Hey to all SLI users Only, Below is a list of files which need to moved away or renamed etc (extension changed) in order to minimize SLI artifacts. Readers this post only Applies to NVIDIA SLI users of Latest P3D v2.5+ (2.5.12945.0 / 2.5.12946.0 HF4) with latest Nvidia Drivers (353.30) which have Prepar3d profile, as this is does NOT affect Single gpu users at all. Hi Just tried latest beta version of fscaptain . 1. It always unpacks with error reading some text document 2. Then the install completes with no entry in dll.xml and this no fscaptain in addon menu inshort not working Anybody has any luck with this in p3d 2.5 Almost feel like going back to FSX at this point cheers

Instead of trying to repair something that I broke, again, I wanted this time to post some images that I took of Playsims/Horizon VFR UK series. This is a base install, into Prepar3d 2.5, without the Treescapes autogen or VFR airfields and, most importantly, with tesselation disabled, to avoid the bleaching out of white ground textures. After resizing and mipmapping the included autogen textures, I played around with SweetFX and managed to get, what I consider to be, fairly accurate colouring, at least for a summer's day in the UK, ymmv.

Hi, Some days ago I've installed the last release of Saitek X52 Pro drivers & SST Profiler (vers 7.0.39.0) and since then the buttons and the switches (only them, the axes are working well) has stopped working. Through the control panel of windows buttons pression is registered and also on X Plane 10 & DCS everything is ok but P3D (V2.5) just doesn't see them. I have already tried to do a complete reinstall of the drivers (deleting both folders and reg. keys) but the problem persists and regenerating control.xml/P3D.cfg files. I use Madcatz profiler with P3D for my key bindings. Someone can help me finding a solution? My P3D installation is quite fre…

First, sorry about my English. Second, I have a problem with my Prepar3d : My simulator like doesn't recognize and doesn't paid attention to my Prepar3D.CFG file. I mean that I tried to tweak it with this guide : http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv2/LearningCenter/getting_started/performance/tuning_guide.html And nothing got better or worse- nothing has been changed, there isn't any change in the Prepar3D. Hey all, Does anyone use Rex Essential (WXPlus or Standard engine) with Aerosoft Airbus 320/321 and not have problems with the majorly erratic wind changes at cruise levels? I recently purchased REX and while the clouds look great the weather engine has made my Airbus unflyable. The erratic wind change directions cause lots of over speeds or slows the aircraft down to dangerous levels and sometimes the stress of the overspeed destroys the aircraft mid-air. I've raised a problem post on the REX forums but I wondered if anyone on here had the issue and had maybe found a fix they could share? So its out, for P3D I know I am a bit early to be asking for comparisons to ORBX's LC in P3D but... any?

Sometimes you dont always know what makes the smooth ride in P3D. Add to that a change of hardware and you might want to start all over. I do have a SLI system but it does not work. Then i wanted to try single system and found peace with trip buffering in NI and P3D and as well Vsync only in P3D. Now, this system has made me forget SLI for a while seeing my GTX970SC makes it at 50-70% in the PMDG777 Why is it that i can make it so smooth down to 20 fps ? and i meen smooth .Could it be that the FPS counter inside P3D is wrong or ? This is rare - I had this experience before with my GTX780SC on a previous driver so to speek. Michael Moe

Hello, This after I've re-installed P3Dv2.5 to try to cure error. I seem to be getting a g3d.dll freeze everytime when I fly towards N52*15′ latitude over the UK from RAF Waddington towards RAF Scampton EGXP. If I load a flight plan for any where south of that line, say Exeter, Biggin Hill etc., the flight loads and flies OK. Load a flight plan for RAF Scampton and it will freeze with a g3d.dll error on finalizing load. I’ve disabled all photographic scenery via my Scenery Library and the result is still the same. I have three monitors connected to two GTX970 cards configured in SLI surround. I also have a fourth monitor added but not part of the three main ones. I use the Ifly 737NG for Prepar3d, and want to use the 4th monitor to display the IFR captain instrument screen. What is he best way to do it? I have done it via undocking the view and dragging the IFR panel with the mouse to the fourth monitor. It works pretty good as long as the main screens are not in "full screen mode" as soon as I put the main screens on that full screen mode, the resolution of the fourth one goes down and it gets blurry. Does anybody know a better way to connect it and avoid this issue? Thank…

Maybe Beau made a slip on the Prepar3d forum. " . We are revamping the menus in v3 to avoid this issues moving forward." A possible indication thatt they are moving to v3 ?

Don't know if it does anything or breaks the sim completely but thought you guys should know. looks like they fixed a bug for FSX though so maybe there is something in there for us?

Can anyone who is connected to Prepar3D kindly enlighten em why all of a sudden, out of the blue when I fire up P3D v2,5, I am being asked for activation, when it was done ages ago when I first purchased and installed it? And yet it has been running fine with no activation crap for goodness-knows-how-long. It's nonsense like this that will eventually drive people off this hobby. And before anyone comes up with a suggestion of asking this on the Prepar3D website forum, has anyone ever tried to navigate that morass of convoluted menus?

Hi Folks, Been running P3D for a while now, but my machine that I have had for 5 years, the motherboard is failing and the pc is intermittently working. I’ve done quite a bit of research and I have decided to get the i7-4790k with an Asus Maximus VII Hero mobo. Just wanted to get some peoples perception on how much performance difference I will get from the 2600K to the 4790K Devils Canyon Chip. Look forward to your responses. PS I have to upgrade anyway as you can no longer purchase new socket 1155 motherboards and so I need a new cpu aswell. Thanks.

Hello, How can I change the ai spot view camera so all ai planes show from the side instead of the front? I have seen the camera config for ai planes but that's as far as I can get. In FSX you could just move your joystick and all the planes would be in that position when you click on them or there was a degree and you could set it to 45 degrees or whatever you want. There doesn't seem to be a clear setting in P3D v 2.5 for tech challenged people like me. Thank you

Hi y'all, Been a long time since I posted anything. I am having serious VAS issues with SLI (P3D 2.5 latest)- it only happens in Orbx FTX regions for the most part. I have i7-5820K Overclocked to 4.4ghz, and 2x980 GTX SLI and 4K Monitor. My prepar3d and Nvidia Inspector settings are same as Rob settings as mentioned on his website http://www.robainscough.com/P3D_SLI_Settings.html Only weather addon I have is Active Sky Next active at the moment. My textures are 1024 along with Rex Texture Direct + Soft Clouds. My vas usages climbs like crazy when I am flying around Orbx KORS in FTX PNW (I disabled Vector). I don't even fly to Seatle, and VAS just jumps…
