined from Aerosoft.Taxiing the Otter works fine. Did I overlook something or is this a problem of the Otter? Anybody who can report that it works? Cheers Rudi

In FTX Central I don't seem to the hybrid mode checkbox when the regions are enabled only when FTXG is ticked. Is that the way it is meant to be? Thanks Bruce

Well i had very very good smoothneeth in FSX using these settings so i gave it a try in P3DV2.2 and for the first time i can minimize the stutter BELOW 24fps. Above 24fps and this is so smooth like i have never seen before. I do have EVGA PrecisionX at 30fps limit but as you can see the fps still jumbs up and down but with great results. Only dowside so far to limiting the fps at 58 in NI is when you undock panels the fps is cut in half but i never do that with GA aircraft anyway. Wow , FSDT CYVR,ORBX PNW Michael

I had MyTraffic working well in P3D but noticed some missing taxiways yesterday. I did some research and found that it was MyTraffic causing it because it alters some of the airports. Now, I have my taxiways back but no traffic. Has anyone found a good traffic solution for P3D 2.2 that works well out of the box?

I just did a flight from KJAX to KOPF and when I arrived at KOPF, I noted that all of the taxiways and the ramp area were grass. The markings were there, but instead of the typical gray color, it was grass. I tried to change texture sets with REX 4 and REX Essential and each time the results were the same. KFLL and KMIA were fine. Could someone else please go to KOPF and see if that is what they are seeing as well? Thanks!

Hi all new to p3d, and I'm having a problem installing my majestic dash 8 into p3dv2.2 I know there is no native installer but I see many people are using it successfully and on the majestic website they say it can be done, with a deselecting a mip map however when I try to install it I get an invalid response message what I have done is point it to my LM directory in the setup instead of fsx put my details in but then nothing any ideas on a fix Thanks

If you can set you monitor refresh rate to 29hz then your stutter problems are over! If some has already posted this sorry! 1. Display setting can be anything you like so long as you can maintain 30FPS. 2. Vsync on, Triple Buffing enabled, target Frame Rate 30 3. In the Nvidia Control panel set you refresh rate to 29hz. NvidiaInspector has nothing to do with this so make sure you are not locking the frame rate or setting 1/2 refresh rate in NvidiaInspector when you this.
