Hi there, I purchased FTX global yesterday from flightsimstore. I installed in FSX first with no problems. I ran FSX and tested day aswell as night. Then I did the same thing for P3D and noticed a huge difference, is this normal? What version is right and what is wrong? What should I do? I kinda think the fsx one is right, but it seems odd to? Is this how it is supposed to be? The P3D (v2.5) version looks completely off... I installed in v2.5 doing to following: I installed ftx global base, got the error in ftx central it couldn't find the terrain.cfg, installed latest libraries and then it worked. I have Orbx NA California but I am flying in LAX and have no 3d lights. My ftx night lights are selected. I have autogen to very dense and complexity dense. It's taking a big hit on my fps but I still see no lights. I'm at 4000 ft as well.

Guys, I have installed my Track IR but cant seem to get it to work on P3d 2.5. It detects my DCS and works fine but not P3d. Any suggestions on how i can make this work please? Regards

Hey there, Just purchased LatinVFR's KSNA at simMarket's Deal of the Day. While simMarket ad says it's compatible with P3Dv2 I noticed issues with their water - the watermask is showing right through. Doesn't look too good. Are others seeing this? Talking about the Newport Beach Back Bay area (next to the airport). Overall still very good but I thought I would inquire in their forums. Just discovered their forums are locked and one cannot send an email via their contact page. Anyone know how to contact them?

Some time when I change the location and the new location has been loaded the system is on pause. When I un-pause the system the aircraft is lifted up and falls back on the runway, crash. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Other aircraft on a runway, after take off and before landing appear in a light ball. This seems disturbing. Is there a solution to take these light balls away?

Thinking about picking it up since I fly low and slow a lot. Does the trees shimmer a lot though? I use 8xMSAA but no FXAA because it smudges edges too much. Also, what's the consensus on performance in P3Dv2.5? better, worse or not much of a difference? Feedback would be much appreciated. Cheers!/Andreas

is that normal to swing wildly between 30's to 100 's.this all happens in the space of a few seconds. Only noticed this because i installed the new HD trees.never normally look. Can't say in the past that the fps counter was that extreme. I have it set to 27 but changed it to unlimited to see what my average frame rate was. thanks for any ideas steve

Am wondering if anyone else is having stutters with MyTraffic 6 in Prepar3d 2.5. I'm running some tests and trying to tease out whether my issues are related to MT6 or to my new UTX USA 2.1 installation, but what I've noticed so far is that I experience sharp stutters with MT6 at 20 percent (airlines + GA); that they're reduced if I 1) limit frames to 33 and 2) reduce MT6 traffic levels (at lower levels the stutters are less severe but still there)... but the only way to eliminate them completely is if I turn MT6 completely off. Afternoon guys, I have a problem with FTX Wales Scenery. I have installed it info FSX and P3D 2.5 using the installer. Its fine in FSX but in P3D things are missing. The Millennium Stadium is just a grey slab of concrete and despite setting it up in the same way the AI BA 747's at the maintenance base at EGFF will not appear in P3D. Anyone else encountered this or have any solutions on a resolution? Thanks Jay

I have noticed that there is a shader cache option in the NVidia Control Panel to save CPU usage by caching the shaders on disk. Is this necessary for performance gains since P3D is already caching the shaders??

RTFM! You need to set your MAX Texture to 4096 Set Central v2 to FTX GLOBAL LOD to 9.5 for FSX.x ....for best visual performance as per the Manual. Set yourself up at airport: W43 to start, with over 800 sq miles to explore. Hello, I'd like to do a clean reinstall of both P3D and FSX. P3D isn't too much of a problem because I don't have that many addons installed, but FSX is a different story. Can I just reformat the drive that they're on and run CC Cleaner to take care of the registry entries or do I have to uninstall each addon separately before I uninstall the base sims?

In [Display] section in prepar3d.cfg found SSAA = 0. How is the SSAA behavior, 0 = off and 1 = on? Or other values indicating the level to be implemented, 2 or 4 or …? Finally, SSAA line is working ?, Several values placed and AA does not change. João Alfredo

Hi guys, Last weekend I went over from 2.4 to 2.5. I deleted all 5 folders before installing 2.5 and all addon scenery from 2.4 show up in the scenery.cfg file. Yesterday I installed UTX v2 . Afterwards I made a flight over the Netherlands where I use photo scenery. All went well. Today I wanted to see where those entries where in the Scenery Library, but when I clicked Scenery Library in the menu I got the following erorr message : If I click OK it shows the same window , but with Area 003. After I have clicked all 354 entries I get the library window with only Area 1. All the others do not show up. However P3D clearly showed all Area. I have r…

I really need help... I'm a total beginner and having a hard time trying to configure Prepard... Installed Version 2.5.12945.0 and latest Saitek drivers. At first no problem at all. I was able to assign some functions to my extras buttons on X45. Everything was OK… Them I reduced sensitivity for elevator. Everything normal for a couple of days and all of sudden P3D stopped fully recognizing X45. I say fully because I still I have all the assignments working OK except for the sensitivity on yoke. Hey. All of my flights are online on VATSIM, but sometime I feel alone and I wanna use the offline AI traffic. The problem is, the default P3D/FSX atc just doesnt programed to use SIDs and STARS. Is there any good atc addon around that will assign SIDs and STARs for my plane and the AI?

Hi Guys, So I've recently bought Prepar3D 2.5 and already finding issues. I run 4 screens, 3 on surround on a gtx 970 at a total res of 5760x1200 and a small vga monitor on another card for maps. Anyway I get a lot of stuttering. I'm not finding fps very stable either. I have been streaming through OBS aswell which was part of the middle screen and at 1920x1080 res streaming. Anyway I use NVidia inspector purely to set fps to 30. I've tried just without any tweaks and with and still this horrible stutters in the vc and unstable 20-30fps. Below will be my current config. I am fully aware of the current sli situation regarding driver optimisations but I have seen people in various places saying that they do see a slight improvement when using sli. Has anybody here actually tried sli with any recent nvidia cards? If so what happened? Im not expecting huge increases but if I can see a slight increase it might be worth it for me as Im running at 4k and could do with a bit more when using complex aircraft. The cost of another 970 isn't too great so if it was say 20% or more improvement I might go for it. Ultimately it is a personal choice for everyone as to whether sli is worth it or not but it would be good to know details so I can d…

Keep getting a P3D error right in the middle of flights regardless of the aircraft I'm flying. it always faults menus.dll. Done a search in this forum under menus.dll but nothing came up. Any advice/help appreciated. Regards
