Does anyone know if one of theses 2 plane is working on Win 8.1 and P3D ? I know it's not supported by the developer but I am curious to know if anyone was able to make it work.

Forgive me if this has been answered a zillion times... Is there a setting to have *all* the runway environment lights on when "within x distance of the runway", etc? It seems that no matter what I do, when I'm on approach and just a mile out (and less) there are always still runway edge and touchdown zone lights "appearing" (turning on) and it just kills the realism of an IFR approach for me. Is this a sim/memory/scenery LOD issue perhaps? Thanks

Hello I have tried numerous times in the past 4 days to try and get validated on ORBX forums, and everytime I click on the link to validate it says OOPS SOMETHING MUST HAVE GONE WRONG. They dont answer any of their emails under [email protected] .I have bought the PNW scenery from FSS. This is hands down the worst support out of all the scenery developers. Does anyone have any suggestions? D

Vladimir and Sergey Zorin Kalapyshev have created a masterpiece, their talent is astounding, the scenery they have created for the city of Arkhangelsk, the surrounding airports of Talagi International Airport (ULAA) and the smaller Vaskovo (ULAH) is absolutely incredible. Hi I just installed P3D onto my system along with Orbx land classes and uk2000 sceneries. I'm only getting 16-20 fps on stand at EGCC UK2000 Is there anyway to make the frames better ? Just Installed NZSI.....running FTX Global setting in Central in "hybrid" mode.... is that the best setting to use for NZSI?.. or should I switch to "Oceania" area for better results...thansk, John H.

Please move if in the wrong forum. Just wondering what Sky, Cloud textures do you use? The default are OK however looking for something better. In FSX I used REX, but they have released a new clouds addon. What does everyone use for their sky textures?

Dear Sirs, after purchasing FTXGlobal base (which worked flawlessly), I wanted to upgrade adding Vector. The installation went on without problems, but as soon as I start the simulator (prepar3d 2.5) I hear the "sound" of the plane of the default flight, but the screen remains black for a couple of seconds, then prepar3d closes to desktop. I didn't have any problem with other add on till now (I use REX Texture direct, FSGlobal 2010 and the above mentioned FTX Global base). If I manually delete the Vector folders from the Prepar3d main folder, the simulator runs again without problems. Anyone had the same problem or have the idea of a possible cause for this? I was able to get my Shade program from FSX to work with P3D so I've been messing around with it and the visuals are quite stunning, but I prefer to have HDR off when using it. I was wondering if bloom is enabled when it is turned off as I don't notice any bloom effect. If it is enabled, is there an adjustment somewhere to boost the effect a bit? Thanks! Eric

I would like to ask how you guys manage to populate Hong Kong with AI Traffic. I own FT - VHHX and T2G - VHHH but I am unable to set AI flights using both payware airports. I am using the last version of P3D v2.5 and My Traffic x v6. In VHHX I am unable to set AI to use the airport even using historical schedule prior to 1998, and on VHHH I couldn´t get any AI to use the airport after the airport install no matter what I do (e.g. disabling shadows, deleting MT AFCAD, etc.) which it's strange because MT v6 is working quite well in all of my other payware airports and default ones for that matter. I've seen quite a few messages here on Avsim that seem to indicate a general dislike for the way water is shown in P3Dv2.5, and the impression I have is that many feel that it looks much better in FSX. I do think that FSX with Steve's DX10 Fix did a great job showing water, I also feel that P3Dv2.5 does quite a good job. What is your own experience? Do you like it or dislike it? Do you have any magic settings that you feel make it look much better than the default look in P3dV2.5? Sorry for dredging up this thread, but I would like to know if there is a way to restrict the brightness of daylight in P3D. Chris Bell (The Night Environment bloke) told me that I could use those "Day_Threshold=" and "Night_Threshold=" statements for this, but they did not work as I expected. What they did do is change the times at which airport and other lights are switched on and off. So, I am still searching for an answer to my original question. Is there a way to restrict the brightness of daylight in P3D? I would like to stop it getting any lighter once the Sun has risen a short distance above the horizon. When selecting the F-86 aircraft the program will run fine until I select the same aircraft but different skin, or when, for instance, selecting A2A Cessna Skyhawk after the F-86. In FSX I had FsContrails which added extra realism to the MyTraffic AI aircraft. With P3Dv2 I rarely see a contrail. Anyone has nice looking contrails behind the AI aircraft ?

I got myself T2G VHHH and it is runing along P3D v2.5 latest version and My traffic x v6 but I am unable to see any ai traffic on the airport? Any suggestion tip regarding this issue? Regards, AK

Just got GSX for P3D 2.5 yesterday. Sounds like once GSX is being activated, all EZDOK (1.18 beta) user-assigned keyboard combinations stop working. Is there any remedy for that? Thanks Dmitriy PS. Posted on their support forum, but still no answer PSS: The problem has been solved

Just downloaded NZSI from FSS.... it goes almost all the way through the install and then asks for "Disc 2" If I try..."ignore" nothing happens... same with "retry".....if I choose "abort" the installer quits...I've looked in FTX Central and it is not installed... I am on a gaming computer running W-7 Pro and P3D 2.2.....last install attempt turned off Firewall and Ant-virus, to no avail....any help appreciated...John H.

Hello I'm new in this forum. I have tried and tried to get runway lights visible in Prepar 3d. I have read that I should update my Nvidia driver. Nut I don't have Nvidia. (I have AMD Radeon HD 8570) I'm using Prepar 3d v2,5. Does anyone have a solution to this? Its only a problem with Aerosoft's addons. :o

Hey guys, I know EarthSimulations scenery no longer exists, but I found a boxed version so ordered it and it arrived today, it's the IOM scenery and Guernsey. I was hoping to install them into P3D 2.5, but Earth Simulations installer only offers FSX or P3D 2.4. I've tried using the Migration tool but this couldn't find the Scenery.CFG so couldn't install properly, same with the P3D 2.4 installer. I really would like to use these sceneries in the P3D 2.5, so if anyone has succesfully install them, I'd be grateful if you could let me know how you did so :-) Kind Regards, Daniel
