Hi Folks, First post, hi I've started my PPL training in a PA28 Warrior and was wondering if anyone could recommend a PA28 that works with P3Dv2? There is mention on the compatibility list that the Carenado FSX product doesn't work? Thanks, Stew

After a "PC Event" I have to re-register my several ORBX scenery items into P3D 2.5. Is there any method, other than individual item manual installation, to get these into the P3D scenery database?

Hi, I think I'm slowly growing to idea of purchasing prepar and switch from Fsx. Currently I have fsx installed on nice SSD drive. My question is: can I install prepar on the same drive and erase fsx later or will there be any conflict. Tom

Did anyone try the latest update to PAKT yet? I had hoped that it would fix the missing runway lights but it didn't. The runway is still pitch black with Prepar3D 2.5 and the latest NVIDIA driver. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

Good day I hope someone can help me. I have decided to make the move from FSX to P3d. I got myself the Academic version. I record my flights with kACARS for my VA. I have installed the latest FSUIPC version for P3D, but whenever I try to connect to the Sim (P3D), I get an error that reads "FSUIPC Error #7: FSUIPC_ERR_VERSION. Incorrect version of FSUIPC." I'm trying to figure out how to setup panning tower view. I have a ch yoke with fsuipc assigned to the yoke. Pan and zoom works aok with the hat switch in virtual cockpit When I go into tower view, I can zoom in and out, but the hat switch to pan does not work. I tried default aircraft and some third party aircraft. I also tried mouse look, but nothing happens in either VC or tower view. I tried the keyboard commands to move around, shift-arrows, but those did not work either. should of kept searching...note there's correct view option a bit further down... http://forum.avsim.net/topic/355925-editing-tower-view/

Any hints on how to get it to work? I downloaded the installer and pointed the different packages to a folder I created in Simobjects called "AiTraffic". Then I went to simobject.cfg in programdata and added the "AiTraffic" as an own entry. Do I have to deactivate default Ai traffic or?

Contrarily to FSX, P3D get's regular updates, some of them deep enough to require re-install. I have only two aircraft add-ons in my P3Dv2 - PMDG 777 and CARENADO B1900d - and only one scenery - Aerosoft Madeira. But! I do own ORBX FTX Global, and since I always use AUTOGEN and TRESS at it's full left seting ( nill ), I am tempted to install ORBX Global because it really enhances the default textures, but.... If sooner or later a new P3D update is required, how do you suggest I should cope with such a big install ? Uninstall ORBX FTX Global ? Can I uninstall P3D to upgrade to a new version, and still keep ORBX folders and files ? Any tricks ? Thx for any …

If anyone has successfully installed the last updated version of this scenery. I realize they are making a new scenery for Atlanta but would like ti enjoy this scenery till then, if it can be done. All I get are the shadows of buildings. I installed the original fsx (2012) and then updated the fsx and then added the update for p3dv2. Please explain in simple terms. I'm fairly accustomed to installing third party airport scenery, making sure it is activated in the scenery library calling it a day. Does anyone have any other routines they follow when installing TP airports, like removing default .bgl's/, AFX files to a backup folder, so that only the new airport texture and scenery files are loaded and displayed?

... cannot land. When they touchdown on the water surface they start crazy bouncing and jumping (up 100 feets in all directions). I am using v2.5 with latest hotfix. AI floatplanes are from FSAdddon (Tongass Fjords and Van+). If I remember correctly, on earlier P3Dv2 versions it did work correctly. Any ideas what I could do?

I was wondering if P3D has a persistent location mode where it automatically starts the next flight where you left off the last. Just thought this would be kind of a neat form of immersion. Yes I know it sounds a little lazy :-) Any insight is appreciated. Thanks, Brett

I used to have an add on for FSX that let you pause at a certain nautical mile away from the destination airport. Is there anything like that for p3d?

Ok lets start off with the problem, 70-86% VAS when loaded up into a payware airport with the NGX, PMDG 777 and Airbus x...by the time i reach TOD i HAVE TO SAVE AND RESTART , i have all my addons textures at the lowest RES for eg airports and cloud textures...i use orbx global...texture max load is 1024....my scenery settings are what ORBX global recommends which is isnt maxed out and LOD radius at Medium, also i only have VC shadows and Aircraft shadows enabled. Specs - GTX 750ti 2gb, 8gb ram, i7 4790k....i use the Fiber frame time fractioning tweak at 0.01 and optomize parts My VAS loads are so bad one time i had to save and restart the sim TWICE whilst doing OMDB …

I've just did a complete fresh install with WIndows 10 and over the whole, it works fine, everything looks really good and is perfectly smooth with great FPS, but I'm having 2 performance issues. The first is that I've lost quite a bit of VAS, compared to what I had in Win7. For example, with the Majestic Q-400 my VAS lowered by as much as 400MB and what's even more, a simple aircraft as the Carenado Skymaster looses close to 800MB, even. The other problem is with ASN. From fair weather to cloudy weather normally costs me like 10-12FPS, but now with Win10, this has increased to as much as 20FPS. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem, here?

Moved to P3dv2, win 10, fresh install of system and only my two long time flight simulators FSX ( now P3Dv2 ) and Aerowinx ( now PSX, after many years with PS1 ... ). But!.... there was something missing, something I couldn't resist... the 777 !!! At first the people at Orbx would be the complete scenery solution. Now apparently they recommend FS Global or as many as the FS Ultimate series as you can afford. All I want to know is if I have Orbx Vector 1.30 do I need FTX Vector, or indeed would people recommend it over the Orbx product? I am still confused about the install order after FSX and Acceleration. Is it Orbx Global first or say FTX Ultimate Americas and Europe. And Orbx also have their European land classes which I wonder whether I need if I use FTX Ultimate and Africa. I don't believe there is a definitive answer to this one, I'm just looking to avoid wasting money on products that I don't need. And…

I'm getting this strange flashing thing in the Sky, any ideas? I fly Prepar3d V2....60 (latest hotfix) I use Active Sky Next, build 5689.
