I was suffering with stuttering in P3d 2.4, I upgraded my GPU to a GTX970 and had a significant improvement but still some stuttering, at UK2000 LHR I was only hitting 21-23 FPS I installed a freeware program called process lasso and noticed that P3d.exe was set to a priority class below normal? setting this back to normal removed my stutters and FPS now hit the lock that I have set at 25FPS I dont know if I did something to set this flag before or whether P3d comes defaulted at this, anyway its improved my sim immensely so it may be worth checking yourself regards

Some airports look fine but when I land the plane goes thru the runway and there is a runway below with walls all around it, any ideas?

no really convincing aerodynamics also at the professional version aircraft with engines off flies like a feather in the thermals I am a bit shocked, I thought it is only in fsx so regards Jürgen

I know P3D license discussions are dangerous territory, but I have read the P3D website, FAQs, and EULAs and cannot find an answer to a specific question I have. I am a scenery developer and would like to work in P3D to adapt some airport sceneries I have made for FSX. However, unfortunately, I cannot devote full time to this work as I have full time contracts that last a few months in which I cannot work on scenery (or anything else). Is it possible to enroll in the P3D Developer Network program for a few months at a time, then cancel for a few months, then renew for another few months when I have time? This setting is not there in default P3d cfg but seems to help immensely with texture loading. (Rob had it his old settings, but no longer it seems?) Without this entry, Parked in Aerosoft Heathrow, I go to spot view and pan around 360 degrees. As various Airport buildings come into view, they are first black and then slowly paint up. Keep doing circles and same building will still be black in the next round before getting painted. Add this entry and they paint up almost instantly and stay painted while circling. Switch back to VC, instant painting. I have 4700MQ @ 2.8 with 755m SLI, ymmv.

In my never ending quest of trying to get the stutters out of my P3D setup, I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun, and each time, I was always left scratching my head wondering why my sim continues to stutter like it's going out of style. Are the runway layouts, numbers, and navaids current in P3D or do they inherit the FSX data from 2006?

Let me start by saying I have been running vpilot in FSX for quite some time now with no issues. I am using the IVAO model sets. I can not get aircraft to show up in Prepar3d though. I am showing all the correct buttons in my add-on tab in p3d and I can talk to ATC but I can't see anything, and air traffic doesn't show up in my view menu. I don't know how to uninstall and reinstall because I can't find an uninstaller and it doesn't show up in control panel. Please help!

So my trusty 2GB GTX670 was golden when it came to games like BF4, Crisis, Skyrim with ENB, and other visually pleasing games, but when I heard about P3D and bought it , not so much. I had to have it, since I've been playing flight sims since I can remember, and and I stopped playing FSX because it frustrated me with the software, hardware limitations, and unpredictable CTDs. My 670 runs great with default settings, everything on max(maybe autogen a level down), with no AI traffic, but craps out when I started to go crazy with addons, and I like my addons. I must really be getting bored because I do not have to keep tweaking P3D like I did with FSX that I now find I have time to try other things. I down loaded a Sky Hawk from AVSIM Library and was so impressed that I decided to try and land on a carrier with it, but No Joy! I did find one at Norfolk in dock but it would not trap. Carriers are not like airfields, so you can't just put in the ICAO code and walla there you are. So for those that have had luck with this, how do I find that carrier that I can land on. Oh and I did go to the avsim library and downloaded some carriers but they dont say to GO to Here! in their installation files.

Anyone tried the Virtavia Grumman HU-16B Albatross in P3D2 and can tell me if it'll work?

Am I missing a aircraft config update? Ever since P3D has come out, the range I get on the default Acclaim is 2 or 3 times what it should be. I consistently get ranges in the 2400 - 3600 nm range. Is there a tweak people are using to bring this down to the real world 1200 nm figure? I know I could just go into the aircraft cfg file and increase the fuel burn ... but I was wondering if there was some other solution, based on better overall flight modeling that I may have missed. Hi, I'm upgrading my setup from an MSI P55-GD65 mobo with an i7-870 CPU (OC at 4,0 Ghz) to an Asus Sabertooth X79 mobo with socket 2011. Which CPU would you advise (4820k or 4930k) ?? Would this make lots of difference ? I get around 30FPS, but when i use multi monitor and Rex Overdrive, i have seriuous FPS drop ... Cheers, Marc.

Currently my cloud shadows are missing they were working fine then I noticed they weren't there when I reloaded the sim. I have shadows enabled, I deleted my shader folder. Any other Ideas besides a clean install?

I'm very happy with the image quality in P3D. It's such a joy to fly it's almost addictive. If I have to nitpick on sth then it's probably the shadow darkness. The darkness of cloud shadows seems to be pretty spot on. Shadows of trees and buildings are just too light and I really hope there is an option that I can make these shadows darker. I'm not using HDR since I don't like it, but even with HDR on I don't think it makes a big difference on the darkness of tree and building shadows. Those shadows often times are just too light to be noticeable even.

Hi guys Through the AVG tune up PC program today when searched for duplicated files, I've found 19129 duplicated file, most of them are textures, addon exe's, Fsx and P3D related wave sound files, Bmp's, as well as so many tga's. Does the deleting of all these files are dangerous procedure can cause a harmful effect and stop my sims (FSX/P3D) ? THX

Seeking iFly 737 experienced users ... I seem to be having considerable problems with this aircraft primarily CTDs frequently even with just simple task like switch to Overhead view ... often I'll get into a situation where I'll get duplicate menu listings under the "Overhead" option ... only way to cure this is to exit P3D and restart P3D then it's back to normal. I'm not having any OOM issues - free VAS is good 600MB, but the error messages indicate errors in: Faulting module in ntdll.dll or Faulting module in d3d11.dll Other oddities ... if I hit Shift + 1 to bring up a panel I just get a black box in the lower half of my monitor, if I hit Shift + 2…

If you guys are not familiar with this issue, basically if you record a flight with the Q400 in P3D V2.4 the playback is like watching a strobe light with the aircraft jittering from one position to another. Flying the Q400 is perfectly smooth but that play back GRRRR! Anyone know how to fix it?

Hello Everybody I´ve been using P3D with Sweetfx from the start through all versions with great performance, I find it pretty much essential, at least to tone down the saturation and sharpen a little bit. Now all of a sudden I get a strange behaviour, Sweetfx works after a fresh install, but as soon as I change the display setting in P3d the effect is gone, after that it still works on start of P3D but quits after i click the Menue or go to full screen, no error or whatsoever just no effect. I´m using the current 344.48 Nvidia driver on a Win7 64bit system, I rolled back the driver to a previous version but that didn´t do the trick either. The funny thing is it app…
