When I closed P3D, my Saitek panel exe would close but p3d.exe, although not visible, was still in memory as a process. I went back through what I had installed over the past week and started removing them but still p3d.exe still in memory. I then remembered FSUIPC. I loaded P3D and opened FSUIPC and unchecked wide client and that did it Not sure if anyone else was having an issue. Bob

Hi Everyone I have been having problem everytime I select an aircraft, it will dropped down to the preview view window. Once I have selected it to load, it would freeze. I do have my airbus preloaded in the main menu, from there it will download with no issues. Anyone else has this problem? Thanks

Finally decided to pull the trigger and bought p3d tonight. I am trying to get used to the different menu's and settings and am a little confused on how to get my add-ons I have installed for FSX to install in p3d. FTX Global Active Sky NExt Rex4 Texture Direct FSUIPC vpilot How do I go about using these with p3d? Do I have to download my purchase again and re-install into p3d, or is there another way?

Hi all, as I think I already know the answer, but is it at all possible to get P3D Academic on disc as the download being 30gb way to much for me to download or I'm stuck with fsx which is at the moment running as good as I think fsx can run but would like to give P3D a go. Chewrs Rod.

I recently purchased the ifly 737 for Prepar3D V2.2 and the frame rates in VC mode are dismal. The frame rates make the experience very poor. Frame rates while outside the aircraft are in the 40-60 range and frame rates in the 2D cockpit are in the 40s. I fly in VC mode lending this aircraft unusable.

After having had a break from the FS world for a while I just decided to get a new computer and have another go at P3D2 to see what it could do, the new i7 5820k (OCd to 4.0 gHz) with a dual GTX980 in SLI and 16GB does about as good as I was hoping in terms of FPS on the 2.4 version. I tried to keep the obvious nonsense settings down so traffic at about 5% and autogen at "normal". I get decent 30-40 FPS at most airports and more enroute and at first all is just great with quick texture load times and no blurries. Hello, I just completed a normal tutorial flight 1 from EGKK to EHAM 18R (NL2000 scenery). From EGKK to the Dutch coast 20fps. Approach and landing 10-12fps. Overall smooth flight. I was very happy...! The flight started in 'Default' state (engines running at 8R). I tried earlier to load a c/d state (trick in windowed mode, so no red X) at the gate, but the ND display would't show normal. Only 'map' in yellow. No compass heading and no runway and no wps after programming the FMC. IRS pos in PMDG options set to 'instantly'; received the FMC message dual ops restored... Hi I've select the internet live time because thats is very important to the weather to get it live. but always in the P3D the time is always set to 15:00 unlike in FSX which when I set the internet time in my PC it forcing the FSX to take that livetime. This is very important when I download the static weather should my PC and P3D/FSX set to the live time. How I can make my P3D V2.4 online with the live time ? Thx

Hello guys, I'm using vPilot with my P3D and it only shows CRJ-700 for EVERY aircraft! I have Airbus Extended X A320/A321, Captain Sim 777, QW 757. I already setup vPilot downloading the aircrafts, but still only shows CRJ700 Any help?

I have two airports, Catalina Island and KCRE, where the taxiway surfaces do not render. I have used ADE 1.6 to check that the taxiway links are set to "true" and they are. Yet, the surface textures will not render. I am using P3D V2.4 and have no issues with other airports and have been able to cause the taxiway surfaces to render in those airports that I have found where the taxiway links was set to "false". Anyoneelse have this issue with the two airports, and, if so, have you been able to fix it.? Regards,

I have never seen Pilot2ATC mentioned on this forum so I thought some forum members might be interested in it. It is not free but in my opinion well worth the money. It works with P3D and X-Plane 10. It has excellent voice recognition built in as well as a lot of other features. I have absolutely no financial connection etc. with the author. If you run the patch you need to be at 2.2.10437 (not 2.2.10438 - that's the hot fix). You will need lots of free space on for wherever your OS stores Temp files and/or where your package cache is located ... if you are short on disk space on C: (I believe 20GB free should be ok, but less than that might be a problem), you'll need to make room. You need to make sure you backup 3 directories and delete 4 directories before you applying the patch. Evening All, Out of curiosity I've been searching around various forums and I'm struggling to understand if P3D 'needs' tweaking? I've seen several posts regarding 'Infinity Mask - Job Scheduler' - Are any tweaks really needed in P3D? If some of you do run tweaks, what are you using?

1) When I click on Menu...my entire sim acts like its at 3FPS... 2) often time (not always) It does not display the Menu items...its just a grey square pull down stuff with no items if I remember where the itmes are I can place the cursor and select it...but it just does not show 3) this is the worst. When I select Menu while I don't pause the flight, the aircraf starts going haywire ..even if its on autopilot... and takes a dive. Is it just me? I am on P3D v2.4

Hey. I'm on P3D v2.2. I am thinking about updating p3d to 2.4 since my ASN isnt working correctly after I updated ASN. I cant figure out where to find the patch history for download. Am I missing something, or isnt it possible to patch to the latest version if you happen to have missed a patch (i.e. from 2.2 to 2.4)? Thanks

Hi, All, I am going to put my Prepar on a new SSHD drive that I bought today. I installed Prepar 2.4 right after I bought it and then decided to uninstall it and put it on a different drive. I was unable to put it on a different drive because the only other option available during the install process were the desktop and a folder with my name on it. So I reinstalled the program on my C: drive and started to research a good drive for only Prepar and all my Mega Scenery ETC. I still have the program on my C: drive but will install my new SSHD 4TB drive on my computer tomorrow and then will need to know how to direct the installation to my new drive. I need to know …

I was wondering if there are any freeware options to get routed along big airports? I know about DBS's Follow me but for something that I may only use on occasion I rather have a freeware solution. Anyone knows of any?

I've installed P3D2.4 on a fresh windows 7 install today. I have just noticed something when parking at (UK2000 Xtreme) EGNX East Midlands Airport. I have recently added a new Jet2 schedule (with the new fleet of FAIB paints for the airline), and I noticed that the three Jet2 planes at the airport all seemed to be very dark (much darker grey than they should be). I was about to check this out.....and then the airport lights switched off (because it was early morning, and the Sun was rising). I was looking at one of the Jet2 planes when this happened, and the grey colour on the fuselage instantly changed to a much lighter (and more realistic) shade. I have never noticed this before. Hello P3D community, I need your help with the „Custom Camera UI„ As you might know, in P3D V2 there is a possibility to define you own camera view, using the „Custom Camera UI„ (http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv2/LearningCenter/getting_started/view_system/custom_camera_ui.html) This is a great option, but unfortunately this self-defined camera view will only be available in the current flight. Since v2.4 I no longer have cockpit shadows. Is there a setting somewhere I could be missing? I've got Internal Vehicle Cast and Receive checked under lighting. Is there something else I need to check?
