Hello, I use P3D v2.5 and fly mainly the pacific northwest. I started with the default scenery, then added Orbx PNW, looks good, then FS dream team Cyvr addon. Now when I taxi around at yvr I see the taxi and runway lines of what looks like 2 or 3 different layouts bleeding thru and they don't always line up with each other. Is there a way to stop this? Maybe a visual order thing or do I need to unload the default stuff? Jim

Hi, I was thinking that I finally achieved the desirable balance of P3D, when new issue hit me out of blue. Recently, I have been fighting the terrain blurries and found out that using FFTF=0.5 and SWT = 0.45 provides the best result for eliminating them. However, terrain.dll has become quite annoying as I approach a certain airports. Has anyone has this issue with modified P3D.cfg? Thanks Dmitriy

I used the Est. Migr. Tool to port all of my FSX planes to P3D 2.5 that don't have yet a dedicated P3D v2 installer (I don't have PMDG planes, but CS, a2a, Carenado/Alabeo, Dig. Aviation, Lionheart etc). However this tool did not work with the Sibwings An 2, everytime I wanted to launch it, P3D crashed and the Sibwings forum was of no real help for my case. After some extensive searching on google (you know the feeling: you have something that you want to use and the more you realize that you can't use it at the moment, the more you seem to want it) I finally found an answer that worked for me: I needed to add the Antonov with its own entry in the P3D dll file. HI all I have just installed all of my FTX addons in P3D v2.5, which includes the FTX Global, Global Vector and region specific packages. I'm considering purchasing Pilots Global Mesh to complement the FTX Global regions. Has anyone else purchased it? Would there be a problem installing it AFTER I have installed everything else already? Thanks

Hi there. I have moved over to P3D for a while now and my experience has been rather disappointing. With P3D i find myself worrying about OOM way a lot more than FSX. I had a more stable performance in FSX definitely. Trying everything but P3D is hard to become stable for me. Anyway so far getting better but getting CTD just like that last 2 times while taxi to active. Both times it happen during taxi to runway before departure. API.DLL is the cause of crash. Please advice and help. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Custom AI by myself using UTT and AIG flightplans. Around almost 300 airlines now. I use AirTrafficManager to limit AI. First off, hats off to LM for the amazing performance in P3D V2. One issue I have is after 10 minutes or so the screen will go black. The simulation continues in the background but the whole screen turns black. Anyone else seeing this?

I am running p3d v2.5 with all the common add-ons (PMDG, Aerosoft, multiple payware sceneries, orbx, rex soft clouds, ASN. It's been working great until recently. I'm having these stutters (really pauses) for like 6-8 seconds at a time and fairly frequent. I've done many tests, CPU using isn't spiking, multiple aircraft with multiple sceneries (FSDT, Taxi2Gate, Flightbeam, Aerosoft) and the pause is there. I updated to the most recent Nvidia driver recently, so I thought that may be the issue, but I reverted to the driver I was having no problems with, but the pause is still there. Hi all, I have a nice bloom effect when looking out of the VC, but when I hit F10 to remove the VC, the effect is gone and it looks quite dull. Is there a way, to have that effect with the VC removed, or do I need a bloom addon for this? Thanks Sven

Hi I just completed from installing the ftx vector global with the major issue of CONFIG FILE NOT WORKING, I copy the files manually and a see the cars but without roads (cars inter to the buildings) !!! Could anyone give the help please ? Thx

So i tried both of the settings posted in the description tab on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjmQ6QwqNmA I cant remember if it was the Low or High density one, but one of them gave me a start up menu where i could choose the starting airport, aircraft, weather etc etc. It kinda looked like the FSX menu. Does anyone know how to get that? Its kinda annoying that i have to go into the sim every time i going to a new airport or using a different plane.

Hello again- I just finished my first week with P3D and it is amazing. I have done a long haul with no problems and many short VFR flights and it is beautiful. But my frames aren't the best. I know FSX and P3D are different, but as a comparison, a flight in FSX that I would get 40+FPS, I only get 15-20FPS in P3D. Settings on default, and it looks plain and ugly. I bought P3D for cool shadows with the clouds and terrain and I can't have that is I want good FPS. I am running with an i7 4790K @ 4.0 default clock speed, 16 GB of RAM, and a GTX 650. I know the 650 is low, so what should I upgrade it to if I want the cool features of P3D as well as good FPS? Maybe not a…

Hello - I recently transitioned to P3D and, of course, am sorely missing my complex 737! Since I have only been a P3D user for a couple of weeks, I have spent some time trying to find comparisons between iFly and PMDG for the 737. I have not really been able to find anything, but was hoping someone can perhaps shed some light on these and help sway me in one direction or another. I already have every PMDG aircraft for FSX and love them, and additionally have the iFly 737NG for FSX as well. My pros and cons as of now: iFly offers 30 day guarantee (or at least I think they do but not 100% certain) and includes all 737 models at $10 less than the PMDG 800/900 pack. ON the ot…

After a failed VOXATC update, I was told that the cause was that my 1.4 registry key also pointed to the P3DV2 setup path. No biggie, I can work with the earlier VOXATC version. But I have never had anything less than P3D 2.0, so obviously, I never uninstalled a 1.4 version. I am no expert in registry matters. I believe the 1.4 keys are: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\LockheedMartin\P3D HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LockheedMartin\P3D A FSUIPC installation log also confirms a V 1.4. was found Questions: Was these 1.4 keys added by some add-on? I'm not an Orbx fan-boy by any stretch, but they really outdid themselves on this one. Just bought this airport, even though I don't own FSX Global it works fine. I saw the screenshots and then was like, ok I gotta check this one out. Looks great, but that said, they do need to fix the water near the main PAGO PAGO airport (NTSU - that's a bit much!), but I'll forgive it for the incredible trees and mountain scenery they did.

I'm one hotfix behind from up-to-date. I currently have 2.5.12944 installed. I have downloaded the full clean installer of 2.5.12945. I need some input from our community because gosh, I'm in a pickle. Is it best for me to wait and clean re-install everything when 2.6 comes along or clean uninstall & apply the latest build now? In anticipation of FT YSSY release wondering if there are any good/reliable airports on the market to purchase to complete a pair. In meantime, my closest airport to YSSY is VHHH. How about ORBX YMML and YNBC?

Just purchased & installed Orbx FTX Global last night and when launching the the program during the final phase of the installation process I got this error: "System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'E:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg'. File name: 'E:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg'" So I tricked the it by creating a new file terrain.cfg in P3D folder, program launches, but its saying no "Land Class"...info I got from LM P3D forum suggest, I get a copy of the terrain.cfg from the program data folder, copy to the Prepar3D v2 folder as a work around--not sure if this is the proper way of doing …

I updated to the latest Nvidia Driver 353.06 ever since getting that driver I've had three CTD not at the same time but days away . This is what I am seeing in the Event Viewer Unable to recover from a kernel exception. The application must close. Error code: 3 Visit http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html for more information. It is really weird as it is not a regular thing. Just happens once in a while mostly when on the initial climb.
