Recently added ORBX Open lc Europe to Prepar3d V2.2 and have had a few days to test. Quite simply, this scenery is brilliant! Excellent frame rates, nice detail. I greatly anticipate the release of other Open lc areas by ORBX. If you have not tried this scenery, I wholly recommend it.

Hi all, after years of simming (FSX and now P3D), I never seen this scrolling information at the top of the screen inside P3D v2.2. I have not installed any new addons for at least three weeks and tonight is the first time I see it. Anyone know where it comes from - or what it means?

I've just started to set up a new computer and was about to install FSX when it occurred to me that I now have a machine fully capable to running P3D But I am unclear on how to get my FSX addons into the new system. I have read a great number of threads about this but either I am missing something conceptually or more likely something isn't sinking in with me. Do I have to resintall all of the addons from their original installation files? (aircraft, scenery, mesh etc) I am aware of the so-called Estonia migration tool and it looks like a fine way to avoid a lot of work but can I use it to migrate addons out of my FSX folder and into P3D on the new computer, o…

Since installing the new Medicine Hat, Alberta Global airport from pack 16...I decided to try the airport out..and took off, grabbing a highway out of town, towards the West at 3,500 AGL. I am seeing totally (new to me...) prairie scrub and textures. Wow...does Global every do a great job of the feeling of the West in that area. You get to think that there is not truly too much difference in Global, because it is not a 'fat' region. So wrong....and today just once more, proved it to me. hey guys, i just got ftx global/ open cl, and it looks great for textures however, is there any program that i could use for the building and things because it just looks dull with the normal fsx buildings. many thanks.

P3D has started to CTD about 10 minutes into a flight. I know there are threads that are like this, but I've done a lot of research in FSX and P3D. Why? Because I haven't bought either yet. I'm a first time simmer. I owned MFS back in the day, but not sure which one it was. I'm sure it was before FS9 though. I'm more interested in GA then fighters, especially when it comes to an actual career type experience (Addons or VA or VatSim) something to give me a reason to go from point A to point B. hi all. i have a very annoying problem with my FTX orbx. i am using win7 64 bit. 4gb ddr2 1066 ati 4850 e8500 i install normal FSX after then sp1 and finally sp2 after then REX Essansiel everything works perfect. no problem. like this SS then i decied to use my FTX ORBX AU GOLD. and i install it 1.0 version. and it works pretty good. then i wanted to add FTX ORBX AU GOLD Service Pack (2-4 i tried both of them and result is same.) in this SS i change preview mode to DX10 and have this. but in DX9 mod i have totaly black ground textures. ( CLOUDS AND TRİKE PROPPELLER ARE NORMAL BUT MY IMG RESIZER MAKE THEM BLACK. JUST LOOK THE GROUND TEXTURE CHANGES…

Has anyone been able to get FS Keeper to work on Prepar3D? I have been looking at the program and find it is the perfect logging tool since I fly different aircraft either on FSX or P3D. I have read were the developer is fixing ver. 4 to be official and be able to run it on both platforms but I am trying to see if anyone has had any luck so far by just modifying.

I love my payware planes, but like the Maule in FSX, I'm kinda hooked on the Mooney Acclaim. I don't use it IFR even though it has the G1000, mainly it's just for cruising around the PNW, having a look about, and finding an airport that I've never visited. It behaves nicely and has a great looking cockpit, and it's made by a payware developer! So, what default aircraft do you secretly love to fly?

This thread isn't unique, but I've boiled it down to two planes. Aerosoft A320 or Majestic Q400 I like complicated systems, but a good way to learn. I'm unsure about the tutorials and manuals of both aircraft. The Q400 does have Airline2Sim which is a seperate cost. I like the Q400 as I've ridden in one, but I also like the Airbus extra tidbits it adds. The Q400 will have future upgrades as well. The Q400 appears to have a bit of issues with P3D but... Gah..which one? I haven't flown one complicated tubeliner at all. In fact, P3D doesn't come with much commercial aircraft.

During install of multiple zips that I selected I get popup error window that a particular aircraft is not found. It seems to appear on every zip file. I did run the installer as administrator. Yet, I can see the aircraft directory is there... I had this error on my Win 7 box, now I'm on a brand new box with only P3D on a SSD and the installer running from a SATA III drive.

I have been trying to put in my add ons into prepar3d v 2.2. and so far it was going good. I installed SBGR by tropicalsim and I installed it into a seperate folder in the prepar3d v 2.2 add on folder so I don't mess up my system if it doesn't work. I can take it out easier if it's only in that one place. Well guess what, it messed up my system because when the startup screen comes on it shows me the scenery loading and then crash to desktop. But here is the thing, I immediately removed the file from the add on folder and restart the computer. I make sure it's uninstalled in the add/delete control panel just to double check. Does P3D have a TO/GA function I can program to a controller? I've been looking in the control menu as well as in FSUIPC, but I cant find anything. Maybe another name is used and I dont recognize it?..

I am trying to reinstall P3d. When I get to the screen asking for my License # and Password it won't let me enter anything. Yes I registered it when I first install. But I can't get pass this. Anyone have any clues as to what I need to do? Thanks. Bill

I've used orbx England and it seems to look better than as mentioned in this topic can I run orbx England Aswell as orbx global base vector and lc as in England ftx you get smoke stacks and I miss them in global

....a dummy for going so long in either P3D 2.2 or FSX WITHOUT upgrading the last thing I never 'thought' would be needed....what a dummy...... I have just taken off from Halifax, Nova Scotia, bound north-east to go along the coast up towards a circle tour of Cape Breton Island. The entire simulator has been transformed by adding two days ago, Pilot's Global 2010FSX world-wide custom mesh file. WHAT A DUMMY! Nova Scotia is drop-dead gorgeous! I've just re-installed P3D 1.4 after finding that ORBX PNW and UTX did not play well together at coastal airports. That's a separate issue, so no UTX for now as it's unsupported anyway. My issue is that I installed FTX NA GA aircraft for the PNW region and not only do I not see any of the aircraft, supposedly over 600 in the region, although they are certainly present in the Simobjects/airplanes folder, I can no longer get traffic anywhere. There are a number of tick boxes, in the GA AI control panel, there's a box for P3D ai traffic that activates/de-activates the trafficAircraft.bgl file, this is not used in PNW, rather, everywhere else. Hi guys, A question... I am building a home cockpit and have started using the Jeheel software for the instruments on 2 monitors while the outside display is on 2 monitors linked as dual HDMI... (have 4 monitors - 2 x 27" linked as one using Zotac splitter and 2 x 18" running DVI all from same card) Currently i have my 2 GTX670oc cards linked in SLI and am using the CFG tweak etc,,,, I do get graphic anomalies though which we understand is a trade off.. My question is this... can i disable SLI and plug the 2 monitors for the gauges into the lower graphic card and leave the other card to display the outside view? Would performance be better for the gauges? …

I took the vanilla 737-800 airplane and made a flight plan : IFR from VOR to VOR. I am good until I need to set start my approach and set my Nav 1 frequency. Where do I get the info ? I've look at some tutorial online but they were not using my plane so I am little confuse about the sequence and I need to perform for this plane. I am trying to learn the correct procedure before I jump to the PMDG. Any help would be appreciated.
