I want to buy a new pc that can run the pmdg 777 on addon scenery like UK2000 and the rest of must have addons (REX, FTX Global,...) and get above 25 fps in the cockpit. Is this possible with these specs ? I5-4690k overclocked up to 4.6 ghz MSI Z97 GTX 960 2gb 8gb ram I know tweaks must be applied

How can the Nvidia profiles be save? Can't find it in the manual nor web site. Thanks Using 8.1.800.0 Nvidia control panel.

Hi - I had an odd issue last night while flying a short flight in the NGX. On approach and landing after about a 40 minute flight, I did not have any autogen loading in and some of the airport taxiway textures were not loaded in once I landed. About 30 seconds after landing, I saw the autogen trees pop in around me but the texture issue never resolved itself. I've been using P3D for about a month and have not seen this happen before. I did take a look at my VAS and it was around 1GB so it does not appear that was the issue. Does anyone know what would cause this type of problem?? Running an i7-4770 3.9 w/GTX 970. Thanks! Eric

Fixing to upgrade from a GTX 670 to a GTX 980. Should I re-install P3D or can I get by with deleting the shader cache and moving the Prepar3D.CFG out of the "C:\Users\user-name\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\" and have the program re-build a new config? I already updated my BIOS and did not have any re-validations issues with P3D - What about upgrading the video card? will it be fine without having to do a re-install??

Who of the you are regular users of VATSIM? Is it worth using or is it trolled by kids? Any general feedback good or bad would be useful. Im mostly flying the PMDG737 so it would be good to add a controlled environment to the flying to make things even more fun than they already are.

Did they take the month of April off? Posted many threads in the support forums in the last week and not one answer. I know the Orbx fan bois will differ but Orbx "support" for the most part is el crapo. Getting to be as bad as FSS "support".

I've noticed that the external shadows on an aircraft vary from model to model. Some are very jagged and won't improve no matter the setting, others look great even on low settings, and some only look good on high settings. Is this common experience? Also, I'm guessing reflections don't work on FS9 models? Specifically, I'm trying to get them to show up on an Overland A319. I've put environment maps in the texture folder but nothing seems to work. Thanks for any input.

This is getting so overwhelming.. Every timne I start my Sim I see additional Joysticks being added and Axis asigned to these.... Its driving me mad. What are these 4 Axis 32 button Joysticks 1-4? I have no idea what "gadget" is tied to hose? how do I get rid of that? Any ideas? And also how do I prevent these Sims for doing this ?

I recently purchased GSX and was excited to use it. I loaded in to test it and it was fine. I shut off my computer and then went to do a flight the next day and my Prepar3D crashed on startup. There are no messages that pop-up and there is nothing in the Event Viewer. I have been into my dll.xml and exe.xml and have disabled everything and then added it back in one by one and came to the conclusion that it is the addonmanager.dll. I then uninstalled GSX and downloaded and installed the latest addon manager from the FSDreamteam website and re-installed GSX but to no evail. Would anyone be able to help me with this?

Last week I've bought the Realair Turbine Duke and I'm a bit confused about the maximum airspeed. On the info page, on the Realair website, it says this aircraft has a max airspeed of 300kts TAS and to me this seems pretty fast for such a small aircraft. Especially since the airspeed indicator has a maximum of a little over 200kts, with a red line at 200kts. So my guess would be that the 300kts might be a typo... I've been looking through the documentation, but I cant find any performance tables. So when flying, I simply keep the airspeed below the red line at 200kts, but still I keep over-stressing the aircraft. Could someone tell me what the actual maximum airs…

Hello, I just installed Switzerland pro X on my p3d2.5(hotfix3). Airports (I currently only use stock) night lighting aren't visible. Worse, sometime they appear a fraction of a second and disappears (depending on my view point). My add ons are FTX global and FS Global Ultimate Europe. Other non airports lights are visible. Did anyone see that ? Any idea how to solve the problem ? Thanks a lot

Hi, I am starting to get these "bootmgr missing" yesterday. It all started when i was loading a saved flight with the NGX and P3D2.5. I have a Asus Z97-Pro motherboard with latest Bios and a SSD 128GB Windows 7 64bit. Are there any simmers outhere who have experience this ? Its all new to me actually. I never had any issues of this before. The SSD is about 2.5 years. So far it only happens with P3D. I have done a system repair (startup repair) from the original windows DVD and setup BIOS afterwards . It seems like the BIOS after the crash is failing to recognise my bootdrive . This time around it crashed just after landing EGLL-EKCH and about 2 h…

If you have the great scenery, and have noticed your mountains and rock outcroppings around the town of Sedona, are blunted, with rather blurry non-defined textures....you need to have a LOD_RADIUS setting of no less than 9.5 for the photo-real textures that were used, to coalesce, and come into focus. I had always used a setting of 6.5, figuring that was enough, as the default is 4.5. Nope.... 9.5 is is from now on...for I have even better detail around the whole of Sedona...and man was I missing out with a setting of 6.5! Hey guys, I was able to successfully install My Traffic V6 onto FSX, however I am unable to do so in P3D. I followed the instructions as outlined in the installation guide , fire up the sim, add the scenery folder and no traffic. I am also getting the error below. Uninstalling and re installing and yet I get the same problem, No Traffic ! Any thoughts? I have been trying to download the free P3D ORBX demo of the Olympic Peninsula as offered on their site (AUS Server), but have been unable to do so...The download begins to run, interrupts, then the download time increases and eventually stops, apparently complete...But, the .exe file will not run and all sorts of error messages pop up indicating that the file is corrupt...Can anyone advise? Hi guys, Some of you already know that I have a fullsize 737-900 cockpit which uses P3D v2.4. Because of the work on the panels and programming in SIOC I have not updated to v2.5 yet. Surely I have read many topics about v2.5 so I know about fixed menu issues ( drop in free VAS ) and some other improvements , like correct colors when using Night Environment. For me the most important to know is if v2.5 looses the free VAS less fast then with v2.4. Now when starting a flight at Amsterdam Schiphol I have 1.037.540 of free VAS. How longer I fly the lower the free VAS is getting. After half an hour there is only 467.000 of free VAS. And after 30 minutes there…

Does anyone know how to use DSR- I believe I'm doing it incorrectly. In the NVIDIA settings (global), I check the boxes for the available resolutions... Then in P3D, I select a higher than native resolution, 3840x2160 for example. Do I go into fullscreen mode now? The result is basically a slide show with 0.2 FPS- and I can only recover by taking it out of fullscreen. Or... do I set my windows resolution higher and then in-game, set the resolution to native?

Since 2.5 my VAS usage has gone up alarmingly, I can hardly finish a flight, not even short hops in PNW are a problem. Now I'm trying to free up VAS and turned resolution down from 4096 to 1024, but now my REX 4 runway textures are getting so bad, it's really disturbing to look at. It seems more like there is no resolution left at all. Left 4096, right 1024: For starts, a resolution of 1024 should give a sharp pictures, I've seen way lower resolution with way better quality than is seen on the right side of the picture. Is this normal, as in do other people have the same? And what can I do to make 1024 resolution usable? What is seen on the right side of the pi…

I just reinstalled this aircraft last week and am wanting to fly it on Pilot Edge, however I am running into a comm issue. The comms don't work because the hundredths digit is off. For example, if I want to dial in 118.00, I can only get 118.01. I did a lot of testing and confirmed that is in fact an issue with that digit. I was wondering if there is any way to correct that. I am noticing strange things happening sometimes with simconnect and ezdok when using p3d 2.5. At certain times the simconnect popup window will show up and say something about not being able to connect. I don't recall the exact message but it was something along the lines of simconnect can't connect 10 seconds or something. and then EZCA won't show up under the Add-on Menu once P3D loads up. So I have to exit and load up the sim until EZCA finally shows up and is active. I have a lot of add-ons and sometime the sim takes a very long time to load, especially when it loads the terrain, it usually pauses at 6% loading screen for maybe 5 minutes. At this point EZDOK won'…
