Good afternoon. Could anyone help me with this issue? I have 3 screens set up for my Prepar3d. One 46'' Samsung TV on top and two dell 22'' below it. My idea was to arrange the 46'' one to be the one showing the scenery and the other two 22" to be the cockpit. My rig is running an Nvdia GTX 670 and have tried to configure it using surround and not ussing it too but no luck at all. A few months ago I was able to set up 3 sreens in line but this time having these two below and one on top I do not know how to proceed. Any idea how to do it? Any tutorial you can redirect me to? For the first time I am considering a graphics card upgrade so I can run Prepar3D better since I understand a more powerful video card will actually help the sim unlike FSX. There are way more knowledgeable people here than me so I'll list my current specs and see what you think. I really like this product but I just wish it could be interfaced with a tablet. The size and shape in portrait is a perfect match. I wonder how much work would be involved to make it compatible? Bob

Does anyone know if there is a demo version of the Carenado Embraer Phenom 100? I am looking for a very light business jet for P3D that has excellent short field performance, a detailed high resolution VC, nice 3D model and textures, good flight dynamics, and good quality sound effects (touchdown and rollout, altitude call out, engines etc). To be honest, I already have a jet that satisfies these requirements perfectly, but since Flight1 are a pain in the backside with respect to allowing use of the Cessna Citation Mustang in P3D, it seems that I need to find another option. any ideas how to fix Fatal error on startup in p3d 2.4?

I have been talking to Stainslaw over at the drezweicki design forums regarding an issue with P3D 2.4( for that matter all previous versions of Prepared) with night lighting over taxiways. Basically when I run the installer and I am using version 1.5, and I am setting no BGL Lights(leaving un-selected) I assume I am requesting 3D lights. Yet in the sim I am getting runway lights and I am getting no taxiway edge or center lights. The only lights I see are runway lights. Selecting BGL lights has proven to be a nightmare because it will cause the sim to run at 1-3 FPS and is a slide show until the scenery unloads when I leave the radius. So, I have everything working pretty well, overall I'm quite pleased with v 2.3 as far as FPS go. I've got sliders fairly close to max, using ORBX Global/Vector, REX, ASN, add on airports, My Traffic, with no tweaks in P3D.cfg. I've got HT turned off on my 3770k 4.7ghz. Typically things are very smooth, and my overall CPU usage is around 50%, core 0 is usually at 100% and the other 3 cores much lower. Everything is fine in add on GA, just cruising around for fun. However whenever I take my two tubes up, the Aerosoft Airbus or the new Lionheart Learjet, while going at crusie speeds, I notice that randomly every few minutes or so core 0 dips and the other three cor…

Hi All, I am just wondering if anyone get BTS RV-7 to work in P3Dv2. I tried using the migration tool but it didn't work. It shows in the selection but system crash when selected and load. I love this plane in FSX and really wish I could fly it in the P3Dv2 environment. Thanks!! kw

I have a triple screen setup with trackir v5.. I've found at least in the case of some craft, that unless i fix the zoom from a ratio of say 0.80 or whatever it might currently be set to, to something like 1.0 that i get distortion on the left and right, where things appear closer than they really are... From digging around online, i'm seeing only one of two options, unless there is something new in P3D v2.3 that can be set to compensate.. i'm seeing (as i've tested), that setting the zoom to 1.0 seems to fix the "objects on the sides appear closer than they really are" issue.. but of course puts you closer to the dash .. this is especially true, as i really sit, mayb…

OK guys I've been a bit of a plonker and in a fit of annoyance I decided to have a clear out and update p3d to 2.4 by doing a full delete and reinstall. And here's where the fun started because some how presumably the migration tool I have managed to delete the scenery database of fsx !!! Anyway not the end of the world it just means having to do a double install of my scenery. But my problem is that I cannot find anywhere a copy of the simconnect.ini file mentioned in Rob's advice on patching 2.3 to 2.4 So could someone tell me how to create or what to install to get this file. I've already installed the latest SDK but no simconnect file Thanks

Hello everyone, Am I the only one to notice that some objects (pylon, TV antenna for e.g) from certains addon sceneries are too much lighted ? From the author or developpers point of view, it something happening on P3D only and not on FSx. These objects bright as-a-whole and it's not a matter of their position light (which should be red). I try to take a picture to illustrate this issue but still image doesn't reflect the living simulator. I may - on request - take other pic if needed.

Evening Sim Fans, Did the SPAD software for the SAITEK Pro-Flight panel stop working with 2.4? My panels are generally unusable now due to a sticky, and delayed response at best. The radios work okay for the most part but the other panels are nearly useless. Have I missed something? The panels still work great in FSX. Thanks, Stephen Luebbert

I'm learning dead reckoning navigation, at the moment, and I had a big lake as recognition point in my flightplan, but when my leg should have ended, there was no lake! I checked the map in P3D and according to the map, I was right on top of the lake. So I checked the lake with the coordinates and in plan-G and on Skyvector I found I indeed should have been over the lake. So I turned off AU SP4 and the Global Base all for sudden showed the lake right under me. Regions from FTX should have more and better detail than Global Base, far as I know. How come that such a specialized addon doesnt show the right land structure? Is this a bug in my system, or is this an proble…

My Carenado Phenom 100 is awesome...! one problem thou, it generates zero FPS just by sitting in an empty airport even with all add-on's turned off. After finishing loading in the SIM and in less than a minute, it begins dropping frames like crazy until it reaches down to zero, rendering the SIM practically inoperative. I read some similar stories with the Phenom 100 and none of them offered a fixing or a solution for that matter. So I open a ticket with Carenado Support but haven't heard from them yet! Have any of you experimented with the Phenom 100 so far? Do you know if there is a fixing or patching available for this problem? I am running P3D v2.3 with …

Ever since installing FTX Global, I'm getting these weird-looking white bridges. How do I get rid of them?

Just wondering if anyone still uses PC speakers for sound anymore. It seems as though most people are using headphones. I was wondering what would offer the best sound? If you are still using speakers, which ones are you using? Thanks

Hello I was reading the prepar3d learning center (found under the tab Help) to find out more about the new display settings . To my amazement the learning center makes reference to some settings that do not exist. For example there is a reference to a Super-sample Anti-Aliasing (SSAA) setting that does not exist. It makes a reference to the Global texture resolution slider that does not exist . Then there is a reference to a Full Screen Exclusive option that does not exist (even though i suspect that this option is actually there with the title ''Full Screen Exclusive''. Anyone makes sense out of this ? i would like also to take this opportunity to ask you if the …

Hi, I just uninstalled UTX with its uninstaller so that I could install Vector with my FTX Global. When I tried to run FSX I got this error message: Scenery.cfg File Error. Local Scenery directory (Scenery\UTExcl\ Scenery in area 126 cannot be found. The same message then kept popping up for areas 128, 129, 130, 134, 135, and 136. I assume it has something to do with UTX. Any ideas?? Thanks. Tom

Hi all, About 1 hour into flight,I get massive ground blurry's,if I attempt to refresh the scenery,it loads to 27% and the sim hangs up. I don't know if it's my settings or if it's all the planes. After installing 2.3 and then 2.4, I've noticed that all planes start with the engines off. This happened in 2.3 and continues in 2.4. Is this a settings issue? Or did something change? Any ideas? I'm all for realism, but sometimes I just want a quick flight. Thank you.

Just bought this and on the whole its not bad however I have double runways and terrain irregularities. If these can't be removed I will have to remove it from fsx. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you correct it? I've posted in the Orbx forums but so far no response from Orbx. Dave
