I believe that I once had this going on in FSX but I don't recall how I fixed it. My computer is running great and so is the sim, but, in the flight planner and creating scenario areas, when I click on "save" or "load" it takes a long time for the program to respond. Usually I have to press it again. Of course when it responds now I have two dialogue boxes open. Anyone ever experience this?

i have the MS force feedback2 joystick and it did work in P3D 2.5 but now it will not do so. When I try to reinstall I get a message 'Rundll32 has stopped working'. I cannot find this anywhere to fix it. Does anyone know the solution please? I do not have FSX. I am on Win 10.x 64 John

I have noticed lately (mainly because I am just starting to fly at night) that when approaching a city with an airport that I can see the lights for the airport well in advance of the lights of the city instead of intermingled. In fact the lights in the city do appear they appear in two "stages", the first circle is bright like the airport and the next ring is barely there but seems pretty dim. I am flying in ORBX FTX regions (PNW, CRM) and have Vector lights turned on. All scenery settings are to the right (including LOD) and I'm flying in and around PASCO in the CRM region (so not a very heavy area) with decent frame rates (40+). 10+ visibility on ASN. Syst…

I flew out of LFKB yesterday, and found there were no taxiways at all at that airport. Is there something wrong with my BGL at that airport, or is that just the default scenery missing the taxiways?

Guys, I 'm looking into upgrading to P3D, and I was asking myself why they claim the sw is for training and not for gaming. In what way? I would be using the sw for training only, but didn't understand what differences are there between, say, FSX and P3D in relation to training. More customizable in terms of failures, weather...maybe? I will use it to run PMDG 777 Anyone willing to explain this?

So I think I'm having a bit of an issue with FTX Global/Vector. I've installed them into both FSX and P3D (the latter I just bought and am just getting used to). Global and Vector both look great in FSX, however I've noticed that even though the same version is also installed into P3D the terrain looks different than it does in FSX. Take for example these photos below, taken at the same location. FSX looks just as it should in real life (this is my hometown airport) with lots of trees in the area shown. However, in P3D, there seems to be farmland. which is incorrect. Also, I've noticed that other areas look a bit brighter/more green, or closer to default in P3D than in FS…

Under the realism settings there two settings I'm not sure if I should keep checked or not. They are called 'Ignore weight' and 'Ignore forces'. I know I read about this somewhere in the past and what was the preferred setting and why but can't remember where and did some searching on the net now but haven't been able to find a solid answer. Anyone?

I am thinking of purchasing a PFC yoke but they do not list P3d compatibility. Does any here have one and use it in P3d or should I look for an alternative yoke?

Hi everyone. I've got a texture problem with freeware sceneries which are rendered for FSX. In where I live and fly mostly, there are just freeware sceneries and all are old. So there are some problems with textures as you can see in the pic below. Any suggestions about it? Is there a way to fix? I have the same problem in several freeware airports, not just this one.

Hi all, I've been doing some instrument flying exercises and I'm trying to get a dense overcast without hammering performance. So far, I've been going back and forth between Active Sky settings and P3D settings, trying this and that. I wonder if anyone else has gone through this exercise and can give some tips. Thanks!

Well, i am currently a FSX user and have been for a while, but im wanting to transfer to p3d as the graphics look much more smoother. I'm just wondering what addons i would need on p3d and how much it would cost (PMDG, EzDok, Ground Crew etc)

Anyone using this airport in P3D with FTX Globsl and FTX vector? I installed the trail last night and noticed that it clashed really bad with Orbx textures. If anyone has this is there a way to make it blend with Orbx?

Hello! Let me begin by saying I am fairly new to flight sims. Have had experience in the past but it has been a while. Anyway, my problem is I can't map keys to my joystick and throttle. I use the Saitek X52 and have read not to use their software so I uninstalled it and that did not change anything. What happens is, when I go to controls to assign a new button and choose a button to assign, for example elevator trim up, and I press the key I would like to assign it to, nothing happens. Nothing in the box appears like 'Button 4' or something. It just stays blank and doesn't work. Also the first time I loaded up P3D with the X52 plugged in, I am fairly sure it said in …

Hi Guys, I need some help. I have an AMD Six Core & since i am really not that good with computing/math i was wondering if someone knows or can check for me what the Affinity Mask Setting Should Be for an AMD Six Core because i truthfully don't know. I'm a new simmer so my question might seem rather basic. Lately I've been flying the A2A C182. I've purchased some airport addons eg LatinVFR KSNA, FSDreamteam CYVR. I've noticed when I'm only a couple of thousand feet AGL if I switch my view to be out the side window the scenery is slowly redrawn with higher detail. Its only certain areas of the view that are re-drawn not the whole view. What settings should I adjust to try to eliminate or at least minimize this behavior? I'm running 2 GTX 970 in SLI and I've been getting good frame rates so I think I have room to make some tweaks. Cheers!
