Has anyone had VAS OOM while still on the ground? Yesterday I had repeated OOM s while on Finals to UK2000's EGLL Rwy9R, no ASN. Today, I had OOM while on the ground at EGLL prepping the flight+ASN+FS2Crew+AivlaSoft, Never had OOMs before now all of a sudden it is happening whilst still on the ground. Be grateful if anyone can shed any light. Only thing different I've done is install 3 newly-purchased TropicalSIm sceneries.

Hi guys, Sitting on rwy or even anywhere in Dubai using FLYTAMPA DUBAI rebooted with PMDG777 I get 30-40 fps easily , While taking off with same a/c from default EDDB Or Rio I get 20-30fps How is that possible to get more fps with much more complex and detailed scenery like Flytampa?!!!! My settings are reasonably high MY specs i7 4790k @4.4ghz Gigabyte gtx970 soc 8gb Gskill ram P3d installed on 60gb SSD

One of the drawbacks of coming back to this sim after a period of a few years is that what was state-of-the-art back then has now been superceded, and trying to upgrade can be a bit of a challenge when you've already got an installation in place. I'm wanting to add some of the ORBX scenery to my previous FSX install, especially while they have the 37% off sale. I would assume the place to start would be FTX Global and FTX Vector, and possibly FTX openLC for Europe, then go on from there with their PNW scenery and a few airports. Hi there! I just purchased and installed FTX EU Norway. I also have FTX Global, FTX Vector, FS Global 2010 and FTX Open LC EU installed. I activated the region in the FTX central, thereafter, I updated the files (SP1) to the most current version. My ORBX libs are up to date as well. Nonetheless, it doesn´t look as it should, here you can see a screenshot of the area around Trondheim (with Aerosoft Vaernes installed): What have I done wrong here? I'm a very frustrated simmer. I've been using a CH Eclipse yoke with P3D and Win 8.1 for nearly 3 years with no issues. In the past month or so, around the time of upgrade to 2.5, my controller is no longer recognized. LM just shows "mouse yoke. All of the buttons can be assigned with the CH program and still work in P3D. That's not the issue. The problem is that, if P3D does not recognize the controller, neither does FSUIPC. Consequently, my rudders are way out of calibration and the plane veers wildly right. No amount of calibration in WIndows fixes it. The controller calibrates fine in Windows and can be seen and used in any other windows program--just not P3D. I…

Hi, I'm just starting to look at P3D now and would like to get some advise on what license to purchase? At the moment I have a very nicely running dx10 fsx with all orbx, pmdg, fscrew, asn, etc etc, so what would be the licence to buy? Or does it make a difference? I have been using EZDok since the day I moved to P3D and while I'm totally in love with EZDOK functionality (despite harsh set-up process), after 3 months of being P3D flyer I have had enough with EZDok reliability. Constant work-stops, keyboard conflicts etc. Using 1.18 beta now. Just wondering how good OPUS is in terms of functionality/reliability Thanks Dmitriy

I've got P3dV2.4 installed and it works well. It's on a traditional 7200 rpm hd. I'm getting a ssd installed tomorrow on which I'd like to install 2.5 now that it seems to have the bugs out of it. is there any problem with installing 2.5 before removing 2.4 from the computer? I plan to buy an additional licence for the 2nd install. I've put a lot of work into building 2.4 and would like to make sure my 2.5 is working fine before I blow off 2.4. Hello, I tried to ask this on LM forum, but received no answer. I run P3D v2.5 and until last week I was experiencing really bad fps. Flying with the Aerosoft Airbus A320, I struggled to maintain 20-25 fps at cruise altitude, 12-15 fps on approach at detailed airports (like FSDT) and 8-10 fps on the ground. Then I came across the OPTIMIZE PARTS=1 tweak, which gave me an extra 10 fps, which is great. However, looking at other threads, it seems that these fps are still pretty low, if compared to what other people are experiencing, even those with low-end computers. I understand this is very subjective, but I'm still wondering if, given my PC specs, I should ask for …

hello everyone , i just got my P3d v2.5 (finally ) but for my bad luck , i had Anti-aliasing problem with it, I am using AMD 7670M 2 GB graphic card with a built in Intel 4000 HD ( yes , it's a laptop) , i only see my Intel 4000 GPU card detected in my graphics menu , i had tried all the maximum aliasing settings both in the P3D Menu and in the CCC , but it still didn't work , any help please ? BTW : it's working well on FSX !

Just figured I'd let you all know that I bought MMMX after the sale (naturally, of course!) and have decided to redo the landclass... lemme explain: In P3D--and especially using the PMDG 777 or 737 (common aircraft at MMMX)--I've found that I'll OOM pretty quick. This seems to be due to 2 things: the use of higher resolution textures at the airport and the massive amounts of autogen in the "MMMX-terrain" folder. The solution to the first issue is rather simple and I can elaborate here if anyone is interested. After many hours of trial and error testing I was finally able to identify the single file causing this OOM issue. filename: cvxOresund_Terrain.bgl location: ...\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Copenhagen_LC\scenery rename the file to cvxOresund_Terrain_blg.OFF While investigating this issue I also notice that the following files caused stutters and performance issues in P3D V2.5 (12945): filenames: ekch_rwy*.bgl location: ...\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Copenhagen\scenery Hope this helps others running into OOM problems. As I moved to P3D right from Fs2004, I noticed that night lighting has slightl different mechanism that it was in FS2004. In fact, the lighting becomes active when it's getting way too dark and remains off during mild dusk/dawn times. It is just me or it's normal for P3D? Thanks Dmitriy

I am about to purchase ORBX Global Base and I would like to get some confirmation on a few points regarding the setup and installation. I currently have GEX North America and GEX Europe installed and UTX for Europe. I also have many ORBX regions and airports already installed. Questions: 1) Can I just install Orbx Global over all of the above? 2) Is it better? or necessary? to uninstall any or some of the above before I install Global. 3) When I install FTX Global I have read that there is a Hybrid mode that I can use to have Global and all my existing regions active at the same time. I am having issues with Track IR 5 freezing or getting application error while flying VRS TacPack in P3D. While fiying approx. 20 - 30 min. into flight my TIR will stop working. The green lights will remain on until I reboot, and P3D will continue working. Or I will get an Application Error/Memory Error, still I can click OK and TIR will quit working but P3D still works. Hi everyone , i am currently having this issue that i didn't had before with FSDT- KJFK + Aerosoft A320. Before i was getting 20FPS and above now i am getting 12FPS.This is what i am currently using ASN+ REX Soft Clouds + My Traffic Pro 6.0- Slider at 20% Only Airline Traffic Is it only me or does FSDT KJFK still a Low FPS airport even in P3D? Hi guys, Sorry if this was discussed before i just couldn't find anything about it. The thing is that i like to fly airlines, the only thing from making the night flying my favorite flying time is that the city/road lights texture are not bright enough. i played a lot my display settings and i just couldn't find the right result. is there any way to make the night lights texture stronger (brighter) from high altitudes. i am not speaking about 3D lights which are visible anyway above some altitude.
