Hi, Been meaning to ask this and keep forgetting. There was an entry in the FSX.cfg which I am not using but would like to install in both fsx and p3d. It was for the runway. strobes, vasi and the deck or surface lights. I believe there were 4 entries. Does anyone have these handy and do they work in p3d? Also what [section] do they belong? Greetings everyone, Would be greatly appreciated, if you could let me know if you have an Aerosoft, FSDT or UK2000 airport working in P3D although no native installers are available. So with the migration tool or however else you did it. The other list appears somewhat outdated. Thank you and best regards, Rene

After reading lots of reviews of Prepar3d and they all seems to think that P3d is wayyyy better than FSX, I'm seriously considering buying it. However as I understand it P3d requires DirectX11 to run. I have an "old" Nividia GTX285 and I know it's Directx10 compatible, but what about D11X? If not, what card would you recommend, and please not too expensive :-)

As I look at buying Global, Vector and Europe LC and the total cost of just over $200, I am wondering if there are any discounts available such as from VA membership, etc. I know this stuff has generally not gone on sale. thanks,

Can anyone confirm this? If you are on the water, there is a slight rolling motion and visual wave movement. Now take off and as you climb, notice that around 600ft the movement stops and you have a static wave pattern with no movement. I tried KLAX and SITKA - My water settings are on ultra and my animations are at max. Have I missed something? Other than that - so far so good!! Vic

hello Ok guys I at last bought P3D 2 . but the problem is i need to wait 8 hours for the download to complete :blink: . so i wanted to know how do you guys setup addons that can be run on fsx and p3d . for example I have rex4 installed on my computer for fsx . when I want to use it for P3D should i install it again on the same drive to use with p3d or should i uninstall it and use it for one sim only . same thing goes to FTX central cheers

Hi guys: Big favor can I get someone to post some screenshots from 2.3 at night as I hear its pretty nice but I am not seeing a good looking night - also dont use hdr to take shots - maybe its on my end - thank you

Apart from the terrain shadows not working well on my system (they show up as dark blobs) I noticed another problem with 2.3 today: the cloud shadows are turned on and off depending on where I look. For instance if I look straight forward I see no cloud shadows, when I move my head a little to the left (with TrackIR) I see cloud shadows in the far distance (I have it set to 40.000) and when I look even more left I also get cloud shadows nearby. This means that when I look around I see shadows being turned on and off all the time!!! This is while flying at 7.45 PM. ....wow...wow.... I had 2.3 running, then loaded Global 1.20, Vector 1.15, Pilot2010FSX... Ran it again...and CTD. I at least know...that everything I want, works in 2.2. In the morning, I'll run my system restore..and get everything back as it was.... Glad for you limited ones, all that have got this to work....and with some of your add-ons. I couldn't. Going to bed....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I've spent 5 hours at this...and have had enough.... The dang patch should have been released to recognize the hot patch....and just friggin upgraded the sim.

I jumped at the chance to install the new 2.3. First by patch, many problems, didn't work for me. Now I now the reason of FSUIPC etc. Then went the full install after deleting a perfectly good 2.2. Sound familiar? Anyway now have 2.3 up and running. Looks good. Spent last two nights reinstalling scenery and aircraft. However can not reinstall my FBI, KDeEN or KSFO. Something about "this scenery is for 2.1 and 2.2. I am stuck. KDEN is there and the addon MGM. Says it is installed and active. I have runways and equipment showing but. No terminal! Not to addon but also with FsDT half of my scenery has terminals but KLK and KIAH does not. Possibly related?

HDR choice in P3D v23 There are times I like and times I no like... opinions? PROs: I found the clouds tend to blend together nicely with it on I find the darks are darker Colors have some more depth to their contrasts/brilliance CONs: a 5+ fps hit, not much when its 40 but a lot when its 16 way to much shinning of exterior airplane some shimmering of glass displays blurring of white fonts of buttons when night lights on

I am not sure, but cockpit and some other ac shadows seem to have much stronger jaggies than it was before (v2.2). It does not matter what AA settings I use and if NI (SGAA=4x) is active or not. Anybody else seeing this? I observed these strong jaggies with A2A C172, AS TwinOtter, Realair Duke v2. Harry

Anyone getting this much tiling effect with their FTX Global? It is all up to date...I see this a lot. Picture was taken over northern Italy however it is virtually everywhere in Europe and N.A. For $100 it really annoys me....Maybe I should re-install? The order of which I installed was as follows.... GLobal>Vector>FS Global2010 (FTX) One day however I do recall doing some tests and un-checking the ORBX Base scenery layers in my scenery library.....But then I checked it back on...Maybe this was what messed it up? Anybody else?

Hi, Anyone know where if any ORBX may have a list of those regions and airports which have an installer for p3d v2.2. or v2.3, or their infamous triple installer. I found a forum which lists updates but I cannot find a distinct list. Bob

I just did a complete install of P3d V2.3 and noticed that the landing lights for the default aircraft seem a bit dim if at all non existant. Dont know if this is a corrupt file on my part so I thought I'd ask the community. All things aside, loving the improvements from 2.2

Installed FTX Global into P3D last night and noticed immediately after the installation that distant autogen had vanished with just a narrow band of autogen displaying ahead of the aircraft. I thought this was a P3D issue but all was fine until I installed FTX Global! Anyone else noticed this? Adam

I am getting incredible RAM usage, both physical and video: At ending of a flight, max was 12.3G, current was 10.2,,,, closed P3D and it went to 3.7 MIN meaning 8.6 G MAX ??? take away a gig for addons and its still 7.6 The video maxed at 4066MB Unbelievable. I must have my numbers wrong And there were no stutters landed at FLyTampa's CYUL with 16-22 fps all those clouds and 65% UT2

Installed P3D V2.3. All looking fine. Installed FTX Global - all distant autogen gets removed. I thought this was a P3D LOD issue but it looks like FTX Global is the cause? Adam

Hi everyone Would I be correct in saying we need to wait for an updated FS Estonia Migration Tool before adding any sceneries/aircraft etc etc into P3d v2.3? Cheers Paul

The programme has installed itself in a separate folder in programme 86 files. Is this correct? or should it be in the FSX Folder. Also I have installed Airbus X Extended with Prepar3d included it could not find Microsoft simulator even though I selected and OK'd the folder for it. Many thanks Mike

Has anyone performed any testing on whether LOD Radius has an effect on 2.3?

After my full install using the 10.6GB setup. V2.3 runs fine. Went to install FSUIPC and found there was no modules folder? I created one but no Addons tab created in the P3d menu. Anyone else had this problem? Any help appreciated Sorry...my bad...needed to do a full install FSUIPC to create modules folder.

Greetings I am here to further abuse your good nature. I have removed FSX from my machine. That's it...that's all. I have a couple of issues with P3D and perhaps I could get some coaching. -I don't seem to be able to achieve the same performance in P3D as I did in FSX. -the stuttering seems worse than FSX. -I can't seem to get a handle on the simmering. I realize that there are graphics issues that are being addressed. So perhaps I'll just have to live with it for now. With my current performance, I wouldn't want to be messing with sparse grid sampling. -I was going to whine about the AI strobes, taxi and landing lights. However, Rob mentioned they'd been f…
