Had FTX Central to FTX Global before installing some NA patches. What are the consequences?. Can I remedy this without a complete reinstall of everything? Thanks.

I'm having problems with FPS being lower than usual and upon checking processor state, I noticed that the core 0 is only giving me about 60-70%, instead of the 95-100% I'm used to. Sometimes I see it go up to around 80% and this is immediately noticeable on the FPS, but not long after it drops back to around 60%. I'm using P3D2.4 with FTX Global/Vector/OpenLC with freeware airports, FS Global, REX4, ASN and some Vidan Design airports and prepar3d.cfg is not tweaked. Anyone who has any idea on what can be wrong here, or how to fix it?

Hi folks, For whatever reason joystick and other game devices disppear from the Controls list within P3D. You only get this ...'mouse yoke" thingy and that's a hassle because some settings can't be done with FSUIPC but not all of them. Despite P3D team claims it's a Win 8.1 issue with USB and power management (which isn't exact) there is a workaround. Launch the simulator. Select the flight called "The Deep". Because it has no joysticks assignation you'll get all your devices listed. Make your changes and close P3D. That's it. Next time you'll launch P3D your changes will be saved. Warning! You have to select the Deep as your first flight after launching…

It appears as though inspector has no effect on my antialiasing settings in the sim. I've tried a myriad of combinations but the most apparent example is I set the setting to override application settings and set it to a moderate 4x MSAA and I see absolutely no antialiasing. I have FXAA and 0 samples set in the sim settings but it appears as if the ovveride doesn't do anything, what am I doing wrong? The only way I can get any results is through settings in the sim. On another note although when I enable DSR a new resolution option shows up in the sim, the DSR doesn't appear to have any effect on smoothness. I have all of the FTS NA regions, and I recently purchased FTX Global Base. When I run FTX Central should I select North America when I am flying in those regions, and Global when I am flying anywhere else in NA? That's what I assumed, but I'm not really seeing differences when I fly in NA outside of the NA regions. Does it leave the Global up everywhere other than the NA areas when NA is selected in FTX Central? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I would appreciate direction on this issue! Thanks, Bill

That's what happens sometimes at 80% of loading the scenery. Is there a way to avoid this from happening? I am asking because custom meshes within a scenery seems to be ignored when this happens and everything gets flattened. As an example: LGAV by FlyTampa. It has a custom mesh for the hiway that crosses the airport. After 'Adjusting Scenery Objects' this hiway is at the same level as everything else. I have to go into scenery settings, adjust mesh resolution a bit, then the scenery reloads (without adjusting this time) and the mesh is ok. Hello everyone, I downloaded ASN for P3D V2.4 and installed it and installation of ASN went fine then when I selected and loaded ASN it asked me to install ASConnect for P3D. I selected to install ASConnect and it installed it and finished, however after I selected ok to finish the installation the same command came right back and asked me to Install ASConnect for P3D again and again saying the install was successful. All the ASN files loaded in P3Dv2.4 but can't get the ASConnect to work? Any ideas what might be the problem as to why the ASConnect says installed and keeps me in a circle? Thanks Lamar

Other than getting EZDok or other addon payware, I was wondering if there was a way to have the zoom function take 'smaller steps'. When using either the keyboard for zooming in and out or the mouse wheel (FSUIPC), the zoom will go quite a bit farther than I would prefer. If there is a setting in a configuration file I can change on that, I would be most grateful for someone telling me where it is and what effect the changes might have.

I can assign a lever axis to the propeller pitch and when I look in the cockpit, I can see the associated lever move as I move the lever on my controller so, that seems to work just fine. The thing is that whether the lever is at 0% pitch or 100% pitch, the aircraft responds exactly the same to throttle...like it's stuck at 100% all the time. If I try to take off with the lever set at 0%, I can do so easily even though I do get a warning light. So, it would appear that I either do not understand prop pitch or I have not properly configured my controls... This is with P3D default aircraft like the King Air 350 and such... all the propeller aircraft I have tried…

Some FSX only airports like Imagine Sim's VIDP perform poorly in P3D. Ideally the developer has to release a P3D version, but until that happens, there is a solution. I chanced upon this when I saw a solution to missing objects/buildings in P3D vs FSX as reference (e.g. Thai Creation Mumbai). Looks like there is difference in the BGL format for P3D vs FSX, this difference sometime causes invisible buildings or performance problems. Hi ORBX experts, Really enjoying my new FTX Scotland scenery which I only just got the other say. This is an initial impression which was a slight (and only) annoyance. I fly a lot in the Hebrides (eg Barra) and Skye areas, and NW Scotland and although today is 29th November, all the ground textures are covered with snow and it looks like Alaska. Not perhaps being the greatest expert on W Scotland and I'm not suggesting it never snows in Scotland, I do believe that snow on the ground in that part of the world is rare, particularly when the temp today is 8 degrees C. I was able to install my existing copy of UT2 via the EMT into P3D 2.4. I edited the XML file and all was working fine (including the autostart via the XML). However, when I installed the Summer/Fall 2013 Schedule (with EMT and the virtual FSX enabled), I got a weird windows unhandled exception error when I went to launch the UT2 interface (have to force close it from the dialog box that pops up). I'm able to manually load the 2013 traffic into P3D after P3D startup, but no luck on the interface -- I really want to tweak the limiter options like I could in my initial installation (yes, tweaking the traffic level does work using the in-game menu bar). Rex texture direct is on offer and I'm wondering is it a worthy purchase for p3dv2.4 I own rex overdrive but don't use it.

Does anyone make a creditable mesh for the state of Pennsylvania. It seems that all the mesh I see is partially global in that it covers a region and is price in the $70 area.

Hello everyone. As everyone know , Rex is working on new weather engine Rex Weather Direct. I bought Rex 4 texture yesterday and looking for weather engine. ASN has %20 discount on their products. I have had problems with PIlots mesh for the Americas in several places outside the Orbx regions. So I just removed it. I really don't notice much difference when I'm flying in those areas. Especially in the Yukon aruond Faro. It may be my system, or maybe not, but lakes sitting on 100 foot high craters just doesn't do it for me. Since about 80% of my flying is in Orbx North America which already has mesh I'm wondering if additional mesh is worth the aggravation. For me it isn't. About 10% of my flying is around my home in New Mexico and in the canyonlands of southern Utah I can say I hardly notice the difference if addional mesh is there or not. I…

Hay guys, I was thinking of getting fs global, already have ftx global and vector. So I was wandering if I install fs global 2010 last, will it mess up ftx global and vector. Reason Im asking is it would seems to me that you would want to install fs global 2010 first, not last.

I found some very nice airports from Vidan Design for P3D2, but several others, as well as the freeware airports are for FSX and I notice that those dont always install completely. Some buildings do have the underground and interior, but doesnt show the building itself. Does anyone have any experience with Vidan FSX airports in P3D, who can tell me if there's a way to install them completely?

Ok I did my Google search and did not see if these panels are going to work. Just built my mini GA pit/panel and have all of the Saitek Panels (soon the Instrument Panel) as well as a Goflight panel. No word over on SPAD I will post there but Max has not been around for awhile. Did not check LINDA but I have little doubt that those amazing guys are on top of it (like they always are). I hope RemoteFlight will also follow with support. Vrinsight GPS...I wonder. Desktop Aviator GPS...
