http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/83182-objectflowdll-not-tested/ All it seems to do is remove the warning dialog box on startup of P3d. It is a automatic, silent update.

After the 2.3 patch caused P3D to crash repeatedly, I downloaded the full version and re-installed (after uninstalling the patched 2.3) P3D. I restored my flights and controls files, as well as my scenery and aircraft addons. All worked well. Next on my list was all of the ORBX stuff (Global, Vector, LCEurope, free airports, and Libs). This all took quite a while. However, now P3D again crashes (without ASN running). The Event Viewer states that clr.dll in .NET faulted (exit code 80131506). I have no idea what to do about this (apparently the patch crashes were caused by exactly the same error). Does anyone have a clue what the root cause of these errors might…

At least I hope it is. Getting SSD's ready for a new clean install of P3Dv2.3 and my OS (figured it was time for both), and eagerly await to hear feedback on the improved look of the water. Anybody care to jump in with their input on this? Does it look "wetter and better"? How about those "whitish" looking mountains in the distance. Any improvement on that too? Clutch

You may want to defragment your P3D disk, or at least those folders changed by the update. Windows writes in the Next Available sector and does not try to keep things together. So your new files may be in pieces.

Hello all P3Dv2 users. I might be able to help a few of you out that are having issues with freeware AFCAD files that you used in FSX, or that will work in P3Dv2 even though they were made for FSX. I have finally got the hang of ADE1.6, and for the longest time, I was trying to figure out how to make the taxiways appear in P3Dv2. There is a marker issue with the ADE version that was used to make a majority of these files. There is now a new one out that supports P3Dv2, and like a lot of you, I use freeware AFCADS to make my approaches and such in line with current as possible setups in the RW. So here is what I have. If you have a airport BGL file, that worked…

Good morning everyone Since my initial post 'V2.3 is released Woo Hoo' last night there have been over 116 posts mainly with people on the other side of the pond having problems with installing the V2.3 patch It was my intentions all along this morning not to go this route but to completely re-format my SSD and re-install Windows 7 and then put the full version release of V2.3 on .... Sounds all rather drastic but at least I will know it will be a completely clean install. It's a annoying having to re-install everything again but I intentionally did not put many addons into v2.2 to help make things as painless as possible I will hopefully be in a p…

Hi guys Looking for a little advise on what would be better to do regarding the latest release. I have downloaded the full installer for 2.3 but as I bought the product at v2.2 this is the first time I've had to update. So would it be better to do a complete uninstall of the whole program and addons and start from scratch or can I uninstall just p3d and then point to the scenery addons once v2.3 has been installed I currently have all the orbx compatable stuff active sky and pilots mesh installed plus a couple of other payware things a2a and Q400 fsdt etc, if I do a complete reinstall are there any files I should make a back up of first to help with the reinstall. …

I know that P3D hasnt got the best water, but what I see on pictures and videos from others and what I see in my sim, is still quite a difference. I'm using REX4TD for textures and I got my settings in P3D for tessellation/Resolution/water detail/etc pretty high (even tried all at ultra), but the difference is huge. Rex4 Medium Default The color, as I see it on the textures in REX, for inland water should be brown-ish/grey-ish, but in the sim it's blue like the sea textures, with green spots. Also every wave animation is very large, like there are 2 foot high waves in a small stream of water. I also dont get the white reflections on the waves, as I see from ot…

Greetings I am using version 2.2. I moved my default aircraft from FSX to P3D using the EMT. So far so good. Am able to fly them, configure controls, etc. I do seem to have issues with the lights. C172 as an example: -panel lights work -nothing else would turn on -get a white tail light when I turn on the landing lights, but only after turning off the panel lights -tried shockwave (no joy) Could anyone give me some tips as to how to get the lights for the migrated aircraft to work in P3D? Many thanks, Graham

Started testing the latest beta build from LM ... performance improvement so far appears to be about 15% across the board on my setup using this build. Cloud shadows at sunset have much less impact. Tested using 5 cloud layers at sunset which would normally bring my system to 10-11 fps (see settings in link below). Also tested with high speed aircraft as they will stress out performance more than "normal" aircraft. Used Captain Sim 777, Lockheeds F-22, and F-35. Scenery is all Orbx with FTX Global, FTX Vector, PILOTs FTX Edition Mesh, and FTX OpenLC EU -- so I did try to load it up with add-ons. Made a quick video here: Graphics settings used can be…

I have FTX/Orbx Norcal and love it, and was thinking of buying FTX Global and/or Vector, and note that FTX Global looks like it is only compatible with P3Dv1.x. Have I simply not looked hard enough, or is the FTX Global not compatible with P3Dv2.2. I never got as far as looking at FTX Vector, any info on that with v2.2? Thanks, Bruce.

Just a querstion to know P3D behavior: I'm using this sim for about thow weeks. It looks amazing, runs well with my hw and the tweaking is less and easier than FSX... Flying different aircrafts, for example A2A C172 (latest version) and the SIbwings Cessna O1, i noticed that first one has a terrible AA. Second one, instead, looks amazing, antialiased and look very pretty... Why P3D has different AA appearance between different models? Is due to new DX11?

Hi all, as I anxiously wait for PMDG to get their products P3D-ready, I would like to know if there is a good replacement, while waiting, for a 737. Something that is systems-heavy with (hopefully) few bugs. Any ideas?

Perhaps this is old school for you Orbx Global users. I recently purchased Global but do not yet have openLC. I am greatly enjoying the new textures in non Orbx Regions. I have recently started upgrading certain non-Region areas with freeware to check out the result. This includes Denmark. So for Denmark, I added several freeware major airports from: http://www.vidandesign.com/ I have not bought any payware from Vidan Design. And Denmark v1.4 freeware package available on AVSIM, which contains tons of freeware airports many with photo backgrounds and cities, major structures...a huge list of content. file:///D:/Games/Flight%20Simulation%2…

Hello all! I recently purchased an SSD so I could move all of my FS stuff away from my main drive, and have the added bonus of quicker file discovery. I uninstalled P3D2.2 from my main C:/ drive and moved it to my SSD (which I named P:/). Upon startup I noticed these issues were there and my Google searches for anything like it came up with nothing. So I figured it must have been something back from when I uninstalled it or whatever so I grabbed my Orbx FTX Global and Vector and installed them but still no dice. Messing around with my shadows and texture settings did nothing either. Looking for anyone who has a solution or has experienced this before. My spe…

I'm getting a massive FPS increase in my testing...& I can't believe its this much of a difference for me. [bUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=1 PoolSize=250000 (Also I used my best AM settings) Would like to hear some confirmation from someone with similar system.

Having already installed various FTX regions i.e.all UK , Pacific Northwest etc (all of which are great), & recently FTX Global, I am now considering whether to invest in FTX Vector. Before deciding, I should very much appreciate comments on the following, by those in the know re Vector. 1. Does Global+Vector make FTX regions redundant. What do regions have extra? 2. As I mostly fly PMDG 737 NGX, is the added low level detail worth the possible elevation problems with my add-on airports such as those by UK2000 & Aerosoft? 3. Is there a list available of the airports that can be restored to their original elevation, so I can check against those installed? A…

I fly primarily online in a relaltively large group. Many use Vector. I'm told that Vector places roads in their real world position. But they almost always are at different elevations when at airfields. I know one instance where the Vector elevation is incorrect and the FSX elevation is correct. I do own UTX, though I haven't installed it for a few years now. I use the Orbx US regions except Northern CA. My question is, whether or no I can use Ultimate Terrain with the Orbx regions and local airports installed. Are there any advantages to having Vector that outweigh the elevation issues? I thank you in advance for your input.
