I can not start the weather program in 2.3 . Any update coming for FS Global Real Weather?

Hi all, I was in t,he p3d cfg last night and noticed the entries FXAA MSAA and the setting SGAA Both FSAA, MSAA had 1 next to them which would be as per my settings but what about SGAA? This was set at 0 for off but there is no setting for this on the UI ...well I cannot see it. Is it better to use this rather than NI settings, I ask as I cannot read the airbus instruments and I am looking for a setting to help...anyone know if this is for making a change.. Many thanks

Hi Everyone, Looking for some help please re the p3d and AXE. The problem, installed the new version of p3d this weekend vanilla never had it before on its own drive and have just installed the Airbus, so far so good. It all seems to work until I go into the view menu to get to the window to reduce the size so I can load Opus. As soon as I go to the window mode and start reducing it to a size of the window when I can see the other short cuts on my desktop...bang P3D crashes it has done it three times. The Airbus was installed from the Aerosoft installer it came with for p3d...I admit it does not say v2.3 but others have not had issues... So has anyone …

Hi! I have recently made the jump from FSX to P3D, and naturally I wanted to install EZdok, which worked flawlessly is FSX. I've used the migration tool to install EZdok in P3D, and put the ECZA P3D BETA.EXE in the correct folder. I am able to "activate EZdok but pressing NUM3, but if I try to move around with a 360degree "thumb" button on my joystick everything is stuck and sorts of snaps back to its original position immediately. Same goes for using the middle mouse button, which I in FSX used for looking around smoothly. Furthermore, I cant press the PAGE UP nor the PAGE DOWN button so making my own cameras is impossible. I just upgraded to windows 8.1 and have a fresh install of P3D 2.3 (using Thrustmaster Cougar stick). I'm experiencing the so-called "disconnect" issue. I've tried to comb through the old posts about windows 8 joystick disconnect issues, but there are hundreds of posts. Is this a "solved" issue at this point? I just installed Win8.1, so I haven't followed the previous threads. Is there a solution to this problem?

I had a working v2.2 install, with a lot of addon scenery.. ranging from ftx products to aersoft.. I ran the upgrade, all appeared to go well.. (i didnt first clear out existing appdata folders or programdata (scenery) ).. I checked the sceneryconfigeditor to see if the scenery was all still there and in order.. this looked fine.. Started up the sim, tried northern california with aerosoft san fran.. the buildings are all defaults and i'm not really seeing FTX NAC either etc.. I was going to try flushing out all the config files then copying back over my scenery.cfg, but i doubt this will fix the issue.. Anyone else found this to be the case? Starting f…

The answer might be on the FTX Community Forum but since I've a lifetime ban I am unable to browse it. I have just downloaded all the NA Freeware Airports. There are several where I have to disable AEC. What is AEC and where do I find it? Noel

I am thrilled with version 2.3. I waa consistently getting 25 to 30 fps with PMDG 737, FIX global and vector, REX 4, tractoR, and Ezdoc. I built a computer with the I 4770 chip and Asus z87 MaximumExtreme VI motherboard to overclock. After four months I finally had the courage to overclock. I got up to about 4.6 before my problems began. Unhappy with results I reset everything to auto. Now I am having all sorts of problems running P3d. None of these appeared before attempting to overclock. P3D pauses for no reason in flight or will just freeze for a few seconds then unfreeze on its own. It takes longer to load and when shutting down I often get a fatal error. Track I.E. w…

Hi all, As I didn't have any custom stuff installed (except ASN) I decided to go for the full install rather than the patch. Not sure that was such a good idea... After removing 2.2 and the associated content in the LM folders (but not the folders themselves), I got an error after nearly the full installation ran. I realized I hadn't restarted, so I did. Next installation is currently hanging at about 85%. I don't know where it is in the process as there is no progress feedback other than a progress bar in the installer. Any suggestions? If I don't find anything that works, I guess next try will be to remove LM folders completely before reinstall. …

waited for ASN and FSUIPC compatible betas with 2.3 so I could patch it. Patch says I have the wrong version, so I cannot even patch it. So Im downloading 2.3 Have lots of settings saved,like my PFC yoke setup perfect thru FSUIPC, GOFLIGHT module and lots of addons. Can I save FSUIPC settings ? if yes , what files exactly?

I just recently installed the orbx crm region and kjac airport. From all the screenshots and videos on the orbx website, flying into kjac following the snake river, the river looks nicely detailed. From flying around it today it looks quite dull. Almost like a default river. I'll try to post a screenshot later

From what I understand was the performance improvement for P3D2.3 in the first place aimed at better performance with weather engines and from what I read would the ASN update also improve performance, so I'm a little confused to see that when I turned on ASN with the same settings as in P3D2.2(just 2 cloud layers, draw distance of 80) my FPS dropped by more than 20FPS, while in 2.2 that was only a drop of 10FPS with comparable weather (just cloudy, no rain, no storm). Wasnt the whole idea behind the updates to be able to use more cloud layers, a better draw distance and be able to turn cloud shadows on? I've got 10-14FPS left, while in 2.2 I still could count on 20-25FP…

Has anyone heard when FlightBeam will setup their installer to allow installation of their products into P3DV2.3? Right now I'm getting the following error when trying to install the KIAD product: FS Dreamteam immediately changed their installers for V2.3 so I thought it would be quick for FlightBeam too. Error The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may upgrade a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on youir computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch" Any ideas over here?

I know that Nvid Controlpanel does not have as many options as Inspector, but since P3DV2.3 does not need a lot of tweaking, can I just use it? In controlpanel, under tranparency sampling, is "4x (supersample)" the same as inspector "4x sparse grid supersample"? Hi, Right now I'm feeling unhappy with Lockheed Martin. I posted my experiences with my recent failed patching attempts to v2.3 with some, what I believed to be, positive comments and suggestions as to how we could progress this issue towards finding a solution. We know that not insignificant numbers have experienced problems with this latest patch update which is clearly flawed in some way. On a small trip from Oslo Gardemoen to Bergen Flesland (ENGM-ENBR) with heavy thunderstorms it suddenly happened. A familiar sound started to ding its way into my brain. "No. It couldn't be", I thought. Even with the NGX ported over, I don't even run 2.3 on max graphics. Not even REX4 are allowed to inject 4096 resolution textures into my sim. But there it was. On final for runway 35 and landing checklist complete. DING! "Prepar3d has run out of available memory" I don't know wether to laugh or cry

Just installed 2.3 (did a complete reinstall, not the update) and I notice that all ground shadows show up as very obvious almost black blobs. This only happens in front of me. At my side and behind me everything is fine. Anyone else having the same problem? I am using the 337.88 nVidia drivers. I sometimes had this problem with 2.2 also but then those blobs only showed up every now and then in a few places but not as obvious and all over the place as now!

I have been playing around with some different settings with Ver 2.3 this afternoon. I am not a big watcher of FPS but I noticed that when I load the Legacy I drop about 30-35 FPS as compared with one of the default planes. This is with clear skies sitting on the ramp at KPNS. This is with pretty middle of the road settings. I have been flying this AC with 2.2 and never noticed it being this hard on the system. I am wondering if maybe it is not playing as well with ver 2.3. Anyone one else notice a difference?

The file is 15.5MB in size. However, I'm no further forward as the log appears to confirm that patching was successful and yet there is still no actual physical evidence that this is in fact true. Anyone get it to work ? I did a complete install of v2.3 and tried installing using the EMT (2.3.0.66.0) When loading the plane the screen goes blank. no errors no sound.. just black screen. Its one of my favorites to fly.. so any tips would be greatly appreciated! BTW, 2.3 rocks.. its just too good to put it into words Thanks!
