Is there an aircraft carrier with FLOLS for P3D v2.3 (payware or freeware)?

Hi all, As I mainly do airliner flying, I am finding FTX Global / Vector / LC more than meets my needs for wide area scenery, and in some areas I even prefer it to the specific Orbx region for that area. With this in mind, I am looking to (safely) uninstall 3 region packs from my FSX intallation; but I'm concerned about screwing up my FTX Global installation in the process. The 3 regions I would like to safely remove are;- - Orbx EU ENG - Orbx EU SCO - Orbx EU WLS My Orbc directory, within the FSX root directory looks like this ;- within the "FTX_EU" folder above, the directory looks like this :- Would I just delete all of the E…

After the 2.3 patch caused P3D to crash repeatedly, I downloaded the full version and re-installed (after uninstalling the patched 2.3) P3D. I restored my flights and controls files, as well as my scenery and aircraft addons. All worked well. Next on my list was all of the ORBX stuff (Global, Vector, LCEurope, free airports, and Libs). This all took quite a while. However, now P3D again crashes (without ASN running). The Event Viewer states that clr.dll in .NET faulted (exit code 80131506). I have no idea what to do about this (apparently the patch crashes were caused by exactly the same error). Does anyone have a clue what the root cause of these errors might…

ONE TWEAK TO RULE THEM ALL :lol: Like so many of you, I spent more time tweaking and staring at the start-up screen in FSX than actually flying. When I first installed Prepar3D a few weeks ago, I tried so many different ’tweaks’, each proclaiming to be the ‘silver bullet’, the ‘one true setting’, the ‘holy grail’ for perfect visual fidelity and smooth flight. The truth was that none of them worked. They all resulted in blurred ground textures, caused stuttering or made the simulator crash. The problem with all of these ‘holy grails’ is that what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another because we all have a unique combination of hardware and software. …

Alright, so I've had about enough of not completing a flight in FSX. I'm looking at Prepar3d as the next platform. Is there any place that gives a list of compatible add-ons for traffic/planes/airports/weather, etc?

So we all know how "sensitive" (for lack of a better word) Prepar3d is and I have been having a strange problem lately. My default starting point is at Boston and if I load the simulator with the default position then the sim starts up fine (most of the time). If I load the sim and pick another city at start up I get a CTD every time. There is no explanation and I am left with a blank screen. If I start in Boston and then load a different city from there then it loads up fine again so I am confused. It's not a huge problem and if I need to I can live with it but I would just like to see if it can be corrected. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it. thank y…

Starting a new build and trying to plan which addon software I will use. What I ask from you guys is your preference of P3D 2.2 compatible current environmental addons. Rex4 seems the no-brainer for wx & cloud textures. How about terrain mesh & scenery? I'm not looking for specific locations or geodrawn Orbx or Megascenery textures; more like the stuff FSGenesis/GEX/UTX used to do for FSX in terms of nice looking ground gen and accurate mesh altitudes. What seems to be working the best for you so far?

Hey there everyone.. Trying to find someone who might happen to have this addon and prepar3d version 2.3.. I've tried everything but i cant get good frame rates with version 2.3 of prepar3d and this particular addon... i've tried removing the 3 "extreme" bgls, per other forums, this doesnt help much.. If i do a particular saved flight in a cessna real air c172.. aimed at the main city up close (say 3 miles or less away, heading towards the airport).. the saved flight in pause mode gets me about 14 fps. Granted this is at 5760x1080 but lowering this resolution actually doesnt help much.. this is also with just a haze, no real cloud cover.. removing all wea…

I want to upgrade to v2.3 but I haven't played P3D for quite a while. I just checked that my current P3D version is 2.0.9448.0 so I assume that I'm still with v2.0. On LM's download page it seems the v2.3 patch is only for v2.2 => v2.3. Is there a patch for v2.0 => v2.3, or I have to down load the 10GB P3D package and do a complete new installation? And if I do a complete installation of v2.3 can I install v2.3 on top of my current P3D v2 or I need to uninstall v2 and all the addons first? If I install the full v2.3 package (10GB) directly over the current P3D will all the addons (FTX Global etc) be kept? Any comments will be greatly appreciated! Yan…

Well, just when I have become very happy with P3D and how it performs, I get my first appcrash... That's a bummer. I was wondering if anyone can make some sense from the following information. My system is Dutch but I think/hope the information is clear. Anyone can figure out what went wrong here? Imagine my dismay when I installed V2.3 and it crashed big time. I did a clean install and it is working fine. Ran Active Sky Next (which is about the only must-have thing) for the first time and ... BOOM ... it crashed out the sim. Removed ASN, all is fine. Installed a Carendo plane (Skymaster), MSE files, injected REX textures, started GoFLight modules, ran HIDMacros, etc., all work fine. Haven't tried installing Orbx Pacific Northwest yet. Let's see, is that all? ,,,,, Hmmm, Everything looks good. Guess Ill have to wait for ASN fix.

If you have MyTraffic 5.4c (latest edition of this series for P3D) BTW, there are two versions, obviously one for FSX, but, there is one for the P3D franchise. The P3D true edition recognizes jet-ways for A.I. as well as A.I. being serviced by airport vehicles. Flew to Kuwait and the weather there showed visibility of 2.5 miles. As I made my descent and approach I could see the ground clearly and it was a bright and sunny day. As I decended below 3000ft I was suddenly in thick fog. It kinda reminded me of FSX default weather where it would do the same thing and the low vis just jumps in from nowhere. It's a real immersion killer when a few moments earlier you could see the ground clearly. I am currently using the trial and also tried FS Global Weather which is also available on trial. Hello gents, I am using since few days the Aerosoft Airbus Extended X along with P3D v2.3. Well, ND is not working. After dialed knobs to light on PFD and ND, navigation display is completely freeze: no information about wind speed and direction, no heading (always locked to the north 000°) and so on, the only alive objects are airports/VOR/waypoints. I usually only fly GA and usually only one plane for months: currently it's the A2A Cherokee 180. However, after flying GA only for a long, long time I suddenly feel the need to maybe give a bigger plane a try. Now I've flown the big ones out there in my FSX days (PMDG MD-11, 737NGX, Airbus X plus a few other before those) but while I enjoyed flying those, I never liked the fact that I flew unrealistic short flights with them. I like to start with the descent as soon as I reach TOC, usually. ^_^ So now I started to look at planes that were a bit smaller but still have some of the extra stuff bigger planes bring (FMC, overhead, well, more buttons, really!). Hi, Way back in the days of v.2.0 and also, if memory serves, v2.1, some simmers were experiencing a strange phenomenon whereby frame rates were restored by simply clicking on and off the menu bar or switching back and forth between screen modes. Well, I believe the latter is still present in certain situations. Normally I prefer flying in Full Screen mode as it feels more realistic and the responsiveness of the menus is rock solid unlike their behaviour in Windowed mode. Greetings I am using P3D version 2.3. I have: FTX Global, Vector, MyTraffic X 5.4c installed; along with other scenery. I started a flight in CYYZ and noticed that the airport terminal buildings were missing. I moved the MyTraffic CYYZ bgl to another location. That did not solve the problem. I had this issue when I was still using FSX. I was able to delete the scenery and texture folders and replace them with a backup. FSX rebuilt the airport cache and voila, buildings returned. I don't have this option now, as I have just installed P3D version 2.3 and there is no backup prior to installing MyTraffic. My bad :angry: I should point out that there is also a …

Just purchased ORBX Global, Vector and Europe LC. Outside of hardware my largest purchase ever for Flight Sim.... Installing now and looking forward to how the sim looks after adding this (note I am switching from GEX, UTX, so not expecting massive changes.)

Hello savants, I am trying to change the default zoom of 0.3 to something more life like. From the documentation I thought I had derived that going to the ......./AppData/.... blahblah/cameras.cfg and changing the InitialZoom parameter OR going to the aircraft.cfg in the SimObjects folder would do this. No such luck. It always stays at 0.3 . I adjusted the InitialZoom parameter in the CameraDefinition.002. This is for the copied FSX 172, but no, that is NOT the problem. Any ideas? Thanks much!

I figured I'd start a thread here on what i've experienced so far in migrating from version 2.2 of prepar3D to 2.3 So far i've ran into FSUIPC issues.. i've downloaded the latest 4936.. i find that (even with no yoke/pedal showing up) i must goto controls and have controllers checked off (enabled) in order for FSUIPC to allow me to do the calibration tab.. Scenery migration as far as the content still being there and loading was smooth, though for some reason my scenery.cfg wasnt in the Prepar3Dv2 subfolder in programdata.. i fixed this easily.. Hi, I just installed Ezdok with its 1.17 Version and also with the p3d beta version, and I also added the right text into the exe. When loading P3D it says : "Couldn´t patch EZCA.exe propely. Maybe wrong version?Reebot your system and try again. looks like this" But anyway after loading I see anyway the Ezca tool bar but dynamic head movements and middle mouse button doesnt work anyway?? Everything works fine but theres no middle mouse button and dynamic head movement effect, even when I toggle the sliders to maximum!
