Hello. I have OBRX Base pack, OBRX vector and land class europe. My problem is that I don't know how is the right order to put them in the scenary library. Hi I'm using p3d 2.5 and noticed that if i don't put the tessellation up to max i can see the terrain loading underneath me.is there an issue with it in 2.5. my FPS are locked at 27.so no issues there. in mountainous areas it's very noticeable or flying low in ga i can see the terrain popping into shape.i have it set to high at the moment,can't set it to ultra as i get oom's steve

Hello all, I've got P3d up and running with all my favorite addons and it runs great. FPS is good and I finally have the sim I've been waiting for! Sounds great right? I have one massive problem though, something strange is going on and I end up with lots of areas that have 'black' water. This is mostly refined to smaller lakes and rivers, but it is absolutely annoying. I know for a fact it's not my addons because I noticed the problem when I did the base install. I figured by adding REX and Global that it would clear up, but sadly it did not. Any suggestions?

Hello, The title says it all. I've done several searches trying to find a definitive answer to this but still am not quite sure. I have Vector now but really do 99% of my flying in EU so I'm thinking about getting UTX EU v2. I know at the very least it is probably more accurate due to its use of commercial data. But, my biggest thing I'm looking to gain here is VAS. Some reports I've seen is that Vector uses 800M. I haven't tried disabling it yet myself to verify that number but that seems like a lot! Numbers I've seen for UTX EU are around 400M. That's quite a savings if it's true. Anyway, can anyone help out with their results? Thanks!

Hi folks, I have been installing my first basic addons on FSX, to start making it look nice, however I've run into some issues that I'm not quite sure how to solve... First I installed FTX Global and Vector, along with REX4 TD. Tried to load up a few flights to see the differences, etc, and I'm pretty sure I must be doing something wrong, vpbecause I really don't see much... I was starting out at Houston Intl. But this difference or not can wait. You see, I paised in the middle to install my mesh, which is FS Global Ultimate Americas, and after reloading a flight and not seeing much difference I said "sure, Houston is pretty flat anyway, let's go elsewhere..." Can anyone recommend any scenery to use while flying into/out of the NY metropolitan area? Looking for something that wont destroy frame rates and generate OOM messages but still gives some of the eye candy found in the area.. Thanks, Chris

I recently installed FTX Global Base. After installing, I noticed something strange. After a long flight (more than 30 minutes or so) when I approach the landing airport, I notice the scenery for that airport is messed up (runways appear to be "under the ground", general scenery mis-matches, etc). This happens for both addon airports and the default FSX airports. At first I thought it might have something to do with the hybrid mode for FTX, so I tried it both ways, I still get the same problem. To handle VAS better I was wondering if it would be possible to set the height at which autogen would appear ? For people with VAS issues they could set the altitude lower at which ag would appear. Eg : 4000 ft and lower -ag appears on a multi monitor setup / 7000 ft and lower for a 1 monitor setup JustMy2Cents...

I haven't been around in a long time, but wanted to get back into flight simming. I eventually plan to retire and uninstall FSX once and for good off my system and use P3D and X-Plane. Been seeing some great looking shots especially these cherry blossom type trees in spring and naked trees in winter now I am not seeing any of this - I thought all of the promotion screenshots were a factory flightsim install and only now I thinking Orbx was posting fat regions to sell their product - prove me wrong please - show me cherry blossoms and naked winter trees (please provide location and time of season) so I can enjoy what I thought I was getting - here is some shots I was referring to: thank you

I use to use Remote Flight HD app to track my current flight on a map using the iPhone/iPad when using FSX. But this doesn't seem to work with P3D. Does anyone know of a good app that communicates with P3D 2.5 to show my plane's position in real time on a map?

You can see the entire length of Oak Creek Canyon....heck..practically for 20 miles out...and clear..and in focus. I've read that P3D will only go as high as 6.5...but...do an A/B check with those two settings, and see if there is a quantitative difference.... Check it out.

I am currently using version 2.4 and am very happy with the way P3D runs on my system, I understand that in order for me to upgrade to 2.5 I have to uninstall all my add ons and P3D itself and start from scrach? As I have quite a few add ons ( lots of ORBX regions/ global and a few payware aircraft) Can anyone advise me if it's really worth upgrading or should I stick with 2.4 for now? The thought of starting again is not a pleasant one ,

A couple of days ago all movement by ground personnel, passengers, etc stopped. They arte still in place but no movement of any kind (even the window washer at KJAC is a slacker). I have made no changes in any settings and no new installs except for the updated ORBX Global free airports. This morning I re-ran makerunways,exe, Latest ORBX Library (March, 2015),double checked FTX Central v2 settings, Vector Configurator, and all settings seemed correct. Yes, the title is dangerously close to the well known "Clouds kill FPS in 2.3", but I've noticed this in 2.5 as well. Even with unticked "enhance overcast conditions" in ASN and medium cloud coverage density set within P3D, my FPS is cut in half when flying through clouds. Noticed it yesterday when flying out of Stockholm Arlanda in the NGX at dusk. Fair weather with only some clouds in the air. However, when breaking into the first cloud FPS dropped from 35-40 to 13-15. If ASN simulates overcast and rain/snow, then I can forget about flying - even in a default GA. However, if I run one of the weather themes such as "major thunderstorm" or "heavy snow" with a lot of …

really newb question. I only fly in one country. (NZ) I have the orbx NZSI and NZNI regions installed, do I get any benefit by also getting base and vector installed? or is that only to improve regions that you dont have specific packs for?

A lot of people miss the full extended sounds in P3D for both aircrafts. To get all these sounds back for the Legacy and Duke V2 you only have to replace the sound gauge for both planes. I don't use any migration tool. Here are the steps to get them back fully working : 1. Install the Duke and the Legacy 2. Download the dsd_fsx_xml_sound_v520 archive from Doug Dawsons's homepage 3. Unzip the archive into a temporary directory 4. Make backups from RASDuke_Sound.gau and RASLegacy_Sound.gau in your gauges directory 5.
