Anyone else encounter this? I was just testing DSR on a flight in the Q400 approching ES IOM. It was a flight that I saved from earlier because I ran out of time. I loaded the flight up with DSR enabled Factor 2. Smoothing 50%. Just a few minutes into the flight I got the Runtime Error 6025. First time I have ever seen this! I tried it a few time and got the error about the same time into the flight every time. I suspected DSR and restored the Nvidia 3D setting so DSR is off. Loaded the flight again a landed after 20 mins. Seems DSR causes the error. Any suggestion? I am using the WHQL driver 344.48 By the way Prepar3D V2.4

Why cant this work in P3D ? it works in FSX

I was wondering if someone could shed some light as to why the flight planner is so hard to use. Once I select the route and altitude, it is near impossible to get the mouse to drag the route to add waypoints. Sometimes the red line for the route won't even move. Any suggestions anyone? Any insight will be very appreciated. Lee

since i install new driver 344.48 i have blurry big time and poor anti allissing. its such a mess. im rolling over 3 monitor so im on surround mode. so no DSR. and got noticable stutter. cant understand why. nvidia inspector didnt touch and control panel only change AF-16x AMode- overide ASeting 4x thats it. any help will be appreciated thanks

Hi folks At the default heathrow with REX 4 and QW 146 After some minutes I got OOM, with all the readed posts I think its delimma. The question is : LM, Did the addons was in the account during development and production of the P3D V2 ? What you think ????

Really like this freeware version of this plane (located in the AVSIM library) and except for some minor ghost at night skin problems this is a great plane for P3D. Except when it flies for more than approximately 200 miles, I will get a common fault error of MSVCR100.dll fault. At first I did not know what the issue was but I kept flying the same flight profile and eventually figured it out. As long as I did not fly this plane, no crash to desktop. I have looked at the files for this plane and they seem to be ok, I even ran FS Panel over it and could not find a hidden fault. The only thing that I saw may have an impact on the plane is they use a lot of SST gauges…

Are any of the various AI Traffic providers currently making native installers for P3DV2.2? I am aware there are several "workarounds" but I don't want to mess with my P3DV2.2 installation or use EMT. William

Hello Everyone, Just wanted to get a few facts from you guys about Prepar3D before i go and buy it. Recently given up with FSX temporary till i can work out the issue. Anyway back to P3d, basically i've been getting stack hash error's on FSX, so i'm hoping that p3d would work better and maybe not crash at all on my windows 8.1 Pro system. It's very good specs. (Specs on the forum post below). So need some information about if it will run crash free on my system. Secondly is i have the airbus X package and the PMDG 737 NGX, i was wondering if these 2 planes will run on p3d. I've heard things about the 737 and p3d but i thought its best to come here for you recommendat…

Just curious about this. I know they have a panel that you can integrate avionics into or at least the face. A little confusing to me. Bob

P3D v2.4 with/ REX Essentials + Overdrive/ Pilot's FSGRW Just want to see if others are seeing this problem I'm having. While flying in the Caribbean, around Puerto Rico, land-based cloud shadows show up fine. It's the seaside clouds that seem to cast no shadows. I get cloud reflections (exaggerated IMHO) but no visible cloud shadows on the water. So my question, is there a file I can modify to lessen the cloud reflections and strengthen the shadows over water? thanks,

Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this. Everytime I fly the Lear 24 with GTN 750, and I have the pop-up gauge open, the sim crashes. It's random when it occurs but it always happens when I am flying with the GTN pop-up open. I didn't have this issue with the previous GTN version. I'm going to try an uninstall/reinstall to see if that fixes the problem, but if anyone has suggestions, I appreciate it. Todd

I'm an x-plane guy but bought and am trying out p3d to compare. I like the visuals but am having a difficult time calibrating my equipment and keeping it calibrated. Seems I have to run the calibration functions every time I start the sim. I'm able to save a profile and load that to save some time, but it's still a pain and never works quite right. In x-plane I configured everything once and I'm good. Any tips? I have mostly Saitek stuff.

Has anybody else experienced not being able to access the P3D website? I've tried now for a day and still can't access it. Just says it can't be displayed. Tried Ie11 and Chrome, no difference. I need to re-download 2.4 and can't get into my account. If anybody has any info or can confirm that it's happening on their end, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi everyone I do not know what to expect once I finish downloading Prepar3D, I seriously hope that I won't regret it. I have already tried X-plane 10., I simply did not like it. The mouse and wheel did it for me, I hate it. I am not saying xplane is a bad platform, it just didn't click for me. I am a airliner guy, I wanted to be ready when PMDG bring their baby over to Prepar3D, I got the airbus 318/319 it gotta be awesome. wish me luck David

Some years back I "flew" with Microsoft's Flight Simulator and X-Plane and in my early twenties held a Private Pilot's License. However now I'm 83 and retired and want to keep learning and broaden my Simulator experience. I should make it clear however that I've forgotten much of my flying knowledge after being away from Flight Simulation for quite a time. Finally to complete the background information perhaps it's relevant to mention that I use an Apple iMac. I'd appreciate guidance as to whether PS3D would be suitable for me.

Hi, after new installation of v.2.4 it is not possible to load any saved flight. Then "No flight available to load" appears. When I try to save a flight, the flight appears in the correct folder. Also I can see it in the "Save Flight" window. Left of the folder "C:\users\bernie\documents\prepare3d v2 files" is a little closed padlock. My thougts were about file properties e.g. read only or so on. But I proved all is o.k. Can anybody help? Bernie :(

Hi. I have recently switched from FS9 to FSX and am looking for a scenery for a suitable replacement for Just Flight's wonderful scenery for Shoreham EGKA. Shoreham is my closest small airfield, and probably one of the most beautiful in the UK. I have discovered Orbx' Shoreham scenery, but I do not have FTX EU England - and to be honest I have no intention of installing that base scenery. I tend to use aircraft that fly quite high, so I don't need all the detail for flying low and slow in a Cessna for example. I know that you are supposed to have the England scenery installed before you install Shoreham, but I would like to know whether the scenery can theoretically be us…

I've got P3D pretty well tweaked and running great thanks to all the input found here on these forums. However, now that I've started to add some 3rd party scenery with specific P3D installers, I am getting sunken wheels into the taxiways and runways of certain 3rd party sceneries like FSDT and UK2000. Not so with ORBX sceneries. What's the deal with that? Any thoughts. Does it just mean that some developers have to go a bit further when they say their scenery is for P3D v2.4? Lee

Hello everyone, just bought v2.4. New to P3D but long time FSX user. 1. Do i need to touch my cfg file? 2. I have REX it has DX10 options do i enable them? Without any tweaking? 3. ...I'm flying over ORBX's OpenLC's France...and the new HDR system...well...I have never seen the like of it in flight simulation. This is as far as I am concerned....NOT an incremental advancement. My Gawd....FPS through the roof, smoothness of flight, graphics to blow your mind, atmospherics,...you can write ten pages of posts on.... WOW....LM....all I can say...is WOW..... If you would have put this out as P3D v3.0...you could have convinced me with no problem. You guys have broken the performance barrier...and all with a legacy flight engine. No wonder you folks build multi-million dollar defence aircraft....jeez...... Lovin' it...and now …

Hi, I finally got Prepar3D v2 and am not impressed with the frame rate at all - when I start in the default F-35, I get only around 13 FPS at the default start location, with a noticeable lag in responding to controls (as if P3D would render several frames in advance). In addition, the whole Windows system becomes very slow while Prepar3D is running - e.g. I get a lag when scrolling a web page while P3D is running in another window. This never happens with FSX. If I disable the virtual cockpit, the frame rate climbs to 24, which is is again not very impressive. FSX with max display settings runs at about 40 FPS. I've been spending some time on setting up P3D 2.4 for use with the Aerosoft Airbus and I'm getting some pretty nice results. I can fly in and out of all large airports (default P3D airports but with Global and OpenLC installed) without a real drop in performance. All but... Amsterdam. Departing from EHAM isn't a real problem but whenever I fly back there (it's my home airport) performance drops a lot: it becomes a stuttering mess. As I said, no problems with places like EGLL, LFPG, EDDF, but EHAM... So I was wondering if something is wrong with that place...? Or is it just because that part of Europe is very crowded, lots of cities etc.? Anybody else experiencing the…

Hi All, I am thinking of taking the plunge and switching to Prepar---I have a license to use in my IFR Mentoring center but I have been reluctant to make the change--I really was sort of hung up with my top notch PMDG aircraft but I suppose the IFly 737 will be ok---I am after twenty years so very tired of all the limitations (performance wise) with the old fsx software----my question is: Will my Mega scenery work with Prepar and will it blend with Orbx scenery (which is what I do now---I own all the Mega scenery and when I fly outside the Mega covered areas I use Orbx or other specialty scenery like the Lukla Himalayan scenery etc. ---I would really be thankful f…
