Hi all, Many of you will already have this option set...but not all of you! EDIT: This only applies to HDMI users. So with the recent NVIDIA driver (352.86), some people pointed out that the "Output Dynamic Range" option that was introduced a few driver versions back, was removed from the most recent drivers. This is not the case, the option has simply been moved to "Change Resolution" in the Control Panel. I had this set to "FULL" before installing the new drivers, but I've only just noticed today that it was set to "LIMITED" by default. Guys, just really quick. Is UTX better performing than Vector? I'm on a lower end box (for today's standards) and VAS usage is mega important to me. UTX or stay with Vector?

Orlando... Mickey's runway 35R... What software places the hydro towers in scenery. I've got Orbx global and vector. (there is a feature to show power lines in ftx Global Vector) Do I need to run some calibration tool to make sure all the objects are in their proper place lol Barely avoided a pylon sitting on the left portion of the runway. :blink:

Hey everybody! I'm a huge MD-80 fan and used to fly the Maddog almost exclusively back in FSX. I'd even updated the cockpit textures to look more graphically up to date. However, after switching to P3D V2.5, I have been unable to fly my favorite aircraft, while the plane loads alright, none of the click spots that worked in FSX work in P3D V2.5. This is really disappointing for me, as like I said, the MD-80 is my favorite plane and was always a joy to fly. Anybody have any ideas on getting it to work? Im sorry for making yet another topic, but strange things are happening to P3D on my pc. Like yesterday, suddenly all my controls and assignment was set to default. Thats ok, easy fix. But today.. the Lockheed Martin folder in Program Files (x86) is just gone.. vanished. I try starting P3D via the icon on my desktop, but it telling me that it has been moved. The hard drive it was installed on went from 115 gb free space to 161 gb during the night. The strange thing is though, P3D is still showing under add/remove programs, the folder in both ProgramData and AppData is still there, but the main folder is all gone.. and i dont know where. What could have cau…

Ok, so i've bought REX4-Soft Clouds. I read through the user manual but couldnt find a answer. So i got 16 sets of clouds (whats the point with this..?). Which one should i pick to get the most beautiful clouds - but the best performance?

Hello, When I try to access the scenery library within the sim, I get a message saying that the program was not able to read C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\scenery.cfg to write. I am not able to access my full scenery.cfg in my sim, I've looked for fixes already. My regional language setting is set to English (United States), the security has full control on the file...anybody else know what I can do? Thanks!

So i experienced this mess up today. Yesterday everything was working fine (using Saitek Pro Yoke) and all assignments for buttons etc was perfect. Starting P3D today - BOOM, every assignment for buttons is gone. I havent touched the menus or anything since i configured it all. What the he** happened? Is there some way to get all the assignments back?

Hi, I have for a long time now suffered from what we call stutter or lag when turning, pauses etc like many of this forurm. I have certainly tried all the suggestions and tweaks available. Also have had many OOM problems. I have completed at least 4 flights without OOM. What happened I can't really say except to tell you what I think happened. I stopped using My traffic which was working normally for me in P3D. Did this stop the OOM. Don't know. Then I tried this. Keep in mind this was for stuttering problems with X plane NOT P3D. All of a sudden when I brake an aircraft,any aircraft be it the default or add-ons, instead of seeing puffs of dust at the rear wheels, or instead of seeing plumes of the wash from a float-plane, e.g, Beaver float-plane, I'm getting these square-shaped patterns as in the screenshot. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I have followed the NI settings as per Jim's Guide/Rob's Guide. Thanks for any help.

I bought FlyTampa's KMDW-Miday some time ago and installed it into Prepar3D with no trouble but a problem persists and I don't know what is causing it or if it is fixable. It can sometimes cause VAS issues when it does happen and it doesn't always occur. For some reason, at random, sometimes the taxi lights will spawn all over the airport and will follow my aircraft around on the ground (I just picture them all squawking MINEMINEMINEMINE as they chase me around}. You can see several in this shot that have followed me to the gate. They just go all over the place and it's very annoying when it happens. Hi guys, I'm getting really frustrated with something. I know it's not something that important however i'm a weird perfectionist when it comes to my sim . For some strange reason, I don't have any contrails whatsoever behind my a/c i've bought and tried PreciptFX but nothing and I don't know what the hell i'm doing wrong. I've checked the effects folder and the .dll's are there so can anyone help me with this? :( James

Hi All, Having trouble getting my Saitek yoke & pedals to show up in P3D. I can set them up using FSUIPC even though P3D doesn't recognise them. I want to use EZDOK cameras but as P3D doesn't see them how can I get P3D to recognize them. Thanks to you all, Jetstream

I'm having trouble getting the activation to connect on the above software. I turned off the anti-virus protection but still does not work. I seem to remember that some temp files caused a problem on other downloads. Any ideas? Ron

I'm considering uninstalling a fully loaded 2.4 to upgrade to 2.5. I'm not sure whether that's an entirely dumb idea or not, but it is certainly going to take some time. For those that have made the move, which is probably most of you, is it worth it? Also, before I uninstall 2.4, do I need to 'de-activate' my copy of P3D so that I can install the 2.5 version ? If so, how do I do that?

Hi I've been trying to install David Maltby's VC10 into Prepar3d but it doesn't want to show up in the sim. Has anyone sucessfully got a VC10 to work in P3D? Jay
