hello just wondered if anyone could throw some light on a situation with P3dv2.2 ,I have Happily used P3d in legacy mode since ver1.4 with no issue and have all-ways achieved approx 30fps,6/7 days ago I clicked on the P3d normal desktop shortcut (by mistake)and found with exactly the same in Sim settings /CFG etc(first thing I checked ) I was achieving approx 20fps,any idea why or how i gain around 10fps in legacy mode or lose 10 fps in normal mode,I have posted this on FSE forum but no response ,wonder why the difference ,this is with a clean install of P3dv2.2,I have repeated this starting in P3d legacy and then in P3d normal mode several time and it does not change…

I (apparently foolishly) bought the professional license for P3D v2. Does this mean I HAVE to buy the higher priced version of the A2A Cherokee? Does it check your P3D version? Having already wasted $140 in my quest for "moral purity" I would hate to have to spend still more.

Hi guys. I installed ORBX PNG wow !!!! Get it now. But if anyone who had it and encountered this please help if you can. When I ran fsx next After installing PNG I had all my other ORBX sceneries installed in the scenery library. None were in there before ? Why would that be? So I then ran FTX Central and I got a Validation report "thing" pop up. Please anyone know what this is and what I could do. I have the latest scenery library ( I think that's it I am at work relying on my memory) installed as well. I installed that today as well. Thanks everyone. Dave Rawlings

It would be great to discuss what users have done to achieve their personal best Vsync settings. Wether its NI or CP to see what really has worked for you the best till this point. Recently I tried the settings from a great topic that was started from Crauchan here. I got amazing Vsync results, however my AA and shimmering where simply intolerable since I wasn't using NI. I needed to go back to NI and take the hit on frames so I can get a good anti-aliasing. I played with my Vsync settings my best Vsync settings are currently: (NI) Adaptive and Force On In the P3D v2.2 menus I have Vsync active and checked triple buffer with unlimated frames. For the past month or so, Prepar3Dv2.2 has been crashing on exit with a "ui.dll" being cited as the faulting module. I've not figured out why this is happening, but at least it only occurs when closing the sim... I can fly for hours and hours without any problems. In fact last week I had the sim running continuously for nearly a full week, having changed aircraft I'm working on and/or reloading user object numerous times... :Thinking:

This is just west of Jefferson County and south of Diamond Point. My mesh is 5m, but I retried at both 10m and 1m with no real difference. A restart did nothng either. I haven't seen anything like this in years and years. Anyone else have anything of the same kind of thing? Kind regards,

I just downloaded the latest GSX ground services for FSX/P3D2, but...even with running as Administrator, it finds my P3D on F:, starts to download/install..and then comes to a halt saying that you must enter a full path with a drive letter...and then dies out. I have my full license for FSX and it is installed in that sim. This is the latest dual installer from the site. Has anybody installed GSX in P3D 2, successfully? How can you enter a driver letter when it is an automatic installer?!?? It is weird. The installer finds my P3D installation...but dies out AS it downloads from their site..and then when it would start to put the files onto my F: drive...it can no lo…

For some reason when I switch planes all my control assignments get reset to the default. Anyone else have this issue?

Was curious if anyone has any information on what items/settings are rendered by the CPU vs what items/settings are rendered by the GPU... For example, in ARMA 3, if you leave shadow settings on low, they are rendered by the CPU. If you set anything higher than that, it moves the process to the GPU. I am curious how much I can crank up on the GPU side of things since the CPU utilization is still relatively inefficient.

Here I am..having continuously flown in Orbx's PNW...in the Carenado Bonanza, for over 2 1/2 hours(!!!!), and no CTD, no freezes...NOTHING. Perfect performance of this 32 bit software. Truly, I see that there is no need to convert to 64 bit, merely to 'overcome' the VAS limit of 32 bits. It was VAS that would bring FSX crashing down to the desktop, if I was lucky to get 20 minutes of of it. So...the puzzlement. I thought it was imperative that an MS-based flight sim, had to migrate to 64 bit, for we were loading up with add-on programs such a burden , that a 32 bit program (any 32 bit flight sim) would be overwhelmed in memory resources...and fail to the desktop or…

Hi, has anyone had success with installing the Coolsky DC-9 in Prepar3d V2.2? I've tried it with EMT on a clean 2.2 install, but none of the gauges works. Seems like Prepar3d won't use the CSDC9.dll in the gauge folder... Any Solutions? Regards, Benny

Well I got it working right out of the box - great as this is one of favorite programs What I did was download the latest wrapper from flight1 - installed it with the latest Estonia tool when the program is installing it mentions fsx path dont worry it still installs into programs86 directory - when its done I did not run configurator - I downloaded 1.17 version from forums and installed it I dont think it asked to configure if it if it does close it - copy over the beta ezca.exe in your main ezca installed folder - its in programs86 - then launch configurator and let it do its thing - bam all working perfectly no adjustments of any kind - I am not us…

Anybody else seeing these at high flight levels? They are everywhere and look horrible. I have the following: FTX Global 1.2 BASE Vector 1.5 FS Global 2010 REX4TD My setup in a nutshell is: Default Nvidea Control panel with global perimeters just having vsync changed to adaptive I used to have NI Inspector and would also see this as well. I have tried to put down sliders and its still there....I also have a TBM of 40 and a FFTM or 0.13

Apologies if this has been asked before, cannot find a straight answer. Okay been simming for 30+ years, yes I know, going back to Commodore 64 days. Anyways, I have a simple I hope question. Would like to start porting over to Prepar3d from FSX. Questions:- 1. Does it make a difference what license you buy, academic v professional? 2. Have most of the usual payware addons and noticed on A2A you pay more for the Cherokee 180 in professional than you do in Academic 3. PMDG have announced that you may pay more for different licenses 4. Does it matter what license you get if you are a recreational simmer? What will I really miss out on if I only get a Academic lice…

Evening all. Just having a a problem with the Elevator Trim Wheel. It is constantly rotating, adding positive pitch. I've tried various things to stop it but to no avail. I have been reassigning key commands to my joystick so may have cocked it up somewhere. Anyone got any ideas?? Thx

Hi all anybody else getting a heavy a hit on fps with ftx eng wales and Scotland . Global fine and Australia sp4. On average halfing my frame rate. I am on prep3dv2 graphics card overhead low and cpu not maxed out . I have an i5 4670k and gtx760 with 8gig of ram. Can fly ok but using a carrendo plane or multi monitor kills my system. Tried overclocking up to 4.2ghz no improvement . Turned off all autogen still bad . At a loss to lack of performance . My system should be well capable. Any thoughts.

I usually use P3D's weather engine when I fly. I simply like to decide what weather it is today. ^_^ I've been noticing though that P3D's weather engine (just as FSX's weather engine btw) introduces 'ghost clouds' after some time. Let's say I have one layer of clouds at 13000 to 20000 feet and nothing more. After something like 5 to 10 minutes I see rather flat clouds appear below or near my flying level (usually around 4000 to 8000 feet). They don't look nice at all. Quite ugly, to be honest. When I go to the Weather menu and click on Customize and then twice on OK (without changing anything!) those odd clouds are gone instantly and I only have the weather I wanted a…

Have just downloaded the latest N California scenery and latest libraries, and the water in the San Francisco Bay area is brown but the main Pacific is blue. Can anybody tell me what I have done wrong. Thanks, Richard Halton
